Hello Sarah, your face looks so Rosy and healthy. You are in my prayers. Yes eat drink and be Merry always. I smiled when you said Kosher, I’m from New York originally and half Jewish so I forgot that there were also Jewish people in Canada😊 You have officially got me hooked on the babysitters club series. I finished the first one and I was really impressed with the maturity and the 80s vibe. Sending you healing aloha from Hawaii.
We just had a family friend pass today and his organs will help three people this evening. I am so sorry you haven't been well, but thrilled that you are feeling better and making video plans. HUGS friend.
I’ve been away from TH-cam for the last little while and only just got caught up with your videos, Sarah. I’m thrilled you’re now post-transplant and recovering nicely. So happy to see you again!
Wish I could give you a huge (but gentle) hug lovely lady ❤ you are incredible! Don’t apologise for the emotion, keep being you, an amazing inspiration and a fabulous human bean ❤ lots of love xxx
Happy Anniversary ! Yes, nurses are awesome. I owe many nurses my deepest gratitude for how well they comforted me during some difficult and scary times. You look great and I am so happy you’re doing so well. Oh, those books are beautiful!
We love you. You have every right to be emotional. I have chronic health issues and but none life threatening. Oh I forgot. I read the Christmas Corpse. I enjoyed it. My husband is a professional Santa and I’m his Mrs. Hugs. I’m going to Stitch North in April. I hope we can get together for coffee or tea.
As someone who's been on blood thinners since their early 20's, and will be on for life, it isn't so bad once swapped over to oral. Lovnox shots are not fun. Hopefully, it helps! I'm glad they caught it early. My first was not caught until I ended up in emergency and then a lengthy hospital stay. I am glad you're home again, hopefully for good, and I hope the medication changes help.
Yes, ma’am….sign the donor card. I have a brother-in-law in Florida who got a new heart in January of this year. It was a little rough for him the first few months but now he’s doing well. Thanks for the update. I will keep you in my prayers.🙏🏻❤️
So glad you are feeling better and that they have adjusted your meds. Please do not apologise for tears, you have been through a lot and your are still dealing with a lot. Maybe ask the next Dr who does the biopsy to chat with you during the procedure, also if he presses too hard on your neck then tell him. The Dr's need to be told these things, not just for you but others as well. Hope the audio book improves. What a delightful pressie. Have been on the donor list since I was in my 20s.
You are doing so great Sarah. One month! Congratulations! You go right ahead and be emotional! We're all emotional right along with you. I'm so glad that they've gotten the nausea issue under control and that you are starting to feel better. Thank you for this update. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Hey Sarah! So great seeing your face and the book in your hand! Pleased you got on top of the nausea and I hope everything is onwards and upwards from now on. If I could just add, as an ex ICU nurse, something re filling out your card or whatever to be a donor. Please also *talk to and tell your family your desire to be an organ donor*. I dont know how it works in Canada but in Australia, family will always be asked permission even if there is a donor card/permission on file and if they haven't specifically spoken with their loved one about their donor wishes (even if there's a card/permission somewhere ) they will, more often than not, decline permission. Not because they're terrible people but because all they're trying to do in that horrible situation is what their loved one would want them to do and if they haven't talked about it directly they often feel they don't really know those wishes... And so many people don't realise that. Because, the thing is, that family is already pretty traumatised, so the medial team aren't going to traumatise them any further by going against their wishes at what is the very worst time in their life. So please please, talk to your people about your wishes to be an organ donor so god forbid, should that time come, everyone knows what you want. Take care lovely lady and happy reading xxx
You are just simply amazing! I hope I carry part of you with me always. I have NASH a form of cirrhosis, it’s caused so much trouble, a 100 things. If I can be like you just a little, I know I can make It. Fractured hips, hip replacement, 6 fractured vertebrae , some glued together, some not. Merry go round of MRIs, Endoscopies, colonoscopies and so on. A pill for this, aspirin to stop blood clots, ulcers from aspirin. I bled out twice and STOP. You have gone through so much. Tomorrow I’m going to wake up and walk no matter what. I’m sorry you had to go through this but you have taught me so much. We are hyper and want it to happen right now. Let’s slow down and see how February works. Read, relax and I’m praying so much for you. I’m not afraid, they gave me3-5 years and I’m in my 12th year. kidneys are holing up🌺🌸🌺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I believe in you
I'm glad that you are feeling better. Nurses are the best. I saw some of my nurses from my orthopedic team when I went into physical therapy this morning. They were so sweet to me when they heard how severe my pain was. They told me if I needed them to call my doctor they would do that for me. My nurses on my congenital heart clinic are amazing. They are family to me since I've known them for my entire life.
