It was his first match with kane on raw that was supposed to be a one off.. But due to injuries of others etc plans changed and he got a longer run

You know, I don't think Molly Holly gets enough credit for the team player she was at this time. She was a strict born again Christian, but not only competed in matches like these, but always made it fit her gimmick. She had her head shaved in front of millions of people, JUST to get the women's championship on a Wrestlemania card, she was a pretty damn good wrestler, and I have never heard anyone in the business say a single bad word about her.

In all of the reviews you've done that have Chris Benoit in them I've noticed that all his matches are 3 stars or higher. That's actually great makes me sad about his whole situation these reviews show how great of a worker/wrestler he truly was.

Benoit was pretty much considered the unanimous greatest worker who ever lived pre 2007.
Yeah think I misread this one. Benoit having an above 3 star match is just such an inevitibility I guess I found it strange for it to even be pointed out in the first place.

His incredible wrestling talent, however, was all him. He deserves a lot more respect and recognition for his achievements and abilities.
No I think most of us watched him well before the murders. Which is why we're able to recall that he was an exceptional technical wrestler. Not to mention there's a lot of debate that concussions contributed to his warped mental date but WWE doesn't want anyone talking about concussions for obvious reasons

Shelton vs Shawn Michaels had THE best superkick ever, hands down.
The entire match was amazing, but that superkick was an absolutely incredible moment, that will never be forgotten.
I wish they could've worked a program together.

13:18 - the two things I remember from the Kane/Snitsky feud:
-Snitsky showing up to Jericho's Highlight Reel with a fake baby and _punting it into the crowd_ never ceases to make me laugh at how stupid it was; almost made the entire terrible feud worth it. (Almost.)
-Kane & Snitsky main evented one RAW in Toronto, very late in the feud I presume and _way_ past its expiration date I recall, and the smark "Bizarro World" crowd there dumped all over it; chanting for Snitsky and the hometown Maple Leafs and doing the wave during it. Very satisfying, honestly.

Snitsky’s “Taboo Toosday” got me
I remember my folks ordering this PPV for us as kids, and the ending of Flair hugging and crying Orton, both a bloody mess, at the end always left an emotional impression on me, like Flair was sorry for turning his back on Orton, really beautiful story telling there in that simple action

I remember in the build up to this show, there was a massive internet campaign for Val Venis to win the Intercontinental Title vote, which is why they pulled him from it and replaced him with Coach.

I think that the voting is MOSTLY legit. I went to Cyber Sunday one year the fans voted for The Miz to challenge CM Punk for his ECW Championship. It was a surprise because John Morrison was in the vote and he was much more popular than The Miz in 2007 (I don't recall who the third option was). It felt like everyone in the Verizon Center in DC were shocked and there wasn't much of a pop. Perhaps fans were a little burned out on the Punk/Morrison feud?
I would say that it was more fans "protecting" the babyface in Punk, as Miz at the time posed the least threat to Punk's reign.

It would be an awesome way to give a lower card wrestler a push. A scrub somehow wins the poll, wins the title match and then given a chance to sink or swim with promo time, basically a more plausible Jinder push.
I took a ruler to the bars at 32:32. This is a classic optical illusion. The bars are actually the proper size, and the middle bar is ~3.5 times the size of the top bar. It's accurate, it just doesn't look like it because our minds tends to elongate longer things and shorten short things out of proportion.
IIRC a rumour went around at the time that they did the backstage attack angle with Venis because he had won the IC poll!
They need to bring this or Cyber Sunday back. With all the social media involvement & how big the internet is in culture now a days it only makes sense. Especially now with the Network. NXT would probably bring it back before the main roster does

Seems to me 2004 was a very weird year in WWE.
It was a transitional year for wwe.
There was no Rock and Austin. No Brock. No Goldberg.
It was all on the new guys shoulders.
It was definitely a weird year.
But it was a good year
Bradshaw, Farooq’s former buddy became JBL and won the WWE title and Randy Orton became the youngest World Champion, only to become another victim of the Triple H reign of terror. Guys like Rene Dupree, Luther Reigns, Kenzo Suzuki and Heidenreich are featured on TV but they flopped while Shelton Benjamin became a huge star (and Carlito as well) and John Cena, Batista and Edge slowly rise to the top.
And of course, there was Eugene...and the Diva Search...and the Tough Enough where Daniel Puder nearly broke Kurt Angle’s arm and he became the winner. What about the runner up? He may have lost but in the near future, he will become a bigger star than Mr Puder

The tag team division was filled with mixed match teams.
It was the year where WWE was trying all new things to see what would work
BIG MIKE Kenzo Suzuki was even supposed to be called Hirohito as a shoutout to the former Japanese Emperor Hirohito but it did not happen. As far as Kenzo’s career goes, he didn’t do anything significant except win the WWE tag team titles with Renee Dupree and adopt an “I Love USA” gimmick and engage in a battle rap against John Cena
As far as tag teams go, most of the tag teams at the time are mostly composed of two different individuals who are trying to work together in order to win a match and they don’t possess some sort of chemistry between them. With the exception of tag teams like La Resistance at the time during 2004, most of the tag teams are randomly put together without any hype whatsoever

I use to have this dvd taboo tuesday great show. Love the cage match between Randy Orton and Ric Flair. Ric going crazy in the middle of the match all bloody.
I think one of the big ways WWE could've fixed their booking duress during this show (and the subsequent editions) is to close the poll BEFORE the PPV started. You still give the fans what they voted for while not leaving the talent confused with who's wrestling who or in what type of match, and not having to book things out of thin air because nobody thought that, say, Roddy Piper & Ric Flair were gonna be voted to take on the tag team champions.
I made my girlfriend at the time watch this at her friends house. For some reason this did not turn her in to a wrestling fan.
