    Being from Norway (a country quite similar to Denmark) I can imagine that the energy at that age is pretty similar to the teens in my country. Them clapping along to the music is pretty much equivalent to cheering. They are engaged and wanna show support. You gotta do something quite over the top to elicit mid performance cheering in my experience having gone to that kinda Nordic school. And the applause at the end of the performances were quite enthusiastic in my Nordic opinion. Also the fact that they payed attention and didn’t just talk or something with their friends in the crowd is also a good indication that they enjoyed the performance. That crowd was not dead lol, just danish hahaha 😅😂😊 I’m sure the performers got a lot of praise from their fellow students and friends after the performance as well. 😊
    Remember that these crowds are much smaller than most of the school performances you’ll see where people cheer a lot and it can therefore be harder sometimes to be the person that starts cheering and keeps doing it so that others feel safe to join before the instigator of the cheering starts to feel too seen and anxious. The clapping to the beat is a much safer way (safer socially that is) to show support and cheer the team on as well as create a sense of community in the crowd without screaming in each others ears or drowning out the music so that it would be harder to hear the songs they are dancing to. It’s simply a different culture when it comes to school performances than you might be used to seeing on TH-cam.
    (I posted part of this comment as an answer to someone’s comment about the crowd being dry, but because I see quite a lot of people commenting about it I am also posting it as an individual comment.)

    • @shpark6248
      @shpark6248 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I agree with you. The audience shouldn't be criticized.
      They showed their respect, at least. Probably, they are not familiar to the songs and dances. If they knew the songs well, I'm sure they could have enjoyed even more cheerfully.

    • @benediktemb
      @benediktemb ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@shpark6248 absolutely, the songs being unfamiliar is probably also a contributor to the crowd not being super audibly excited, and they did nothing rude in the situation regardless😊 I think the people commenting about it just aren’t used to or aware of the Nordic teen in school culture. No harm no foul regardless, I just wanted the people commenting to have the chance to learn about that side of Nordic school cultures 😉

      _When Internet talk about the Northern European countries, they always talk only about Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and always forget about Russia. Therefore, Russians look at it from the outside, like migrants from behind the fence on Local Holidays. But Russia never waits for an Official Invitation, it always comes on its own._
      Sorry,
      *Question:* Which country is located between Norway and Korea?...
      About Russian Culture and Education.
      The Education system of Russia is based on Russian National Culture, with influence: Europe/Asia (Russia, Germany, Poland, Italy, France, Caucasus, Central Asia, Turkey, Persia (Iran), India, China, etc). The rich russian culture is best school (basic) education system in the World: russian classical music, russian classical literature, classical poetry, architecture, art, choreography, etc (science, philosophy, economics, trade). The Russian educational system is based with help the Russian Cultural Renaissance of the XIX century, when Europe was already experiencing a cultural decline, but Russia at that time had geniuses like Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka, Tolstoy, Pushkin (Ethiopian origin), Lermontov (Scottish origin), Chekhov, Gogol, Dostoevsky and Aivazovsky (Armenian origin), etc. They were able to raise Russian Сulture to Unattainable Heights...
      *Leo Tolstoy - War and Peace* (Nikolay Rostov, Pavlogradsky Hussar Regiment attacks to French infantry) *lpHLr5-zpx8*
      _Having delayed the enemy and thus ensured the success of the retreat of the main forces of the Russian army, the detachment hastily retreated in the dark after the battle. The Russians repulsed the last French attack already during the retreat in the dark. Although the wounded were ordered to be left behind, many of them dragged themselves after the troops and asked to lie down on the guns. Among them was a pale Hussar junker, who, supporting his arm with his other hand, approached artillery сaptain Tushin and asked permission to sit on the gun. "Captain, for God's sake, I have a concussion," he said timidly. - For God's sake, I can't walk anymore. For God's sake! It was obvious that this juncker repeatedly asked to sit down somewhere and was refused everywhere he asked in a hesitant and pitiful voice. "Let him go, let him go," Tushin said. Rostov was the junker. He was holding on with one hand to the other, was pale, and his lower jaw was shaking with a feverish tremor. He was placed on the very gun from which the dead officer had just been thrown. There was blood on the officer's greatcoat, which stained Rostov's trousers and uniform. Rostov's wounded arm hurt terribly. Snow began to fall from the dark sky, Rostov forgot himself for a minute, but during this short period of oblivion he saw his house, a fluffy fur coat, a fast sleigh and felt the love and care of his family. "And why did I come here!?"He thought about it. Rostov was 20 years old. This was his first battle._

