This is a rare interview of Satyajit Ray in BANGLA from the archive of Akashvani Kolkata taken by Dr. Amit Chakraborti and Sankarsan Ray in the year 1982. Here he is talking about the impact of science fiction in his life & film making. He is speaking about his creation of Professor Shonku, Feluda, Bonku babur bondhu. Apart from that he is explaining his view point on Hollywood film like 2001:Space odyssey by Stanley Kubrick.
Satyajit also spoke about his bitter experince in Hollywood for his film Alien and how the story line was copied. He narrated the whole story of his Alien script.
To make the video more interesting I have added some rare clippings of the maestro in action [For Example: 1965 Delhi Film Festival, 1963 Berlin Golden Awards etc].

@Vicky Williams sorry, but I was told Spielberg has accepted it. I might be wrong. I know that his agent in Hollywood gave the story to Spielberg and that agent had bought the copyright of the story in his own name instead of Manik Da's name.
@Vicky Williams yes.. Right.. They will never confess. Who has no greatness to acknowledge Ray, will definitely not going to have the courtesy to confess. It's we who feel these Western bastards are great idols.
@Vicky Williams Hahaha...😁 I think that's another fake story the West is cooking up just like their claim on Moon landing. They are extremely professional in cooking up stories and selling them well across the globe. So better to think few times before believing any of their verses.

Firstly I would like to congratulate you and thank you for sharing such a gem with us. It is really a pleasure to watch these kind of videos and I must admit it is near to impossible to find this of type of treasure trove on TH-cam very often.
Interviewer is emphasising on science based literature. I mean literature should be logical and provoke people to understand the logical thinking. But Satyajit Babu does not want to limit his creation within any limit. He is a real creator. Creation involves everything and it does not have any limit. Bravo Master.
This is an excellent post. I hope someone can help making subtitles for this video such that people who do not speak Bengali, can also enjoy it.
