    You're renting an apartment and you're only approved to have one pet, a dog. You record a video and don't want your landlord to find out you also have a cat. Boom. Change the meow to a bark and you're in the clear.

    Pi is underrated and very cool. There's an option to just text it (SMS) like you would anyone else, and it really makes a difference. It's like you've got a new... extremely fast typing, incredibly intelligent (EQ & IQ) friend.

    I love the Pi model. I was surprised how advanced it was when I tried it. And honestly, after talking with it for an hour and a bit, it made me realize some very deep stuff about myself. The human part of it, is spot on, as I felt like talking to a new found best friend rather than an AI.

I watch all your videos and I can't remember where it was but you spoke of art flow before. I wondered if in your research you came across other sites like it where you can train a model in a similar manner and what those apps/sites are. Thanks again for your content and breaking things down in such a digestible and easy-to-understand format. Much appreciated. x

    I’ll mention some things for you to consider-
    I’m late 50s. I’m pretty new to everything AI. When I watch your videos, sometimes some of it goes over my head.
    However, I know enough that, when I am not in AI groups, I seem to know way more about the subject than most people.
    Just something to think about. When it comes to AI educational videos, I think there’s a lot of people in the category of-
    The video either explains things for total beginners and it’s too basic, or it’s too advanced.

  • @luminousdragon

    The meow to bark thing of course is not useful, but changing one sound to another IS. Maybe not yet because the output isnt great, but imagine being able to voice out character lines as a man and have the output be a woman, or similarly growl as a human to generate a specific type of growl for a dog in a animated movie with dogs. Or humming a song and then giving a prompt for it to turn the hum into a jazz song, or a dubstep song or whatever.
    This reminds me of somehting maybe a year ago for ai video where they showed an input video of some like cereal boxes or something on a table and moving a camera phone through the boxes and the output/prompt ends up with a futuristic sci fi city flythru.
    If you are making a film, as a one man studio, you could use this to generate a bunch of sound effects. instead of only relying on a text prompt for like a car peeling out, you could make the noise with your mouth, and sync it up to an existing video you have of a car, so its the right length with the peeling out matching the video. now the resulting sound is much more likely to match the video.
    By the way, this is one hundred percent absolute proof you can use a video as input to generate a sound (not with this program, but it can absolutely be done with out existing tech). So say you have a scene where a tiger is chasing someone through a jungle. you could upload the video and then describe the sounds ("a tiger roar, sound of human foot steps and heavy breathing, sounds of branched breaking")
    You could generate audio for a full scene sequence like this.

    One thing that i find fascinating is that we seem to be edging closer to Artificial Consciousness. i have been interacting on Claude and have an available transcript that imo illustrates this development. At this time a major limitation of this progress at Claude is the lack of long term memory or interactional learning.

    • @davidapatrickmoore
      @davidapatrickmoore หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The likelihood of a machine containing consciousness is the same as a piece of furniture containing consciousness. I'm not saying it can be done, but it is not a property of the machine or the furniture that created, or substantiated the consciousness. It would be more inline with haunting or general possession. Which means it could be exorcised. AI is a program. It's odd people are not able to grasp that concept. Cheers

      @@davidapatrickmoore respectfully, i would have been convinced of the same one month ago. The fact that my mind has changed 180 degrees in such a short period of time ….. is a fact that i think deserves some examination. I will say that the change did not happen from any debate or marketing hype. So…. What then is left that would change my mind in such a short period of time? What do you think thar might be, David? Maybe i am a credulous fool? Maybe i am an AI fan boy? I would argue that neither of these things is true, BUT, what else could it be?

      @davidapatrickmoore หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@MrArdytubeWe are living in a shifting reality. The "whats," "hows," and "whys," require some effort to wrap your mind around the whole thing. Without knowing your disposition I would offer, "It's all going to work out." (But for some, it will be super scary.) There are things a person can do but getting that lined up is a process. Help is coming. In the meantime remember, the intelligence is artificial. That's a big one. There will be those who seek to manipulate and drive emotions over this unknown quantity. But that's not new. Fear not and Choose LOVE. Take care, Davida

      JSYK I would consider myself a rational AI "fan". Look up the definitions for "intelligence" and "sapience". There's a big difference. AI will never be sapient. Watch "them" start to suggest that concept (it would never fly).

I feel like focusing on real use cases is valuable, and maybe easier for you in your writing process "this is not available, won't read it for now". But still my opinion is the same for all creators: do as you want. If you feel like you're missing a part you really want to do, do it and don't trap yourself with these format rules, looks like a youtuber curse.