      *_Anecdote_*
      _The Doctor at the clinic tells to the Patient: I'm very sorry. You have only 4 minutes left to live, what is your last wish?_
      _Patient: I want to listen to Tchaikovsky's "Pas de deux"_
      _Doctor: But the "Pas de deux" lasts 5 minutes!_
      _God (from above): No problem, I'll wait._
      *Preview:* Russia, Middle Volga river, Togliatti city, Language Gym № 38, First School Day Ceremony *bZGNqLHlrXM*
      Most Russians live in the European part of the country(>70% ). About 77% are ethnic Russians, and over 60 million Russians live in the Volga basin area - includes Finno-Ugric (Finns), Baltic (Lithuanians and Belarusians), Slavic (Russians, Ukrainians, Poles), Iranic (Persia and Caucasus), Turkic (Ottoman Empire: Most are Balkans and Greeks, Golden Horde: Most are Tatars and Chuvashs ) and Germanic (Volga Germans: Most are Mennonites from Germany, Holland, Austria, etc) ethnic groups, etc. Nowadays, it's very Mixed and Russified. Ancient Migrations: Northern - Baltic-Volga water away, Southern - Caspian-Volga water away, Eastern - Steppe away, Western - Central and Southern Europe. Dominant Anthropological type: Depigmented Volgid, etc.
      The Volga is the biggest river in Europe, and it splits the European part of Russia right down the middle. It's about two kilometers wide on average, but near the city of Togliatti it's five kilometers wide. If you go swimming downstream from Togliatti , it'll be twenty kilometers wide - it's like the main transport artery of Eastern Europe! Moscow region is Volga basin area too. Togliatti Embankment *nR4L9opHXlI*
      History: Togliatti City (the old name of "Stavropol on the Volga" until 1964) was founded by Military Orthodox Ethnic Kalmyks who accepted Russian citizenship and performed Military Service for the Russian Empire as a Stavropol Fortress - "Stavro Polis" (Greek language) - the City of the Cross against the robbery raids of Hordes of Nomads.
      So...look,
      *Real Russia/Provincial Russia,* Middle Volga river, Volga Federal District, Togliatti city (population 685,619 people, ethnic composition: ethnic Russians 87%, Tatars 4%, Ukrainians 2%, Mordovians 1.5%, Chuvashs 1.5%, others: ethnic Germans (Volga Germans), Poles, Jews, Koreans - less than 0.5%, etc). Assimilation has affected many ethnic groups, and they now consider themselves ethnic Russians, having lost their original ethnic identity.
      Language Gymnasium № 38 (languages: German, English, Frencn, Spanish, Chines, etc), First School Day, short clips (5 min): 2018 *QOv3dejeL34* 2019 *z4dlAc66Mq8* 2020 *ZyLzuqoWcp0*
      Sun School Day, Song "Orange Sun", short clip. *9LTOTtHWCbE*
      Choreographic training at the Gymnasium № 38 *kB2Lmm7ydr0*
      It has been scientifically proven that effective brain activity is interconnected with the motor motility of the body. Russia has very strong choreographic and sporting traditions, and Russians are leaders in sport gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, figure ice skating, synchronized swimming and classical ballet.
      Russia, Togliatti city, Language Gym № 38, First School Day and Last School Day, short clips *HX9_diW5LaM* *YOQJorUSn20* *m1RVgwblEWc* *0kPC0mzg0BE*

      PS: The population of the Volga region already shows low uraloidness, which is increasing in the Ural region of Russia, but even in the Urals, uraloidness is not Dominant.
      50% of Russian citizens have light eyes and light hair - about 77 million people from 154 mln russians (without Ukraine and Belarus). Russia is the only country in the world in which the number of light-eyed and blonde shades hairs is increasing due to the reverse drift of recessive genes.
      The body adapts to extremely low temperatures by changing the shape of the bones of the face to reduce the heat transfer of the face (the face becomes streamlined, like in a wind tunnel). The cheekbones become larger and higher (the maxillary sinuses increase), reducing the bones of the eye sockets (sub asian eyes), the chin becomes more pointed, the shape of the nose and jaw changes. The ears are also modified to protect against frostbite, and sometimes the earlobes merge with the cheeks. The skin (eyes and hair) lose their pigment, the skin of the face becomes "velvety" (protective fat layer). Rudimentary epicanthus (or sub-asian eyes) in some primary school children completely when they reach adulthood.
      50% of the most Fertile soils in the World (Black soils) are located in Russia. 75% of the Russian population lives on most Fertile soils in the World (Black soils) - this is the highest rate in the World.
