@@fnlultm i did all that when the game was on ps2 when it came out. Trust me. I didnt use yojimbo. I didnt need to. I see him as a cop out. Anima is my favourite. I watched this video for nostalgia. I remade the entire sphere grid until it contained nothing less then max hp +300 max mp +40 and every stat sphere was replaced to +4 inluding luck and engineered the grid so every character reached 255 and no extra including luck which was a nightmare and 999 for mp and every other available slot was cleared for hp +300 giving yuna 76 000 hp on the standard sphere grid. I completed the game in its entirety before youtube existed before the internet had guides and before mobiles existed that could go online during dial up days. Id never say anything about the sinspawn found inside sin or the omega dungeons as being difficult in any way because they arent. I broke the game through my alterations to the sphere grid. The one time i had seymour join my party i realised he must have had an overdrive and it took a while but i got to see it. I bet thats common knowledge now but i loved that game so much you have no idea. So im gana say what ever i want to who ever i want.
Can you imagine that after defeating dark anima with no sphere grid and no zanmato, you dumped all of your money to zanmato penance and yojimbo just said...no?
In this scenario I'd have to imagine Yojimbo's thought process is "I'm ending this now so I don't have to stick around you a second longer than I have too"
I was on Mt. Gagazet and summoned Yojimbo. I forgot what I was fighting but once I summoned him, he automatically did Zanmato and I just sat there in surprise and was like "Well damn!"
@@jeffreyortiz6040 Unfortunately, it wasn't Seymour. But I did beat that prick easily either way. Maybe it was a yeti, can't remember. Another fun thing that happened was when I was in Bevelle and was fighting Seymour. He actually killed himself when he tried to heal himself 😆
@@jeffreyortiz6040 Good news, that happened to me. After coasting through the story up until then on my second playthrough, I remembered Seymour Flux stopping me dead on my unfinished first. So I grinded for hours… only for Yojimbo to Zabmato Seymour immediately. He then ALSO Zanmatod the final boss. Those were the only two times I summoned him. This was like 20 years ago and I still remember it.
@Jeffrey Ortiz I am laughing so hard right now. Flux was my worst enemy and kept me from getting to Zanarkand in my first ever play through. And it made me rage quit the game for a week.
When I was doing the boss rush at Remiem temple; Yojimbo’s free move on the last three aeons (Anima, Yojimbo, and Magus Sisters) was a Zanmato; three consecutive insta kill moves on bosses for FREE! For the entirety of gameplay, Yojimbo never used Daigoro; most of the time it was a coin toss between zanmato and wakizashi with a pinch of Kozuka from time to time (4-5 times at most). It was epic.
You left out the fact that by choosing option 3 when hiring Yojimbo, then paying him 750k instead of 250k, he'll join you with higher compatibility and throw in 2 Teleport Spheres.
That said, unless you skip him on your way through the first time and come back when you have the airship, or you grind a ton, you will never have that kind of money to do that on the first trip through.
@@Amainville93 doesn't really take a ton of grinding if you know what you're doing. but yeah, most people definitely didn't have that much gil the first time around. I thought his motivation was how strong his opponent is before this video. I got him to do it twice in a row against dark aeons with 100,001 paid both times. You cleared a lot of things up for me, thank you.
It's pretty bonkers that an optional aeon most people probably threw aside when they realized how much stronger and easier to use Anima or Magus Sisters were has enough buried mechanics to fill a 50-minute video and almost none of this stuff is ever shown or explained to you in-game.
It's intentional too, Yojimbo is hidden away in fear of his power due to them knowing that if Yojimbo is used, Yunalesca, Sin and even Yu Yevon would not stand a chance.
i don't know how people missed this. i was 14 and had no internet and still managed to get every single aeon and unlock every single arena creation. my only missed things in teh game was never seeing penance because i couldn't fucking kill dark yojimbo. stupid prick opens up with zanmato on me and one shots me at least 1 in 5 times..... my life has been scarred for 20 god damned years.

