A video on how I rig up, store and make my thin lip mullet spinner rigs. Following my mullet fishing video. #mullet #mulletfishing #thinlippedmullet #fishing #lurefishing #seafishing .
@@robertmoore2402 yep will work for sure, there’s a few other ways I have been doing similar over the last two years. Although you won’t go wrong with this, also check out the mullet fishing tips video
You must have read my mind. Being a bit of a Pike fisherman i was thinking of making a wire boom. Great video saved me alot of hassle. As i'm watching i'm thinking i need to keep that flourocarbon straight i will put it in my carp rig holder. lo and behold you do the same.
That's a well explained video pal and thank you for putting in the effort and time to do it iv not seen this before and iv been thinking of trying to do some Mullet fishing as a bad shoulder injury has affected my longer casting
@@carperblue Iv had 8 surgeries on my shoulder 3 done by my local hospital which were cock ups and 5 more operations 2 of them were reconstructions it's left me in a chronic pain scenario where I'm never not in pain it's left me not able to enjoy most of my hobbies cos of the pain levels Iv now been referred back to the specialist hospital in London again cos of the levels of pain I'm in with the shoulder I'm hoping at some point to be able to get back to fishing and some of my other hobbies
Well explained spinning rig set up. When I get back to Spain I shall be trying it out. I have a question though, have you ever used imitation worm and was it successful?
Hi, I get asked this quite a lot , yes I have. As long as you can rig it and get it straight, trailing, fishing flush with the bend of last hook it can be quite effective. I used the larger sizes isome and also I have tried the smaller red one. The larger natural colour worked quite well. I have also caught with just a red maggot on a single small hook
Yes I have used isome, and caught. On several occasions. I am not sure it’s quite as effective. I have also caught on a small hook and two red maggots. Was going to be on a video soon. However few other projects on the go and little time
My hunch would be your competition is going to be about the bass. 😉. I think mullet all going to be 46-53cm. Perch difficult but possible 30cm is a big one. Most I guess won’t find a perch. Although I rarely tried I have caught them in the upper stretches . There’s usually small ones round the bridge structure and under the boats on led
@Carperblue Fishing Thanks Garry, 3 mullet will be extremely helpful in the comp. I have not had an opportunity to target them at all. It is very much an unknown for me. You are right, though, the bass are going to be critical.
Hi Jake, thanks for your questions and for watching. I think I show the prepared, baited rig on my mullet madness video, if you watched it? It may give you a comparison for size and length, I only ever buy my worms, they can be quite big but I don’t use a whole one. Probably 6 or 7cm being my preference. I like the head end as it’s more durable, however the fish can’t notice it’s just the tail end does not last long. Often they pull it apart or the baby bass do. You can catch them whilst trolling, I have often caught them on a wind based drift. However trolling is often banned in harbour estuaries so please check. You can often find them a long way up river 3 miles is not uncommon where I live.
@@carperblue thanks mate ill have another go for them in the summer. Was hoping to go up the ooze near lewes. Seen loads down there but couldn't get them last time! Cheers for the advice
I have tried it, I prefer the stuff with memory it is stiffer , just steam it straight, more recently I am experimenting with the fused Gemini fluro stiff links. Anything that reduces the chance of tangling is the trick. These work very well I have caught hundreds of mullets on them
A cracking informative video. I’m on it in the morning, making some of your rigs. Many thanks
Thank you very much, there are several videos of them in action and another later video on how to catch mullet. Stay tuned
Great clip , thanks mate , hopefully I can get it to work !!

Do you ever add a controller float
No never used a float just done two days had over 20 mullet
When using rag what size do you use? I can dig them out the bank bit it's messy work. What about the bigger rag from tackle shop ?
I'll be in the kayak after so don't want to be caked in mud
Also ! Can you troll the spinner

@@fishforagecook.7948 I catch them in the Ouse at Lewis and down to Newhaven every year , very local to me
why not use memory free Amnesia as a final hooklength , doesnt matter thats its not fleuro as the rag will hide most of the line..thats what i use..
