- The main character of Final Fantasy XV Noctis is here in Brave Exvius, and he got released in both Global & Japan servers in December 2016. However, it seems that they have different specs. This video is the comparison between the global & JP Noctis, and also the comparison between Noctis VS Japan server's current best attacker which is Onion Knight. How was the result? I understand their reason for the nerf, I mean if Noctis was powerful same as in Japan you just made sure you pull 3 and you are done for a year, no need to pull anymore for at least that long and that equals no more cash.
you the real mvp you really put the ring of lucii on Noctis. just like in the game, only a true worthy king can wear and use it, oh hail the King
when the enhancements (with the content as far as jp is now) will be unlocked noctis will probably be able to get those stats/abilities.

I pulled him in JP last night! So happy!
The thing about noctis is that he's a chain finisher, you need to get around 2 Chainers to make him worth enough than 2 Orlandeus or 2 D.Veritas chaining, i think the JP actual meta is chaining to deal high Damage, so 2 Orlandeus or 2 D.Veritas will do more damage than 1 D.Veritas/Orlandeu + 1 Noctis (obviusly Noctis is good, but he need to get 2 Units chaining to get his ATK to the limit)
that is what onion knight best for :)
Yeah Onion is awesome for chaining sadly he's little faster than Orlandeu or D.Veritas so you need to use another Onion for chaining or time their chaining skills, but yeah noctis is excellent
Global Noctis is probably #3 best unit Global has only beaten by Cecil, and Gilgamesh. In overall worth he is weaker then japan version but if we got JP he would be # in almost every category.
I pulled 2 Noctis in the global, does it have any chance of upgrading skills?

I'm a F2P on GL, but I looked up the translated JP page a few times for the units that will be 6* in the future, so I have some question I hope you don't mind answering:
1. I have a Firion, on JP, he gets a +100% Damage modifier against all sorts of things (including Humans) when awakened as well as a Skill doing 230% and ignore Defence 50%... his base stats and modifiers also seem quite good. So shouldn't he be a real powerhouse when his modifiers kick in?
2. I also have Exdeath and Kefka... I realize they are no top-tier units, but do they remain "good enough" to get trough events and a somewhat decent arena Placement (if playing arena actively)?
3. I also have Vaan, which I got from pulling for Charlotte (2 times so far, but I kinda want her...). I know he's not great (and I really didn't like him in FF XII either) but I think he has some potential as support chara and his 6* lvl 100 Ability has 8 hits in the discription, so I assume I could just use him with 2 status inflicting Weapons (even tough they're usually not that good) and spam it when he's not doing full breaks or something. However, the google translated version of his 6* lvl 72 Skill is quite confusing and I don't really get what it does.
4. Lastly, I have Terra... but JP has a "Trance Terra" version or so where she looks like she's using her LB... does that mean she's obsolete or is she still a viable unit to have?
1. Yes his damage is really good if you can get his atk stats really high (with TMs).
2. Yes they are "good enough" since arena's damage is limited to 999 damage per 1 attack (even if there will be better units in the future).
3. Vahn's skill lv72 is 210% atk, 100% chance sick.
4. The normal Terra? She is good at 6stars, but the Trans Terra is definitely the better version of the normal Terra.

They announced Cerius and Medius becoming 6* Star units with the next patch in Global, is there any info on them from JP?
keep firion for now but replace him with a better damage dealer if you get one since the biggest problem is that he has no AOE attack
Well, he doesn't really have anything in global yet... but I don't think AoE is that important for a single Unit. In most events you fight a single Boss or multiple weaker ones so it's not so much of a deal it seems.
As far as Arena is concerned, it's difficult to say from Global because he only really shines with 6 Stars and awakened abilities in JP, where he gets the magnification against Human units. The magnification is so high, that I think even his Bladeblitz will go to the 999 cap reliably (2x with Dual Wield).
That said, I'd most likely try to use his Lance skill, so while he doesn't do a lot of damage with it (2x 999 single target with dual wield), he'd heal up and leave the other unit without MP, which means they can only do 2x999 as well unless the AI manages to recover MP with another unit or it's one of the few units with passive mp recovery, like Elza, which could recover enough to use Lance (which would be rather surprisingly smart for the AI) - but otherwise even Barrage would need a MP of 320 to recover enough.
Again, I'm talking from the perspective of a F2P Player which doesn't bother with re-rolls (hands down, everything we have will be obsolete the moment they start with FF VII), I don't go for a top 3000 Rank or anything fancy.
MadIIMike Unfortunately while one can dream i don't believe lance can do 999 damage without the use of the game's most powerful tms and at that point why use it on firion right? Im also f2p and i used firion for a while however i quickly swapped him out for garland -> gaffgarion -> chizuru
firion is certainly interesting (since he can equip anything) and ill probably 6* him for the hell of it but the only thing i see going for him is his fully enhanced fin briar and legend killer
About the 300% aoe vs 400% aoe. Are you sure that the 300% is hybrid? because if it's a pure atk based atk I'd say 300% is better

