I love how each of you is so different in person! I can relate to all of you in some points and it makes me so happy, yaay ^.^ And MANDY THANK YOU SO MUCH I aaaalways get hungry when I study in my room so that I can't focuss on my work, but from now on I will try to work outside. Maybe it will help, it at least seems like a really good tip! :) (and sorry for my bad english, greeting from Germany :))
I graduated this past December, my tips would be set small goals especially for classes you don't enjoy. If you have something to work for it helps make the class easier. Get to know a few of your classmates this will help if you've missed a day and need notes, or if you want to have a study group. Ask questions, this is the biggest thing. So many people are afraid to ask questions but you should, you are learning a skill. My professors always told me that it's better to make the effort and learn the skill then cruise by and never understand. Use the sources offered by the school or professor it pays off in the end. Remember some professors will suck and the classes will be hard but those are the professor who push you because they know you can do it and you will learn the most from those classes. And lastly, have fun. College is stressful but make sure you have friends to hang out with to ease that stress. Once you graduate you will feel accomplished, proud, and have lasting memories :)
As someone who just finished my bachelor's degree in nursing, I think this all is EXCELLENT advice for current students. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I changed my major three times in college before choosing nursing, which I actually ended up in kind of by accident, but trust that God has a plan and He will lead you to what you are meant to do. I LOVE my current nursing job and am actually now going back to graduate school for my master's in nursing! Keep going when things get rough. College can be a bumpy road but the outcome is so worth it. :)
guys, don't stress over school. especially college. if you fail a class you can take it like 2 more times. also, if you get a C it doesn't matter. that C wont be listed on your Degree. Just do your best, pursue what you love, and have fun. don't get caught up in trying to be something you're not.
I had a uniform throughout high school. I never "dressed" for class, but my style now, since I graduated from university, is so much more mature and "adult." It's basically night and day.
Mandi be "deep" with her words tho, Great Advice Mandi. Congrats, Hailey! Allie at the end, lmao, too funny! Thank you for sharing! My three Inspirations! I can relate so much! :)
Thanks for this video and thanks for answering my question! I really can relate with all of you in some points. College is hard but you have to think that you are doing what you like and that is all for you and your future. And what Allie said about making friends in the subjects you don't like is totally true! That's my motivation to go to math classes hahaha! Thank you again! Love you 💖
First off, I think it's amazing that you all have gone to college, even though you have a successful singing group together. You all are doing so well as musicians, but I definitely think it's important to still further your knowledge and education as well, so kudos to you! I also can appreciate that each of you experienced high school a little differently, and I can relate to a lot of each of your perspectives. It's nice that you are all so close and supportive of one another as well. Currently, I have my BA in early childhood education, as well as my almost completed MS in School Counseling, and in my masters I've been working at least part time at the same time. It can definitely be a struggle trying to balance work, school, and your personal life. I've found that just making time for your friends and family before or after classes, can be nice because it gives you a little break from the stress. I also try to do my homework on weekday nights, as well as weekends, and then on weekend nights I try to spend some time havening fun such as going to a movie, or dinner with friends or family. Once you plan ahead and set times for each of your priorities, it might feel a little less crazy and chaotic. :)
Jeez, it's nice to hear that other people struggle with school and all that good stuff as well:) I actually withdraw from BYU Idaho because I got married and I was way too busy, I was also needing a break because I didn't take any which leads me to my little tip. Take breaks, otherwise it may show in your grades. Not always but for me it did! Also, I struggle to jump back into school, this video was a good motivator to help me get back as soon as possible. Thanks guys!!!! I love you guys so much, you have no idea:)
Hahaha yasss! the whole not dressing up thing is soo true! Never dressed up for school so far (except when I was required to) and I'm going to be a junior this coming up year.
Thank you so much! :) Currently, at my university exam session took over and I have a lot of exams to pass. So much stress, but your video really cheered me up and motivated to work as hard as I can! :) You are all awesome, Mandi - I am the same, I love to read and I would like to teach English, I live in Poland :) My ways to motivate myself: pray and listen to worship songs :) think that your knowledge is going to help you in the future, you can be an expert in your area!