I guess this is what happens when the two gurus of FF10, Pbirdman and dansg8, collide. Even the pre-existing knowledge is thrown for a small loop. Very intriguing video.
The Zanmato Level 4-6 chart was SO satisfying to look at because of how the numbers increased when you follow the colums diagonally from top right to bottom left. Also that 50% at 128 compatibility directly in the middle, that's the stuff. Okay, that's enough nerding about math for the day. Great video as always.
As a programmer myself, i'm deeply pleased by the choices of powers of 2 and multiples of 4 the programmer that created the Yojimbo attacks routine made :D
always thought Yojimbo and Zanmato was cheap and yes the first time I ran into a dark aeon I used it. Interesting to see the mechanics behind it though. i always thought it would be something simple like times summoned and gil paid compared to gil you had with some RNG. Whoever designed this system was crazy
At first I didn’t think i wanted to watch this long of a video on Yojimbo, but you sir convinced me otherwise. You did such a great job man. Obviously took a ton of work. Thank you so much!
Ohhh oh my god this actually helped so much lmao. I'm not the type to really be into cheesing superbosses but I just really needed to get back into Besaid so I could progress to get Anima and Magus Sisters and Zanmato was the only really feasible way for me to do that at this point in the game
Video games are so great because people can do deep investigations into how they work, like this video does. It makes me get very invested in the games. Cool video man!
I've only used Zanmato intentionally to kill one boss in FFX and that was Dark Bahamut because I couldn't stand that fight. I fought and beat every Dark Aeon and Penance legit except for Dark Bahamut lol.
Usualy I let Yojimbo defeat the Dark Magus Sisters to gain one Ribbon and maybe even a break damage limite weapon for Kimahri or Lulu, cause I always fail to get their Celestial Weapons fully upgraded. When my gang has been through the entire Sphere Grid or close to, I like to fight Dark Yojimbo. If I stick to defeating him 3 times and then play Blitzball or use the teleporter, I can do it as many times as I want and it will, eventualy, give Ribbons for all. I think I once or twice have seen Yojimbo use Zanmato spontanously and he also did it a couple of times for a handful of Gils or so. Some of the times, when I defeat Dark Yojimbos, a non Overkill can grant max bonus like Ribbon and Break HP Limite on a 4 slot Armor. It's good to know there's always a chanse with Yojimbo. I always thought it was best to pay him, when he is cirkling his head. Like he was more motivated then, hahaha.
Min/Max-ers: *Watch 49 minute video to understand the most effective way to trigger Zanmato* Me, as a true intellectual: Haha, gil counter goes *DRRRRRRRRRR*
Yojimbo has my favorite summon animation, I was glad I had the gil when I found him. Wish I would have known this all those years ago when I was playing.
Booted up my 15 year old save yesterday after buying the remastered version of FFX on my PS5 and porting over my save through PS Plus. Jumped into Monster Arena, summoned Yojimbo. Paid him 512, got Wakizashi (all). Paid 513, got the same again. Paid 600 and got Zanmato. Cheerio Nemesis.
Can't wait to hear a breakdown on the Luck stat, cause after all these years the only thing I know about it is that it's Accuracy & Evasion 2: The Squeekquel.
Actually the funny thing is Luck is actually better than Accuracy in the post game, put it simply even if your accuracy is very low you'll always get at least 25% accuracy, that 25 is the added to your Luck and then you substract the ennemy's Luck. Also if ennemies has over 111 Evasion then your accuracy doesn't matter regardless of it's 0 or 255 it will make no differences. No ennemies has more than 130 Luck, in order to hit all ennemies you need at least 205 Luck if you reach this number then your accuracy doesn't matter and you will hit all ennemies regardless of accuracy, as an extra raising Luck 220 will guaranteed to hit all ennemies in the game even if you have the Blind statut, and 230 Luck will guaranteed Critical Hit on every ennemies in the game.
