i hope we see some of the more obscure correa moment like my favorite where it shows a tripod trying to rip off a railroad from the ground and it looks like its really putting its back into it
As always, excellent work. Every episode is well worth the wait! You amaze me with your attention to detail and atmosphere, the passion and dedication to this kind of a project is inspirational. Thank you for producing these, you're doing a great rare service to fans of War of the Worlds out there. Looking eagerly forward to the next! Interested to see that footage of Tawny Owls too!
Another outstanding episode. 👍 So impressed that you used the correct London locations and even showed him following the correct route from Charing Cross ro Waterloo Station, via the Strand. 👍👍👍
How very excellent indeed. Thank-you for another extremely well done installment. You follow the book particularly closely, and I agree with and understand the elements you've left out to move the story along. The background detail is astounding, as is that of the NPCs. Thank-you again - can't wait for Chapter 6.
The adventures of the journalists brother is a large part of Wells book and completely ignored by all the films Thank you for covering it in your excellent series I eagerly await every new episode
Well worth the wait, can see why it takes so long but don’t rush them.thank you for your hard work I am really enjoying them and telling all my friends to watch as well.
I love these. A few years back I read WOtW again for the Nth time and that time had Google Maps to follow along with all the locations mentioned in the book, which are all real.
The following statements are both true. 1. There are a number of things that really get my goat, not least the sanitised heat ray going pew pew. 2. This, hands down, no question, the best version ever made. I cannot WAIT to see the stampede, the torpedo ram and Sunday night in the Thames Valley. SUPERB.
Funny you should say that. That pub, in Chalk Farm, was one that I and my friends would occasionally visit in our University days (during the '60s), which is why I included it. It is also very near to Regent's Park, where the main character lived. The drunk could have been any one of us!
Hi, thanks for your interest. Yes, those machines will appear in the appropriate chapters in due course. They will be based on Correa's illustrations, of course.
I'm about half way through the book, although some of the later chapters may be condensed as they are a bit "wordy" - not good for a silent film. Next chapter has the Martians regaining the offensive and using the Black Smoke - will be finished in a couple of weeks I hope. After that will be the mass exodus from London and the "Thunderchild" encounter, which everyone seems to be waiting for. Thanks for your interest.
Idea for next vids Like in some of Warwick's illustrations, have the render/animation/image have a text in somewhere of the screen wich is the part of the book its based
Thanks for your interest in my project and your suggestions. I am following the book chapter by chapter, including as many of the "set pieces" as my animation skills will allow. I am not sure adding text will achieve anything as anyone with a copy of WOTW can follow the narrative.
An early motor car (a Humber 1904 model) appears in Trafalgar Square and Regent's Park (in the last scene). Although motorised omnibuses were being developed and some were in use, the horse drawn buses were still, at that time, by far the most common. Certainly, archive film footage of London traffic shows only horse drawn buses with the very occasional motor car and these films are what I have based these scenes on. Thank you for your interest.
We'll take the car, go to Mum's, kill Phil - "Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?
@@rgnogstar This chapter sets the scene for what eventually happens off the coast of Essex, when the tripods engage with the "Thunderchild". The narrator's brother is fleeing London and will make his way eastwards and will get on a steamer heading to the Continent as the tripods close in. The next chapter, however, will return to the narrator currently unconscious on the banks of the Thames. The tripods are re-grouping after their set-back, but return with new tactics - the use of the "Black Smoke". My animation follows the book closely, so get hold of a copy or read it online and you will see in which chapters the tripods are active.
@@rgnogstar Chapter 6 will include the narrator falling in with a curate and witnessing the Martian Tripods using the Black Smoke and Heat Ray to overcome the artillery. Handling machines and Thunderchild come in future chapters
Thanks for your interest. Chapter 6 will see the Narrator hooking up with a Curate, and the Martians deploying the "Black Smoke". Only just started it, so will be a few months away. It's only me producing this serialisation, and I do have other projects on the go!
The humans need to find a way to fight back they know a weakness to the martians are the artillery cannons so they need to use those more but there aim is not that good so I don’t know how the humans are gonna fight back air strikes maybe I don’t know
Every moment of each chapter is wonderful. I was really happy to see another one posted. Keep going. The best version of the book so far. Thanks

the god damn CROWDS
tbh he can just make the crowd simulated, look at how well the buildings are made
Brilliant, just brilliant. As a fan of War of the Worlds, i think that this is the best version I have seen,
Just finished a binge watch of Chapters 1 to 5. Absolutely riveting. Looking forward to the next chapters. HG Wells would be proud of your production.
these are absolutely incredible, thank you so much for making them, it's really wonderful to see what I had imagined when reading the book!
They should put this on at The Grand Cinema at the Beamish Museum.
As always, well worth the wait for these.
I haven't even watched the thing yet I know with your work, it's going to be fantastic.
Freaking incredible! Keep up the awesome work! It’s just amazing!
Excellent work. Please do not stop.
I have been enjoying all of these so far. Can't wait to see more!

Great animation, and why is it so hard to find these videos on Yutube
i am really glad to see you back :D
The drunk crossing the road to the left at 5:53. 😂😂 Had a few of those nights in my youth.

When’s the next one! Getting withdrawal symptoms!
So sad i am late
Can you include the flying machine and the handling machine?

So u take 5 to 6 months to make these perfect to know mate keep up the work

Why are we seeing what appear to be fluorescent light fixtures at 4:49 at a time when electricity wasn't even in use?
Well spotted!!! Although electricity was in use back then and quite widespread.
No motorcars and no autobus in London around 1904? I have other photographies of that time

Superbly done but I think piano music of more dramatic quality by more sensitive in talented musicians would have been done better back in the day.
when will the chapter be out
the next one might be out in the next 3 months considering it took 5 monthed to post this one after the previous one
