Is it possible to run Process Explorer from Command Prompt from Bootable USB after creating Recovery Drive with Process Explorer in System32 folder? Thanks.
Hi Lowell! I love your videos about Windows Troublshootings! I have always used "control schedtasks" to open task scheduler and I just tried your "taskschd.msc" and it works as well, I don't know why MS has to different run commands for the same applet... I just realized that on the pc I use for Internet surfing, all the tasks history were disabled, and I don't remember having disabled the history, so I don't know if this is disabled by default to save disk space? I will have a look in my 4 others computers tomorrow, for my curiosity.
Both commands to launch Task Scheduler are valid, task history is disabled by default, I did not check my 2016 Server to see if it is disable there also, so nice to hear from you! Thanks for the comments and for supporting the channel.
@@TechsavvyProductions I have checked with three others computers at home, none of them have the "all tasks" history enabled. So I conclude MS has disabled it by default (to save space on disk or to inprove task scheduler console fast opening). But of course when we create a new task the history is enabled by default for this task (good news for troubleshooting).
Hands down, this is one of the best in-depth videos on WTS I've seen yet! Thank you for a well-explained and detailed run-through.

Great question, process explore is GUI so no, but you can use pslist.exe or pslist64.exe for some of the information on processes running.