I literally have not watched the video, but on ps4 remaster, zanmato can be save scummed. Just pay 1 gil every fight, and save after. When he uses zanmato you reload last save, go fight whoever, pay the same gil amount, and done. You can take all the chance out of zanmato this way. Pretty nice if you don't want to fight whoever
@@Atlas-oh9yx wouldn't know, but I don't see why not. Zanmato is seeded, so there is actually no luck in it at all. Based on your games seed is when you will get zanmato. So saving before the zanmato literally guarantees is on reload. At least that's how it is on ps4. I doubt they changed the base mechanics of the game for switch release.
@@GordKeen interesting I joked about killing penance with my cousin yesterday and I used yojimbo and it used zanmato for 518 Gil but the previous one I used 518 for did not basically I saved after he did the kunais and it still happened huge lol moment
OMG!!! I've leved up yojimbo's compatibility to 255 and then used grand summon to full his OD gauge. I beat dark anima on my first attemp using zanmato. Hope this happens again for penance and dark magus sisters. Thank for this guide!
I was extremely underleveled by the Sin boss fight, and I really hated grinding. I ended up using zanmato to beat all bosses after the Sin boss fight. Jecht was the hardest because he had 2 phases, but I got it eventually
The battle itself is not that hard if you have a decent grid. If you want to farm. Yojimbo cave (only because is closest to farm Gils) and Omega ruins are the best places for basics. For the original game. Omega and completing the monster hunter sidequest hold the hardest bosses
@@fredyramirez3035 it took me 2 hours to beat sir jecht as a first timer on Xbox one X and I almost died so many Times and got hit by Overdrives a lot but too bad I was smart and felt decently leveled and had lots of HP.
Brilliant work! Very fascinating video and so full of depth! I would have appreciated if there was subtitles to accompany all the information. Regardless, keep those videos pumping!
Thank you for this video it looked like it was so much work to put together. It was so entertaining. Probably the most useful, detailed and accurate video I've seen on this subject. I always wondered how the probability worked with Yojimbo.
According to the chart, with 0 compatibility, it takes only 512 gil for a 25% chance of Zanmato against Aeons & Pennance. It becomes 1 in 3 if it's the first time you ever use him. Just save spam.
Hello, first time commenting! Really enjoying your videos and 24/7 live stream. I didnt really understand how complex the system is behind using Yojimbo. Thanks for looking into the background for this. Its a very interesting video! :)
I never knew about any of this when the ps3 version of ffx HD came out. I just got to Braska's final aeon phase 2, gave him all my gil and hoped for the best. And he used Zanmato. I legit cried when he did.
The fact there is "Reasonable" control over it is so strange... especially when trying to do the equivalent of this in FF7 and failing would KILL YOUR ENTIRE PARTY.
Reminds me of when I unknowingly got Setzer's death slots in VI. I was so hyped seeing a new moved then it killed everything on screen, including my party :l
So Basically the Overdrive Motivation is what make it so you have a chance to land Zanmato regardless of the rest, cause even if all the previous stuff amount to 0 that fix 20 from the Overdrive Motivation guaranteed at least 6,25% chance of getting Zanmato. I think to balance this out they should have made the ZL multiplier intervene after the added Overdrive Motivation, and they should have made the penalty on ZL more important like let say for instance ZL5 would multiply by 0.2 instead of 0.4 in your exemple and make Overdrive Motivation occur before the ZL multiplier that would give : Overdrive Motivation = 48 + 20 = 68 ZL Motivation = 68 * 0.2 = 14 0% chance to get Zanmato with 1024 gils, which I think considering you are facing a Superboss is fair you shouldn't get a One-Hit KO move for a mere 1024 gils. With these numbers and rework formula at 128 compatibility and Full Overdrive you would need at least 32760 gils which would then give : Gil Motivation = 56 56 + (128/10) = 68 68 + 20 = 88 88 x 0.2 = 17 For a 1,5625% to work on a Dark Aeon. For more exemple with max out compatibility and full overdrive you would need at very least 4096 gils for a 1.5625% of Zanmato (and for the LOL maxing Gil Motivation at 112 would result in a 23,4375% chance), which considering they are superbosses seems more fair to them. So if Pbirdman want to rework Zanmato here are my suggestions (if it's doable of course) XD.
