I really enjoyed your lesson today on the Flamingo. i am wanting to start painting in acrylics but they dry too fast for me. Any beginners advice would be greatly appreciated. I have only painted with oil paints.

What can I use instead of yellow oxide? I use Liquitex HB, but cannot find it locally. Love this guy!

Is there a difference between cad red light and cad red light hue? I understand there is a price difference and the hue doesn’t contain cadmium. But is there a real color difference?

Cristy Smith i gave this a try. The only thing is...i am a new patron and it would have been helpful for me to have the traceable BEFORE the show so I was more prepared because drawing the image is always the hardest for me. I am excited to go back and work on mine more tomorrow. Thank you

QUESTION FOR ANGELA: I USED THE COLORS YOU RECOMMENDED BUT MY PAINTING IS MORE RED. DO DIFFERENT BRANDS HAVE DIFFERENT HUES?
I lve this! Why don't you use cad orange since the photo looks quite orange? Maybe sometime you can do a leopard?
Cheryl LeBlanc shes awesome at matching the colors of the reference photos... Plus Flamingos are pink hues.. I can see oranges hues as well on my screen.. They become that color from eating shrimp! I think Angela has a tiger in her Playlist.. U should check it out.. Lots of beautiful paintings to choose from!
