Они не способны увидеть новые цвета, потому что проблема внутри глаз, их детекторы не могут воспринимать все длины волн, воспринимаемые человеком. Очки такое не лечат, но помогают различать некоторые оттенки, до того не различимые. Цветовая слепота неизлечима сегодня.

      @stephensmith7887 I have a stupid question. If a person has never seen red,blue,yellow then how is that person able to say the correct colors when the family asks them? Can people with color blindness see muted colors?

    • @derrynh-NE
      @derrynh-NE ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@intherockies The vast majority of people with colorblindness see some variations of color. I see vivid reds, yellows, and blues. When the colors are less vivid they just merge into each other. For a light blue I may have to be told that it's blue, or I might assume it's blue when it's actually green. Sometimes two colors will look exactly the same to me, but others will see an obvious difference. At night everything goes to various shades of black & white.
      There are different forms of colorblindness, and they occur in different intensities.
      I still remember the rainfall maps of the U.S. in school when I was about 8 years old. I guess they were trying to teach us how to read maps with a color key where each color represented a quantity for a corresponding area of the map. I always got them wrong, and didn't understand why everyone else got them right. I never had a problem with the concept, but the map key used about twelve shades of yellow. I could only see two or three shades. The teacher just thought I never learned colors, she wasn't too bright. Colorblindness isn't so rare that a competent teacher would be unaware of it.

    • @Allacra
      @Allacra ปีที่แล้ว

      @@intherockies They can't because most of these reactions are probably fake. Look up videos or reviews of these glasses (not the the manufacturer's website), and you'll see that the glasses are mostly a scam. :( I was so happy for people (though I also wondered about how they could correctly name the colors they had never seen) until I saw info about the "scam." :(

    5:27 The guy holding the camera asks "How're you feeling, dude?". THAT is the question everyone should ask first, not "What do you see?". Their brains are handling a whole new set of inputs and it can be overwhelming. Most of us experience that at birth and again a bit later in infancy when our eyes finally reach the point where we can focus and we can't remember what it's like. I love the videos where people give them space to start processing what's happening.

    • @GreatStar6
      @GreatStar6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's too bad that none of this is true. Most of theses videos are TH-camrs paid to fake reactions to wearing sunglasses. You can tell when watching later videos and the glasses are never worn again. Why stop using such a life changing product?
      That and what none of these TH-camrs will tell you is that colorblindness is permanent. The cones and rods in your eyes can't pick up some frequencies of color. Glasses cannot fix that.
      Imagine for a second you cannot feel anything in your hands due to not having nerves in your hand. Wearing special gloves won't magically make those missing nerves come back. Same thing here. Glasses won't fix what your eyes physically can't pick-up.
      It's all a scam to get money out of you

    • @donaldwert7137
      @donaldwert7137 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GreatStar6 While I'm sure you are correct that a certain number of these are fake, I know a color-blind man who has described his perceptions to me. 1 in every 12 men that you see walking around are colour blind/colour deficient. It is 1 in 255 for women. The mutation that makes the red and green receptor cones too close together is carried on the X chromosome. Women have 2 X chromosomes 1 from each parent so they need to receive the mutation/defect from BOTH parents. Men only have 1 X chromosome so only need to receive the defect from their mother to be colour blind. It's actually very common among men

      basically the glasses act as a prism. You know those school prisms that you can hold to sunlight and it divides the light rays into color. Normally you can't see the color but the prisms break up the light rays into different wavelengths that you can see. The glasses work the same way, except they focus on breaking up the red/green spectrums even more than normal, so those with damaged colorblind eyes can detect the rays. They are kind of like special prisms only made for the red/green light spectrum.

    • @real_MacrocosM
      @real_MacrocosM 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's not quite like a prism in that a prism will simply split the frequencies of light, It's actually more like a filter. Most of these people who are colour deficient have the red and green receptor cones mutated so they are far too close together and thus their brain has rarely if ever been able to differentiate properly between They had problem anything that contains red light. This includes orange and pink and purple. Purple will look like a bluey grey red just looks brownish and green just looks slightly lighter Brownish. And pink just looks grey. The glasses simply catch that band of light that crosses between green and red on the spectrum and filters it out completely giving the cones the ability to split the signals a little better and finally 'perceive' red wavelengths properly. Quite amazing how many colours have red as a primary base that this changes. Green in and of itself isn't actually a primary colour and we only have an RGB cone set for a reason. Much like a television set.

    Hello. I am a graphic artist and, essentially a color-theorist. Just for some info, the new EnChroma glasses do not necessarily turn a black-and-white world into all the natural colors in nature. Generally people have either red/green color blindness or blue/yellow. So, basically the glasses are heightening certain blues and yellows or reds and greens. It gets complicated, but basically the glasses are able to filter the light just right that the defunct cones and rods in your eyes are able to make use of the little color they can pick up and sort of "amplify" that color. The glasses initially "amplify" the sounds that their eyes already see. The new technology of lens generally can help most people's with color blindness. - Frank M. at _The Acoustic Rabbit Hole_

    One of the best videos I've seen was of a guy who loved finding sunglasses that some dropped and making them his. So his family planets the EnChroma glasses outside on their driveway. He found them and came inside asking if they were someone sunglasses at a family Christmas party. Of course they weren't anyone glasses, so he claimed them as his and put them on. The surprise on his face as he started to see new colors was unreal.