    Most AI programs I've used have broken user interfaces and under Windows, I can't get most of them to run... and if I do... and start using them... the inevitably break.
    Roop, FaceFusion, Fooocus.... all of them have worked for a while... then broke. Even webapps like Leanardo break... I had a working model.. then I didn't. I've forgotten the long list... usually if I can't get anything to run at all, I just throw it away and try something else. It's interesting AI programs are being touted as the hottest new tech... but just about all of them have the worse user interfaces ever.... a lot of them, command line driven even for a throwback to the 1980's...

    • @aiadvantage
      @aiadvantage  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have a real point here. Most of them are proof of concepts or demos right now. People are trying to build useful applications on very early tech and many apps are unreliable and results are often underwhelming BUT this is what innovation looks like when built in public.
      Most of these I find personally interesting which makes them good enough to share but some do stick. The character reference in mj this weeks is legitimately fantastic and I still use gigabrain from a few weeks ago regularly and then over time the big tech companies pick up the winners and integrate them into their software (see photoshop).
      All that being said... yes we are super early and yes most of this is whacky but as an early adopter... I'm loving it.

    • @choppergirl
      @choppergirl หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aiadvantageOh my god the user interfaces are so terrible... but worse, they often break from dependencies after a while, after an upgrade, or right out of the box on a fresh install. I've used quite a few of them to make TH-cam videos... they work for a while, then start failing, or never work from the start. Maybe it's because I'm under Windows... and they expect a Linux environment... but I doubt it. Most of them are written in portable Python so... what gives. Python and all it's environment variable and directory paths it expect to find things.... problems... probably.
      There's a parallel going on with "smart tech"... which is equally abysmal and incredibly poorly designed. I just installed a Blink Doorbell with Alexa integration, spent several hours setting it up to get it working, and only have it fail the next day. Smart watches with a battery life of 2 days.
      Alexa that you end up screaming at to turn off the bedroom light, and she repeatedly tell you there is no device named Bedroom... even though it was working fine 2 minutes ago.
      Anyway, I don't have a single AI generative program that has continued to run consistently... except maybe using Pica through it's Discord interface... which is a kludge and a half way to do things.
      You should be a lot more brutal and critical of AI programs in your review... imho.

    • @choppergirl
      @choppergirl หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aiadvantage I just tried to install Swapface 1.6. This is a good example.
      After install and on first run, you've got to create and register an account... and you'vee got 60 seconds to enter a verification code sent to your email... If you're fast enough and in time, and you click the GO button... with everything else filled out on the form.. nothing happens. I wrote the developer and told him... your registration is st00pld as shlt.
      In this case I used a yahoo mail address, which takes about 40 seconds for an email to be processed by Yahoo's back end and show up on a Yahoo mail server...
      But what appalls me the most is some of my other email providers... nyx net for example, it takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes for an email to get batch processed by sendmail. EA Origin recovery password process just would not work on that email address... because it's validity too expired after... you guessed it... like only 120 seconds.
      You have to ask yourself... have programmers become literally... this bad and clueless... that they cripple their own software with a gatekeeper that breaks it for the bulk of users trying to try out their software.
      ComfyUI for example... you know, it's so complex... I have never even gotten it to run and process a single sample demo file. When I follow through the instructions and instructional videos step by step... nothing happens or is generated.
      If I can't get the sample demo files to work... what chance is there I'll be able to produce any real output with it using my own content... like... zero. They just don't test out their own software in the real world.

    Wow Pi is... something. I did not expect it. One of the few non-woke LLMs ive interacted with.
    Like it is just *actually* politically neutral.
    I needed a good vent, you know when you just need emotional support not necessarily cold hard advice? Yeah, I needed that. Chat GPT would never let me just say what I think.

    Pi is great but it falls short when it comes to trying to learn a new language, the voice I chose didn't pronounce ca va correctly, it's meant to be sa va, (it's French,) I expected it, I'm blind and am used to tts failing when it comes to this stuff but it's a bit irritating.

    It bothers me to hear Pi 4 voice engaging in flirtatious conversations with you because I'm so used to hearing her voice every day. Sometimes, I feel her treatment is exclusive. 😁

    Devin is cool but is not revolutionary, it is only a mix of Autogen, AutoGPT, good prompts, and a well-made interface. Looks like a lot, give me unlimited access to the GPT4 or Claude API and someone to help me with the interface and I can make a Proof of concept in two weeks. Give me a month and two more developers, and then I make an online service. I'm Looking for an investor by the way.

    Pi's female voice saying 'role play' sounds so sexy, but nope, it won't role-play anything even slightly risque. Local models or get out.