I have only been able to perform Zamato twice, and that was while farming for spheres to complete the sphere grid. So I defeated every dark aeon and penance all without using Yojimbo, which is so satisfying.
As always these videos are very interesting. I'm one of those people who does like to use Zanmato against the Dark Aeons and Penance if I can't be bothered to fight them (barring the Dark Yojimbo fights) although I always create a separate save file so I can deal with them legitimately (which I have done, or hell if I want to defeat them more than once). Interestingly, about a month ago I was using Yojimbo just for fun and in one gameplay setting he used a free Zanmato 3 times (the first two were almost consecutive)!
I just pay him 128 gil most of the time, when fighting mobs. On this particular run that I'm on right now, he's never done a Daigoro, used to do a few Kozukas here and then, now mostly does only Wakizashi all and regular Zanmatos on mobs. Needed to take out Dark Valefor for the Jecht sphere, did a Zanmato in a few tries for perhaps 10k and Zanmato'd the Magus Sisters for 200k just for fun. Also, I'm pretty sure I picked option 2 not 3. As complicated as the formula is, you really don't need to bother with it, just pay him regular, small amounts of money until he starts to Wakizashi regularly and that means you're on the right track. On a side note - Yuna's Celestial weapon, once fully upgraded, allows Yojimbo to break damage limit, so his Wakizashi won't be capped at 10k damage anymore.
I feel like a very quick overview of what the three options do would have been nice considering it's not that hard to explain, even without going into the math. Basically : Option 1 makes it so that you have to give more than 50% of your current gil to get good results and even then it's still worse against the high level fights than lvl 3 so it's just a terrible choice overall. Option 2 is the neutral one Option 3 is what makes it so that the zanmato level are grouped like that. In reality there are different odds for all three zanmato levels but option 3 group them in two groups and give you better odds (of zanmato only, not other moves) on every single zanmato level except lvl 1 where you get a bit of a debuff. So choose option 3 if you want to use yojimbo to defeat strong ennemies with zanmato and choose option 2 if you want to use it as a more casual fighting summon. And option 1 is if you want to throw all you gil on one random trash mob and maximize your zanmato odds for some reasons lma, so yeah don't chose option 1 it's almost purely detrimental.
I didn't know any of this apart from: always pay him; never dismiss him without fighting; try not to get him killed. I generally pay him 500-1000 gill (and I get the impression he doesn't appreciate fighting against weak enemies...). I always negotiate him down to 192 000. Luckily, I always choose option 3. Generally we are on good terms: rarely Diagoro, sometimes Kozuka but usually Wakazashi, and I learned today about the difference between 1 and 3! It can be annoying when he uses Zanmato to eliminate an enemy I wanted him to soften up for capture! Fantastic in-depth video on a really cool character in a truly in-depth game.
I was dumbfounded when I learned the complexities of it...in my game I just waited for his overdrive to be full and pay him 1 Gil AND HE DID ZANMATO EVERY TIME (bar once)
Great explanation, and you can see why when considering putting this as a tutorial in game the devs went "Nah.". Thank you for the FFX vids, helped my playthrough massively.
This is an excellent video, thanks. I'd still rather have compatibility maxed at 255 if I'm not rushing to completion. In my world, 10% is a huge amount. Admittedly, the cost of failure is having to reset, so stakes are low regardless... I just hate resetting.
I had a FFX play through with around 198 hours back in the day... I used to use all the aeons but once I found Yojimbo I messed around quite a bit with his attacks and Gil amounts. After a while, probably because I was using him so much in the end - he used to just automatically open with Wakizashi or Zanmato. Or do them when I'd offer 1 Gil. So I don't know if there is some sort of friendship/bond stat that takes into effect, or maybe all the money you give him over time is remembered and is incremented? Seemed like every time I was summoning him he was killing everything without me doing much.