I absolutely loved this video! All of you had great tips & made me laugh. Thanks so much! Also I think as far as school goes, I relate to Mandi the most. :)
I really can't wait to kick off with a good start at college soon, hope it all goes well & i make some really good friends. Best of luck to u girls !! And like always Thank you for the good advice! Love your music! btw, i think the best way to go through university is to be very positive n spread it as well as putting in all your effort n dedication into your work & try to avoid as much of all the unnecessary negative distractions available :)
I just finished High School here in Scotland and am now looking for employment. The general opinion from the teachers in my school is if you aren't going to College/University then you will fail in life. This actually motivated me to go looking for a job rather than further education. I want to prove to myself that doing what you feel is right, is actually the best path in life. I am 1 of only a few who have chosen to not go on to further education in my school, due to what the teachers have told us. Everyone is different and personally, I think that the teachers (at least in my country) forget this. At the end of the day, I'm looking to live a happy life and happiness can bring you a lot more than money can. As long as you live within your means, you will get on just fine. GL to everyone still to sit finals/exams!
I love you guys so much out are my inspiration and now Even more you have wise words and have guided people through many situations where your music has inspired them , keep doing what your doing and never stop x
Great video. Thanks for sharing your stories. I once read in an article about how to do well in school and it said to keep our heads down in our books and before we know it, we will be finishing and graduating so I think my advice would be to just concentrate on the learning side of school and not the social aspect and work hard in school and before you know it you will be finishing school and on to bigger and better things. Sorry for repeating and allot.
This video was like sent to me, I'm in physics engineering and motivation is playing with me so bad, it's a super amazing career and I don't really struggle with academic things, but lately I feel so lonely I have no friends, I mean I talk to some people (I even get closer to teachers) and my motivation is leaving me, I try to stay strong girls, and work really hard. Please pray for me, I want to find what I love and do it with all my heart!!!
My time during high school is hard cause my school's from 8am-2pm and there's always an extra class or co-curriculum activity for another 2-4 hours so school will end at 6pm. The journey back home takes about an hour. So it'll be 7pm by the time i get home. When i reach home i'll take a shower eat and have a break for like an hour and by the time it'll be 8pm. There's always alot of homework, project and assignments which will take about 4 hours and by the time i complete it, it'll be 12am. I have to wake up at 5am for school so i only have 5 hours of sleep. That is why high school is the most stressful and tiring moment for me. I'm glad i survived it :D Now i've graduated from an institute of technical education college with a nitec cert
Thanks for doing this video and thanks for your advices. I'm having a hard school year, I've made bad choices and now I can't go to college. You girls really helped me with this video. Thanks ❤️ Sorry if my English isn't very good, I'm from Spain haha.
Find academics that inspire you. I am currently in my third year of studies at my home university and will be graduating from the BA programme (English major, Social Sciences minor, German double extended) with the intention of working in education. Also, University is a great place to experiment with new subjects. :)
Speaking of college, i just finished truck driving school on Monday, here in my home state of Texas. At first, i thought i was too old for college at age 35. But, I found out that age is just a number, especially for college.
I did have a Class B CDL, until this past Monday(October 28th). I now have a class A CDL, which will allow me to not only drive tractor trailers. But, also drive trucks that are class B
I stopped stressing about my exams like a year before they started. I've gone beyond caring, I still want to do well but the past 5 years have just drained me
@gardinersisters I now that everyone say that you nee to Be you, And I agree it. Be that person that God tells you to Be. do what you love. find your Dream and make it. xxx Esther
Im starting university next year and I'm so scared because all my friends are going to different places and I feel like it'll be impossible to make new friends idk
Meredith Foster has brilliant tips, too. Also, click to my channel and look for my playlists. I have a playlist for 'college or school help' that has brilliant videos for back to school. There should be other school playlists, too.
Mandi is the type who just ventures off into nature and suddenly understands why x+y= z

I can't believe no one wanted to be Hailey's friend in High School.
Their lose.
Jeffrey c Estes so many people could have had an amazing friend
Hailey's actually SOOO nice, girls should aspire to be like her