noctis has been buffed back now i think. He was much 2 op on global so they nerfed him but now that other good units are out they buffed him to look more like the jp one

we got shafted!! GL Noctis hits like a baby compared to JP Noctis. LOL. Hopefully they will make this up with some kind of Enhancements upgrade to get him to the same level at least.
actually, the battles are all harder in Global. apart from the favoritism for Jp version, and the teabag for global, it's also about frustrating you into paying

maybe they will up noctis after a while bec. if they do it now orlandu and other 6s will become outclassed. but the magic skills one is really fishy.
Ushi do this kind of test in the puppet test area, is like te BF one. Is up north in moogle world and there is an immortal puppet to test

No. No MP regen effect will stack with other MP regen effects, the stronger regen will overwrite the weaker one. The only exception is "Auto-Refresh" from some base 5s.

noctis also isn't the best chain capper, because his attacks end up having 3 hits, which makes it even harder to hit the chain cap for all 6 potential hits ( if dual wielding )

This is the first time where I have seen the Japanese version have something better than the Global on this channel. Brave Frontier Global exclusives are amazing, but this guy is completely outclassed by his Japanese counterpart.
yep this is true! Noctis is definitely a really great unit! fills all sorts of roles.

Noctis doesnt have as much damag as onion knight, because he doesnt chain as well as him. He does more than just attacking tho so he's as good if not better overall
don't forget that you can use Noctis alongside with 2 onions for the easy sparks. :)
Onion knight ranked 1 as a best damage dealer.. noctis ranked 4 the last time i check... so yeah, you should be know the different.
Noctis however, while being a good damage dealer it's not really his speciality, one roll he could fill.. that no one else couldn't fill(as there's no tier list for it) is "jack of all-trades"... he could fulfill the roll of being your attacker at the same time being a great supporter unit as majority of his skills are consisted of buff and debuffing, also great tank that can take the damage(not as good as cecil though) as his def is relatively high also combined with king's power shield... also thanks to the "fish" skill. Thus being said, he is the best "can do everything" unit.. really a jack of all trades, the only downside is he doesn't learn any magic.. well, not really a problem though since his MAG also relatively high, meaning; you could give him a magic you wanted.
lastly.. the best thing about him is the Limit Burst.... it's easily the strongest LB(11.6x damage at max) that have a great Buffing effect( increase ATK/MAG/DEF/SPR 74% for 2 turns to all allies, at max)

He's 5 star base... so if your ready to possibly empty your wallet or saved lapis without getting him, go for it.
If you're F2P or... well, anything less than a whale (or blessed by the RNG Gods), I'd recommend focusing on 3* or maybe 4* base units.
The Japanese version is to easy it's not even fun.

Due to the "def-%" from Warp-Break, no. The second attack will be stronger.
You probably misunderstood my comment. I'm saying that if the higher attack weapon is in the left hand, the damage will be slightly higher including with def-% from Warp-Break. Since the right hand attack hits first, it makes sense to put the weaker weapon in the right hand because the left hand weapon attack benefits from the def-% that was applied with the right hand attack.
For example, let's say you equip Enhance Sword and Excalibur on Orlandu and you use Holy Burst. Since Enhance Sword is only 82 atk vs Excalibur's 120 atk, it makes more sense to put the 82 atk weapon in the right hand and the 120 atk weapon in the left hand because the right hand attacks first applying Holy Resist down from Holy Burst, which then allows the left hand to deal maximum damage.
OK still beats him as the best damage dealer