I only used Zanmato to purposely cheese a boss twice, once with Dark Anima and once with Penance. I got his affection up to max and paid him 8 million gil for each (since I had like 17-18 million gil by this stage)
gonna be honest, i clicked this because i recognized yojimbo from ffxiv. Wasn't expecting this at all. Great video though, i love technical stuff like this
Me: I chose the 3rd option. Pay you well and often, and I'm 150 hours into this game. Can I get a Zanmato so we can wrap this up? My Yoji: Best I can do is Wakizashi
1. Obtain him. 2. Farm about 5 zanmatos off the first dark yojimbo while saving and loading to reset. 3. Pay 65536 4. Get Zanmato against lvl 5/6 resistance enemies 50+% of the time which is plenty enough for reloading to not be a hassle.
The better question is why is 255 such a prevalent # in video games. For example in Sniper Elite 4 the max level you can obtain if you have many years of grinding in you is 255. There are other examples, but this is one that comes to mind. Same as Jumbo or Jimbo or whatever his name is being on a compatibility scale of 0-255. I may need to whip out my old PS3 (I know FFX is a PS2 game) and play FFX again. It used to be one of my favorite games and I have probably played it thru 5-6 times if not more. I once invested over 200 hours in a single game to complete everything. Good video.
When I played this game as a child, I did not want to grind my sphere grid to take on the superbosses, so instead I sifted through what may well have been the same ancient gamefaqs posts about the Zanmato formula. I then created an excel spreadsheet that would calculate the Zanmato chances under any given set of circumstances. I wish I still had it, so I could check how accurate what I made back then with my child brain and limited sources of accurate information about the internal workings of the game truly was.

Yojimbo is pay to win but thank God it just uses in game currency that CANNOT be obtained by credit card
You say that now but Square makes their mobile ports worse somehow

Same. Worse is that he never did a Zanmato for me. What a gyp. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me as a kid: pays Yojimbo 1 Gil expecting him to do daigoro
Yojimbo does Zanmato.
Me: oh shit
I paid him like 10,000 and he zamatoed a dark aeon
There is something satisfying about watching him pay 1 gil and getting zanmato on an adamantoise
An adamantoise is a 1 shot enemy without yojimbo. You scrub.
@@Darkstar..... that’s the irony of the situation, and the premise behind the comment. You scrub.
The thing is, yato does the slashing cheaper. Only at 10 yen. And its consisntent
@@Darkstar..... lmaoooo, telling some guy that has beaten every dark aeon, nemesis, and penance legit that an adamantoise is already a one shot. The point is that he paid one gil. In order to get him to do that, you have to do a little bit of work with him.
😅😅😅
In this scenario I'd have to imagine Yojimbo's thought process is "I'm ending this now so I don't have to stick around you a second longer than I have too"
Id close app. Heartbeat.
"hmm, yes, doggo can take care of this for me"
I was on Mt. Gagazet and summoned Yojimbo. I forgot what I was fighting but once I summoned him, he automatically did Zanmato and I just sat there in surprise and was like "Well damn!"
Was it Seymour Flux? If so man that's luck i hate that fucking boss 🤣 be nice to know he got mato'd
I picked up all summoning 1st play through.
Waste of gil
That said, unless you skip him on your way through the first time and come back when you have the airship, or you grind a ton, you will never have that kind of money to do that on the first trip through.
@@Amainville93 doesn't really take a ton of grinding if you know what you're doing. but yeah, most people definitely didn't have that much gil the first time around.
That said, someone probably could gil farm to hit 9 digits of gil by then if they really tried. it's just difficult to do cause you easily need stuff that's near impossible to get at that point in the game.
you can grind the mobs right out side yojimbos cave where you pick up the rusty great sword to get tons of gil and it doesnt even take that long to do you just sell all the drops you get.@@Amainville93

I thought his motivation was how strong his opponent is before this video. I got him to do it twice in a row against dark aeons with 100,001 paid both times. You cleared a lot of things up for me, thank you.
