For Irradiate micro you can enable hp bar for damaged units in your Starcraft setting. It also makes pull back micro significantly easier as well. As for units getting more expansive, what you can do is to intentionally cap yourself at 190 supply then make a lot of production and queue units in them. You will only pay the cheap price but when the unit actually got out it’ll be the strong version of the unit.
