As much as I like Anker products. Their battery packs are something that I try not to rely on. It’s good to hear that the 633 is better when it comes to heat. I have the one before the 622. I used that thing as a hand warmer with how warm it got.
I was totally going to go with the 622, but your comments about the heating made me pause. This sounds like it might be perfect, albeit a bigger battery than I really wanted. Thanks! Your videos have been super helpful!
the way how 622 looks and stands is so much better than the 633, and even though half of the battery capacity of that of 633, i still think that would be way more than enough, after all for most of us, even just 50% percent of an extra power would be enough.
I have the Apple magsafe battery pack and it really couldn’t fully charge my phone. I’ve had Anker products for a long as I remember and never had any issues, I’m getting the 633 now thanks to your review!
The Anker 622 is the one I have. If you open the kickstand the power information is on there Tee. It’s rated at 12 watts input & 12 watts output through USB-C. Good video! Makes me want to check out the 633! Great job dude!
The upgraded new version of the 622 doesn't get hot has the USBC port on the side and can be powered off as well. It seems like the new version has fixed all of the complaints people have
@@sukhpreetdeol7865 it’s better than most of the wireless batteries I have when it comes to heat dissipation and creation maybe I should make a quick short about it
@@GottaGeek Yes, the model number I am seeing (a1611g21), suggests it's 2021 but who knows! Anyway the manual in their website is dated 2021 and has figures of the old model. So I guess it's more by chance if you receive a new or old iteration.
07:20 you can use the 633 in landscape mode as well, it's because you are doing it wrong. you just need to stick the iPhone horizontally and not vertically on the battery itself. then the stand will work perfectly fine even in landscape mode. it's actually the same with the 622, you do need to put it horizontally. my concern with the 633 is this little leg seems to be a bit unstable compared to the other one. It's very thin. I'm not sure it can hold the iPhone and the bulkier battery in a stable way especially if the surface is not perfectly flat and secured.
You are definitely correct. I have 4 ESR Halolock Wireless MagSafe 10k Power banks, 1 anker 622 MagSafe 5k powerbank & 3 Otterbox Wireless Power banks 5k. I gave my son two of my Otterbox Wireless power banks 5k. The Anker 622 does get extremely hot. Next month I will buy me and my son an iPhone cooler. I held a fan in back of mines while my wireless charger was charging it and that made it not even get warm. Next month I will get a battery powered iPhone fan.
I have the Benks 5000 mah battery pack, which is slim and light weight and would be used for traveling. At my home office I have the IWalk 6000 mah battery pack which has a ring on the back that can be used as a stand or to hold the phone. It also has a USB-C connection for recharging and a power button that can be used to turn it off, and use just as a stand.
I have both chargers but I use the 622 during the winter as it serves also as a hand warmer. Have you thought about this function before dismisses the 622?
Can u use wired charging while the powerbank is attached to the phone? I would prefer the wired charging but I want it attached to the phone through magsafe. Thank you!
Thanks for this video now i can decide which one I’m gonna buy even i want the slim one 622 but there’s a lot of difference when it comes to 633. Solid and nice review 💯 👌🏻. Bbrrrrrrr….!
I had the 622 I like the whole aspect of it with the stand but ended up selling it to a coworker because it would get to hot. Then I got the apple one but like u said and other videos it’s just a battery maintainer I want a charger.
Great video watching this a year after it was uploaded but if i may be slightly critical incase this has never been brought up before.. but You literally proved that the 622 can be used as just a kickstand as long as you turn it off before u connect it and it stays off. but then continues to follow your script at the end and say that it can't be used turnt off. Why was this not tested before shooting the video? Also the 622 Does absolutely support Passthrough Charging its literally the 1st question on their website of the FAQ's I just think that the amount of research done for this video was low and i really hope that on newer videos this has improved. Other than that Fantastic Video in terms of editing and quality!!!!
the thing with 3rd party iphone accessories is that even if it's made to used on the device like this magsafe powerbank, it still needs to be charged via usb-c while the phone itself uses lightning. if you went on a business trip with this you either need to bring a converter/adapter which you will lose eventually or bring a second cable. otherwise this is better alternative battery pack than the one from apple.
Dunno about the pro max but on the 12 pro, when you have the stand up on the 633, you can attach your phone in landscape while keeping the 633 in normal stand mode. It’s hard to describe but I guess when you have the phone attached it’s shaped like T with the battery pack.
@@TechnicallyTee are you going to try iOS 16 on your daily driver? It’s been super stable for me and I’m getting better battery life then iOS 15 13 hours sot with 20% left!!

When 5000mAh can't recharge the phone you can guess how much power gets lost during wireless charging
With the 633, you rotate your phone while the kickstand is up in portrait. Anker has a picture of how to use it in landscape on their website

for the Anker 633, you’re supposed to turn the whole magsafe 90 degrees and then use the stand for horizontal/landscape! it’s stable like that
does it still charge like that? :D

I just purchased mine the 622 & yes the first day I used it it did get very very warm. I’m going to return mine & possibly get the 633
The 633 is solid.

Id like to know if the anker 633 still gets really warm. I understand it doesn't get scary hot. But I'd like to know if it's an uncomfortable warm.

Thanks for the info. I love your breakdown. I definitely subscribed to your channel .😊
A few Amazon reviews says it's labeled 5000. Was it just bad branding on Anker's part?
the anker 633 should be two 5000s combined according to their website
Hi Tee which one do you use as the main one? 633 or the official apple battery pack?
Hey tee trying to get rid of a multitude of power cords in vehicles which one would you buy 633 or apple mag safe
Great review. Power, heat dissipation and USBC charging is great. What case do you have on your iphone in this video? thanks

I own a 13 mini and the 622 can charge from 0 to 100 and still has a little juice left.
does it fit on the iPhone mini nicely or does it stick out at the bottom?
Fits in perfectly
Which has stronger magnet commections to phones?
@~7:30. Just rotate the phone on the MagSafe magnet to make it horizontal not resting it on its side. Thats what I do
Hello! How does the larger one stay magnetized to the iPhone? Is it solid or does it swivel?
awesome review!

Why the 622 isn’t able to charge iPhone 13 Pro completely? iPhone 13 Pro capacity is less than the 622 one
Because wireless charging is inefficient and some charge is lost in the transfer of power
6:37 so does it do passthrough charging?...
Would u recommend benks or anker?
Which Anker, the 633 is one of the best MagSafe battery packs out there. But I'll pass on the 622 at this point.
