the saddest moment for me about reichenbach was when Sherlock is holding out his hand on the rooftop.he wants;he tries to touch John one last time before he goes.even tough he's on a roof,he's so desperate,he can't help, but reach out for his other half.almost like a child on their first day in school, they don't want to go,they hold out a hand, waiting for someone to take it and help. THAT was the moment when i started sobbing, and couldn't stop it.
I cried when Sherlock asked "What life? I've been away." Like he had been through literal hell trying to save the people he loves. It's such a flippant, almost comic remark but also the most honest Sherlock will ever be. What life indeed. It's that subtle heartbreaking realisation, that John Watson- the only man who believed in him when everyone else didn't, the only man who was amazed by his gift, the only man Sherlock had bared his heart to- had quite simply moved on.
This is honestly the most powerful video I have ever seen. The creator perfectly tied in the highs and lows of the musical piece to the clips to show just how brutal and wonderful, happy, and deep John and Sherlock’s connection is. This video just showed the raw honesty in their love affair. It shows that their story really is a ballad of love and loss, pain and regret, and so many more emotions that the composition manage to exemplify. I can honestly say that from a professional director’s standpoint, this is by far the most well composed fan video of John and Sherlock I have ever seen. I’m shaking in my seat thinking, “how did I not think of this?” It is truly incredible.
WayfaringMary This is a highly appreciated comment! I love knowing that I've been able to evoke such emotion and appreciation of this relationship as there really is so much depth to it. Thank you again, I wish you the best :)
This is a stunning display of point, counterpoint, correlation of events and reactions and, most of all, suppression. They're so **British**...and you highlight that suppressed emotional tightness as well as the amazingly nuanced and textured acting that gives those moments depth, that lets us see the thoughts behind their attempts at NOT feeling and NOT sharing and NOT burdening one another...whilst they burden one another all the more. I don't watch many music videos anymore, and a friend pointed me here and I'm SO glad I watched. You've summed up these two men and their stoppered feelings for one another as well in 3 1/2 minutes as the show has in 3 seasons. Well done.
Wow, this is very very kind of you to say and it means a lot to know I've been able to capture and create such a response! I very much appreciate it, thank you again. :)
It is beautiful. It keeps building on to some emotion, winding up the tension, It tells a story without any words and that's not easy. It really feels like a work of art. Just what the show itself is in my mind.
This was very sweet. Very sweet. I heard S4 may be devastating. Bring it on Moffat. If you can make me cry over an episode of Sherlock, you succeed at life.
It's so very them and adorable and perfect and heartbreakingly emotionally perfect and and and ...*dies on floor* What was the music in the background? I can't seem to shazam it :)
Thank you, I hope you're okay there on the floor. :) and it's Elevator Song by Keaton Henson in his new album 'Romantic Works'. One of my favourite albums.
This video is so incredibly awesome I can't even find the right words. Honestly, I wish it would go on forever but at the same time I wish it would just stop. Like my heart stopped for almost 4 minutes. Excuse me now, please. I have to punch some onion cutting ninjas, right after I watched this video three more times.
"Please mind the door. Doors closing." and everything goes dark. I CAN'T Q_____Q Okay, shh, it's gonna be okay, we've got the 4th season right in front of us, (and there will be more heartbreaking fanvideos and that's what I live for) There you go, wonderful fanvideo, good job!
nothing....nothing will hurt as much as this...thank you so much for making this video it is perfect in the most heartbreaking ways possible + keaton henson is perfect for all angsty otps :'( omg i just feel like such a wreck now
The most essential Johnlock video right now. Maybe for always. So haunting, heartbreaking and incredibly beautiful. Let's hope they find their way home soon. Superb work, Sarah! :)
This is absolutely amazing. The music went so well with the clips and it once more made me very emotional over these two. Thank you for editing something so brilliant!
Oh, tell me it's not a coincidence that you chose this music because its main four notes are the same as the "John alone" music that features in episodes of Sherlock!! Gorgeous choice, and a lovely video.
This is such an amazing Johnlock video! I've been searching for the quote in the info bar "Speechless, I behold the beauty of it's echo.." for months, but I can't find it anywhere :( can anyone please tell me where it is from? It's so beautiful :)
+Tabbyhenne A faint whisper reaches across the stretches of eternity, softly spoken words gathered in one accord fall silently back to earth, warming us with their splendor and light. Speechless, I behold the beauty of it's echo; and i know in this moment i'm more alive than i'll ever be. The warmth of your grace which shines from your eyes devours my entire being, if only for a moment two become one, and nothing know is of any significance. Speechless, i breath everything that you are into me; and i know that this fire inside could never be pacified. Rationality becomes subjacent to your magnificence, my burdening anchor of doubts lifted without effort -I behold a mystert, that in your softly spoken words you bear the key which unbinds my every last burden. Speechless, i find myself in the midst of overwhelming desire.
I'm so sorry to bother anyone in this thread, but I have just realized that I can no longer locate this poem online. Typing the words takes me to other areas and 404 links. I've also searched up the author's name and have found no information.
Wow! Just... wow. This is so simple yet so very interesting. And so masterfully executed. And so beautiful! ...Have I overused 'so' yet? I guess you don't have to answer if you don't want to, since it is ~art~, but this left me wondering: what sort of intentions did you have while editing this? Or, at least, what process did you go through to find the moments you wanted, and to decide in what order and when you would place them?
Thank you very much for your appreciation :) I was really moved by their goodbye and of course, how 'speechless' they were after having been through so much life and heartache with each other. But of course what could they possibly say to each other in a few short moments after both having ultimately saved each others lives? I wanted to capture the essence of their life together and how their expression and emotion in their eyes said all they needed to say. So my intentions were to show just how much was in their goodbye, more than there ever could be if they'd attempted to put it into words.
Oh...so that's the show I've been watching? And all along I thought I was watching a show about crime-solving. haha jk that was amaze-balls. I crey eleventy time. #tjlc #itsendgame

To quote Mark Gatiss - So desperately unspoken.
Beautiful

I still come back to re-watch this video. And always cry. This is an accurate representation of the whole season subtext.
