You are the best instructor. I love how clearly you demonstrate each stitch, and how you gently and briefly point to each stitch your skipping to help. Well done and thank you!
This will be my first doily🙂. Chanced upon your channel today after extensive search for beginner friendly doilies and I just binge watched your videos. So well explained. Have started on this today and hope to finish by tomorrow. Thank you for such a lovely tutorial. 🤗 Will tag you once I post my completed work!
It's my 1st time doing a doily, I unravel 3x and finally did it with perseverance haha though still unsatisfied with my end product it still ends up pretty. I shall practica again. Thank You for the lovely easy to follow tutorial with calming music. It helps me not to give up. Lovely designs. ♥
I followed this pattern and added more details to make it larger and made it multicolored with different shades of blue. Thank you for this! It's lovely! ❤
I’ve crocheted since I was seven and have made many, many, doilies for friends and family over the years, from memory, but I’ve never known the names of the stitches; ie...single crochet; double crochet , triple crochet and so on. People just shew me the stitches and I just took off and did the patterns from memory. You’ve made this so easy to identify the stitches. My motto: if you can teach, I can learn. *You can teach.*
Thank you. I really enjoy crocheting with you. I would like you to show how you hold the thread on your fingers. I just started to learn n I can’t get the grip on holding the thread
Brilliant little video. Thank you. I’m new to crochet but have learnt enough to follow this video really well. I’m really pleased with the result and will be making more!!
Thank you so much. Your videos are excellent. I started to learn crocheting yesterday but even today I finished your pretty doily pattern . I am very pleased with myself, thanks to you... 🌼🦋
I wish I could put my photo on here. But I did follow your instructions. I lost my way a couple of times, but winged it. I noticed at the end, between the center flower part, and the ring, I missed some stitches. So, I just added some thread and reconnected them just to be sturdy. It did not take me long to do this. I am saving this link. You made it look so effortless. Thank you, happy new year, God bless.
Brilliant tutorial. So clear and timely. Just on Round 10 it should read (ch5, skip 5st, 1sc, ch4picot, ch5, skip 5st, 1sc). Love all your doilys. Thank you so much for presenting the tutorials so well.
Thank you so much ❤️ This was my first crochet project, and it was so easy to follow the instructions in your video. So fun to actually manage to make something 😊
Your videos are so easy to follow! This is the second one I’ve done and I also feel extremely confident. Thank you! Just one question- my finished pieces aren’t lying flat. What causes that? I could be doing it too tight.
Truly beautiful doiley..my first attempt ..not easy for beginner but i killed it..will do more in different colors..i started w black n was hard to see stitches. 😜thank u
Hi I love all your patterns so easy to follow. Do you perhaps have a pattern .. 1 of your existing round or oval dollies..that is bigger than your small dollies pattern. Well done keep it up 🤗🙏
Love the tutorials! Is there anyway to get a printable version. I am old and just learn better by reading and doing it in my time. You are the only one i've found that actually has the directions on the screen as you work and I do love that.

Your doilies remind me of my great grandmother's. Do you ever make any oblong doilies for table runners? I have been looking for a video, but they are all pretty plain compared to hers.
You can starch it if wish. Just wet or wash your doily, gently squeeze out the excess water. Put the doily on your towel and gently strech it into the desired shape. I like to press my cotton doilies with the steam iron before shaping them. If you want to stiffen your doily, just spray it with some starch spray and leave it to dry.
hello i have a hard understanding on how to read patterns and find that i do well with verbal instructions and visual. Do you have any help videos with this kind of teaching?
In the 7th row I made short columns - to the beginning, to the middle, to the beginning of the chain .. then 16 curves came out, instead of 18. The blanket is more regular and done faster. Does not twist, etc .. =)))
Question: In the pattern, why is it marked for example as (1hdc + 8hdc)? Why not (9hdc)? Also Kristine, when we're finished with a project like this, how do we stiffen the doily or table runner? I used to know this. Thanks for your help!
That's because 8hdc are worked into ch8 space and 1hdc is worked into sc stitch of the prev. round. I thought it would be easier to understand. Wet or wash your doily, gently squeeze out the excess water. Put the doily on your towel and gently strech it into the desired shape. I like to press my cotton doilies with the steam iron before shaping them. If you want to stiffen your doily, just spray it with some starch spray and leave it to dry.

Could you please tell me what weight yarn you are using ....beautiful piece of work ....can’t wait to start one x
Thank you! 😊
I used sport weight yarn.
I wonder if you could do some of the super fancy doilies I see out there. I don’t understand how to work them.
Preciosa!!! Muchas gracias por compartir 🇲🇽
Hi, thanks for this lovely pattern.
If I need to make it in bigger size, which round should I repeat?
Thank you so much! Should I starch my doily? I remember that's what my grandma used to do, but I don't know exactly how she did it.

Thank you! 😊
I used 3 mm crochet hook and sport weight mercerized cotton yarn - size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla yarn.
Super facil y rapido, yo uso estambre/hilo/ lana de tamaño 4 y un ganchillo de 4mm
Thank you so much for sharing. I find it so cute. But is it possible to get a written pattern?
I'm glad you like it! 🙂
Here is the written pattern: www.kristinescrochets.com/2019/06/crochet-summer-haze-doily-easy-pattern.html
Wondering What would I do to maker it much bigger?
Beautiful!!! But I think at round 9, you forgot to mention to skip a stitch between 9 dc and 1 sc!!!
Question: In the pattern, why is it marked for example as (1hdc + 8hdc)? Why not (9hdc)? Also Kristine, when we're finished with a project like this, how do we stiffen the doily or table runner? I used to know this. Thanks for your help!

I love this pattern and tutorial, I’m trying to make a doily that’s 30cm in diameter. Would you have any tips on how to expand it?
