Actually, the trails and chao are pretty necessary. They multiply the XP and rings you collect, making it faster to level up.
Some trails do very well in races too.

Dumb idea for a skit: (everyone has a problem like rays glass eating problem or tail's DeviantArt problem) tails and cream and tailsko have an intervention with vanilla (creams mom) about her call of duty addiction and how much she screams and rage quits at the middle of night. Just a dumb idea, but hilarious, for a 35 year old rabbit getting into an intervention about a video game problem by her own 8 year old daughter and her friend along side a gender swaped version of that said friend. I would be dumbfounded if this becomes a reality, but I know it won't happen, so, there's just an idea.
