There has never been another century in history where daily life changed so drastically than 1900-2000. It’s hard to predict what technological advances will come in the future, but we may not have another century of such drastic growth, development and change for a long time. It’s crazy to think about. For most of human history, day to day life consisted of nothing but procreation and trying to find enough food to stay alive FOR THAT DAY. That was all a human being could aspire to. Staying alive and propagating the human race. “Self actualization”, the very top of Maslow’s period, would have been an entirely foreign concept. It wasn’t until the development of agriculture, the discovery of the scientific method, and of course, the industrial revolution, when advances in technology and improvement of quality of life really began to take off. We truly are lucky to to be alive in this current era.

like a lot of human invention it grows and grows, but in the end, it normally ends up being a similar product to what it originally started life as. In this context we started by handing a list to a store, they would fulfill the order and deliver the goods, sound familiar? Amazon and others like it are doing the exact same thing, just online, we have come full circle. It will be interesting to see what comes next.

In the future, most items will be delivered to your door. No need to walk kilometers. Supermarkets would look like a fulfillment center will lot of automation. And people will enjoy to but local and fresh products near their houses. This will help local businesses and local community. This is my vision for a bright future.