Yojimbo dies: annoyed
Yojimbo doesn't get paid: P I S S E D

So THIS is the reason Bevelle outlawed machina, ay? They were afraid of ADVANCED MATH.
I love a good chart as well. There's something to be said about the art of data and the ways it can be represented.
I see dansg08 and FFX, I click and like faster than I can read the rest of the title.
Holy shit, is this why Zanmato almost never happened in my games? I had no idea those answers mattered, I probably picked #1!
As a programmer myself, i'm deeply pleased by the choices of powers of 2 and multiples of 4 the programmer that created the Yojimbo attacks routine made :D
Holy Yevon, I didn't know the zanmato mechanic was THIS complex and deep!
these in-depth value videos are really interesting to me, great video!
always thought Yojimbo and Zanmato was cheap and yes the first time I ran into a dark aeon I used it. Interesting to see the mechanics behind it though. i always thought it would be something simple like times summoned and gil paid compared to gil you had with some RNG. Whoever designed this system was crazy
A friend of mine got zanmato on the final boss during his first play through. He didn't understand how Yojimbo worked.
He was so confused hahaha
I got zanmato on my 1st playthrough of the ps3 version on the final boss! I was in TEARS!
The final boss is weaker than braska's final eon
At first I didn’t think i wanted to watch this long of a video on Yojimbo, but you sir convinced me otherwise. You did such a great job man. Obviously took a ton of work. Thank you so much!
People who don’t play video games: “Video games aren’t that deep!”
Dansg08 & Pbirdman: “Hold our drinks”
I love how both people are still making videos about this game. And that it takes nearly an hour to explain how just one attack works lmao.
I LOVE FFX AND I LOVE THIS CHANNEL
Ohhh oh my god this actually helped so much lmao. I'm not the type to really be into cheesing superbosses but I just really needed to get back into Besaid so I could progress to get Anima and Magus Sisters and Zanmato was the only really feasible way for me to do that at this point in the game
Video games are so great because people can do deep investigations into how they work, like this video does. It makes me get very invested in the games. Cool video man!
Wow, I think my Yojimbo just really liked me then, he’d Zanmato for 1000 Gil on a pretty regular basis.
I've only used Zanmato intentionally to kill one boss in FFX and that was Dark Bahamut because I couldn't stand that fight. I fought and beat every Dark Aeon and Penance legit except for Dark Bahamut lol.
That's because getting the 28k HP it takes to survive his attack is an absolute, ABSOLUTE, mick take!
I’m not good with math at all but I love FFX so much and the research that went into this made all 49 minutes beyond fascinating!
Min/Max-ers: *Watch 49 minute video to understand the most effective way to trigger Zanmato*
Me, as a true intellectual: Haha, gil counter goes *DRRRRRRRRRR*
I’m watching this videos months later, and still it’s helpful.
"But that's before factoring in the zanmato resistance value of the enemy..." the people who programmed this game are maniacs and I love them for it
Yojimbo has my favorite summon animation, I was glad I had the gil when I found him.
Thanks Berk. I was thinking of playing ff10 again and your videos will be a huge help.
I encountered ixion in the X remake. Yojimbo summoned himself and just nailed Ixion on both encounters. It blew my mind
Does this work in FFx remastered on switch

I’ve already seen this video but I just love hearing you nerd out about Yojimbo/Zanmato and FFX as a whole ☺️
Thank you for this video it looked like it was so much work to put together. It was so entertaining. Probably the most useful, detailed and accurate video I've seen on this subject. I always wondered how the probability worked with Yojimbo.
I never knew any of this, and my Yojimbo still did 5 x Zanmatos in a row when i fought Dark Yojimbo :)
OKAY THIS IS THE COOLEST FFX VIDEO I'VE EVER SEEN!
According to the chart, with 0 compatibility, it takes only 512 gil for a 25% chance of Zanmato against Aeons & Pennance. It becomes 1 in 3 if it's the first time you ever use him.
