Hi Maaike apparently I am a “Summer” in the colour analysis ie soft muted shades look best on me. I don’t really wear colours according to whether they are a season, but just to coordinate with my outfit tbh. What does change for me in the warmer weather is the kind of makeup look I favour. I go much lighter and less polished with tinted moisturiser, cream/liquid blush, tinted balm/gloss and more simplistic eye looks often using cream/liquid/stick shadows rather that palettes. It is just a more casual makeup look overall I guess. I do like coloured eyeliner in the Summer on the bottom lashline and turquoise becomes a favourite at this time of year. Best wishes x
Yes lighter makeup in the summer is the way to go for me as well. I have been loving my choice to review lots of K-beauty cushion foundations this summer as they make for a perfect lightweight base that just works in the warmer weather.
Nice choices, Maaike 😍 I have palettes I shouldn't love, but I do, even though they may not be ideal for me tone-wise (I'm really enjoying The Nomad by Juvia's atm.)
I love your eyeshadow look, and I really like how you do your eyeshadow. Great palette picks and glad to see all different types of palettes. I do not want to see just bright palettes. I have been loving colorful eyeshadow this summer, and my favorite eyeshadow is brown and taupes. I can't get enough of green and orange eyeshadow this summer. I tend to use warm eyeshadow in the summer and cool tones the rest of the year.
Definitely appreciate seasonal makeup; for me it's as much about a shift in style as it is colors-- the light is just different here, and I respond to that, although this summer has been so hot that I've not worn makeup as often 😢. But today it's a bit cooler (so far) and I'm going to pull out that old Tarte Sizzle palette and have some fun.
Yes different light and also if you tan easily you can't keep wearing the same things. So I definitely like to adapt parts of my makeup look for summer especially.
Just checked- Soft Glam still being sold at Ulta here in the US in the full size as well as the mini version. Not seeing Modern Renaissance though so times are changing.
Seasonal makeup? I just throw on what I'm into at the moment. Like you said, there are no rules to makeup. P. S. Sydney Grace Christmas in July sale starts on Monday. Already compiling the wishlist.....
I can’t wait for eyeshadow palette month. You always come up with some great ideas 😁
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

The Nomad is stunning. It is on my going back to pile for the fall for sure.

I selected some blue palettes to play with and it's been very successful and I have very happy with all the looks I did.
I enjoyed your picks
Thank you!

@@FloatinginDreams Ha, I don't tan. I remain pasty year round; though like you, with an extra level of pallor in dead winter.

Yes it is still for sale in some places.

Yes I saw that as I was linking the palette. I had initially planned this video to go live on Tuesday, so my posting order was a bit off.
