The 1000rr has a well designed oil drain system. The 500 twins are terrible. Drain plug facing the opposite direction making it lean against gravity, and the filter is on the opposite side. Needing a bowl for the oil filter drain
There is only one drain plug which he took off along with its washer. Behind the drain plug and its washer, there are two pieces of hardware : oil pan drain base and o-ring. The o-ring is pressed against the oil pan by the oil pan drain base, and the drain base itself is secured to the oil pan threads by that other screw which you mistook as another plug. With that smaller plug/screw, when oil drain plug and washer are taken off, the base and the o-ring would still be secured onto the oil pan. I don't know why Honda designed it like this, it's what it is.
Thanks, clear and concise. Just what I was looking for :)
I have a question. It looks like my bike is leaking and dont know where.. (saw dripping oil from top of the exhaust manifold. What can it be??

Could you do a video changing out the chain and sprockets when they wear?
Yeah, that’s not a bad suggestion