You are such an inspiration. You put ordinary life complaints in perspective for sure. You've been constantly in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. So glad they figured out the nausea issue, that had to be awful! Hopefully you have some kitty nurses with good bedside manners to ease your recuperation! Love the Australian book covers and that bag! They look vintage-ish.I had no idea that Australia and New Zealand had their own lines. Super cool. oh -- and Happy 1 month anniversary!
You are looking so healthy! Your skin color is coming back. I am excited for you. Praying for you. Also I love the book you got as a present. The cover is beautiful.
Where I live (Paris), everyone is registered as an organ donor by default and you only notify them if you want out, which I think is terrific. The Delores Fossen is on my TBR (Kindle, not audio), wondering if I should bother now 😂
You’ve been going through it my friend it’s totally okay to have these emotions we are all here with you my eyes weren’t dry either! I’m happy things are improving for you hoping for the very best and some quiet reading weeks for you to come
Oh Sarah, you are such a strong lady. You’ve been through so much in the last few years and just a fraction of what you’ve tackled would have broken a lot of people. But you’re still fighting and determined to live a full life. I’m so honoured to know you, even if it’s just through a screen. And don’t apologise for your emotions- remember a couple of months after I got my first premmie home and all the health visits and appts had calmed down a bit, it was in that quieter time that the weight of what we had been through hit me, and the shear gratitude that my baby had fought and lived. I was an emotional mess for a bit and that’s so out of character for me. It’s just part of the process I think. Take care my lovely, wishing you healing xx
You don't ever need to be sorry for being emotional. You have a reason to be and you are showing how amazing it is to be a donor. And seeing you get through this journey has been amazing. I wish I could give you a big hug because you are so amazing. I'm glad to see a new video from you and I hope you have a good weekend.
Please don't apologize for being emotional! You have every right to be emotional. I, for one, am being emotional right with you. Health wise, I wish I could be a donor. I have several friends & family members who are transplant recipients. Kidneys, liver, and double lung. I am so thankful that theirs & yours have all gone so well. Thoughts & prayers for your continued healing. ♥️🙏
Try Amazon Australia to see if you can order them and how much it would be. I have ordered from Amazon UK and Amazon Ca without issues I’m in the US. Just a thought.
That Outback Nurse cover is amazing! I hope you can get other book from the series, they all look stunning! It got me thinking, and I am sorry if that is not the question to put here in comments, but is there any way one could send you a postcard for Christmas? A PO box or something like that? If you're comfortable with it, of course. You really enjoyed postcards in your other video, and I would love to send you one, if you're OK with it. And happy Anniversary!
All 4 of those books are available on Amazon Australia. I'm from Australia and have bought from the US Amazon in the past. Will it let you ship from AU to Canada? Sometimes it won't allow shipping of certain items because of licensing issues. If not, I could buy them and ship them out to you.
@@thebookishknitter Sounds good. I was thinking since you don't know me, I would send the books and have you pay for them after you've received them. I trust you, and don't mind doing it that way if you don't find the books elsewhere.
Sarah you look healthy and amazing. ❤ The biopsies sound horrible 😢 I know it's necessary but dang can they not give you a Xanax or something to take when your on the way to the procedure? That would really help the anxious anxiety. I am a donor always have been. 😊 I will continue to keep you in my prayers for healing mind and body. You are such a courageous woman my friend. ((Hugs))
Oh Sarah! Never apologize for whatever you are feeling. Please be gentle with yourself and know that you are so loved even by those of us who only watch you on TH-cam!❤❤
Sarah, you are amazing! And happy heart anniversary. ❤️🙂. Glad you got the med fixed. And I will be the old mother hen here, don’t ever be afraid to call and find out what that team suggests. That is why it’s a team. No matter how small. And what a beautiful gift from your author friend. Hope you can get the rest of the books😊❤❤❤
Appreciate the health update Sarah. You're doing fabulous. I'm reading Autumn Spice on Sunflower Street. Third in the Sunflower Street series which you started in 2021 , I'm enjoy these.

@thebookishknitter yes you do, and everything I went in to have my drains looked at as well as my incision I had an audience. I was so glad when they came out 8 weeks later. But one of the student doctors got sick ehrn they were removed, he just cold not fathom how 8 feet of tubing came out on each side. Plus he hated the fact that it was done without any pain meds. It really did not hurt , it just felt odd.