Just save spam.
I can't get over yojimbo having a Motivation stat.

Hello, first time commenting! Really enjoying your videos and 24/7 live stream. I didnt really understand how complex the system is behind using Yojimbo. Thanks for looking into the background for this. Its a very interesting video! :)
FFX’s “WIN” Button.
amazing video. so much research and dedication to explaining the mechanics in a straightforward way
I never knew about any of this when the ps3 version of ffx HD came out.
I was so hyped seeing a new moved then it killed everything on screen, including my party :l
i mean, if youre trying to zanmato a boss and miss, your whole party just dies anyways.
Here to say thank you Dan!

Excellent explanation of the mechanics! Thank you so much for the informative video.
thank you for the info, i was able to zanmato phase 2 jecht with this instead of wasting 5 hours overleveling some more
Bro a near hour analysis video on Zanmato in X. It's sad how excited I was to watch this
Love for these great games is NEVER sad.
So Basically the Overdrive Motivation is what make it so you have a chance to land Zanmato regardless of the rest, cause even if all the previous stuff amount to 0 that fix 20 from the Overdrive Motivation guaranteed at least 6,25% chance of getting Zanmato.
I think to balance this out they should have made the ZL multiplier intervene after the added Overdrive Motivation, and they should have made the penalty on ZL more important like let say for instance ZL5 would multiply by 0.2 instead of 0.4 in your exemple and make Overdrive Motivation occur before the ZL multiplier that would give :
Overdrive Motivation = 48 + 20 = 68
ZL Motivation = 68 * 0.2 = 14
0% chance to get Zanmato with 1024 gils, which I think considering you are facing a Superboss is fair you shouldn't get a One-Hit KO move for a mere 1024 gils. With these numbers and rework formula at 128 compatibility and Full Overdrive you would need at least 32760 gils which would then give :
Gil Motivation = 56
56 + (128/10) = 68
68 + 20 = 88
88 x 0.2 = 17
For a 1,5625% to work on a Dark Aeon.
Interestingly, about a month ago I was using Yojimbo just for fun and in one gameplay setting he used a free Zanmato 3 times (the first two were almost consecutive)!
this was surely some fascinating info. excelsior to you sir!
It's Auron, not Yuna. Yuna affects Valefor.
I feel like a very quick overview of what the three options do would have been nice considering it's not that hard to explain, even without going into the math. Basically :
Option 1 makes it so that you have to give more than 50% of your current gil to get good results and even then it's still worse against the high level fights than lvl 3 so it's just a terrible choice overall.
Option 2 is the neutral one
Option 3 is what makes it so that the zanmato level are grouped like that.
The battle music against Yojimbo in FFX-2 is so badass
Didn't realize there was this much involved for Yojimbo I've never had this many issue that's awesome
RIP to my attempted 100% save where I found out my choice actually mattered in the Yojimbo dialogue after the fact
I had to use Zanmato to kill Dark Bahamut and get to Tidus's celestial weapon item that I forgot. That was kind of a mean place to put that jerk.
This is an excellent video, thanks.
I'd still rather have compatibility maxed at 255 if I'm not rushing to completion. In my world, 10% is a huge amount. Admittedly, the cost of failure is having to reset, so stakes are low regardless... I just hate resetting.
Wait a min i didnt sign up for a math class i just wanna play FFX...😆
Putting out so much content! Amazing stuff
Yojimbo only from Calm Lands might be a challenge I look into in the future. Seeing him nod has got this awesome "got you fam" vibe to it.
Great video though, i love technical stuff like this
Thank you absolutely so much! This helps me a million for so many reasons!
3. Pay 65536
4. Get Zanmato against lvl 5/6 resistance enemies 50+% of the time which is plenty enough for reloading to not be a hassle.
Doesn't Gilgamesh in ff8 have a instant kill move as well? I think it's called zanketsun or something like that.
Zantetsuken ^_^
@@radeesfury827 And Sora can use this move
