Did Waihe’e Ridge trail yesterday. Platform at top was clouded in but the views on the way up and back were absolutely stunning. Wear legit hiking shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy. Your super white sneakers will get trashed and won’t have the traction to keep you upright in the slippery spots on the way down.
If you plan on self exploring Maui, I HIGHLY suggest you download the Shaka Guide app. It has GREAT tours of West Maui Loop, Road to Hana, and Haleakala.
Hey Josh! Finally, someone who loves Hawai'i as much as I do. Moving to Hawai'i as a teenager from a small town in MIchigan was a dream come true for me. Have lived in Hawai'i for a total of seven years. I live in Texas, now. NO COMPARISON! *Subscribed*
Heading for Maui at the Westin just North of Black Rock, great video and ive been think of Olive poos and The Blow Hole as Ive not done those yet.. Your other idea are great too! Mahalo for posting! You have The Aloha spirit!!!! Goin to hike to Sharks Teeth too for awesome photo op.. I going to snorkel all of your recommendations too, even the ones I've done before! I PUMPED for the Mission after watching this! : )
Another really nice video and thank you for mentioning reef safe sunscreen! The one piece of advice I’d disagree with is going around counter-clockwise. If you go clockwise, you get to be on the hill side when passing cars coming from the other direction on those really narrow stretches of road (as opposed being right on the edge of the cliff side, which can be nerve-wracking!)
Hi Josh‼️ I have a huge problem. We have a family member in a wheelchair on our trip coming up this July 10th arrival. Staying at the Westin Kanaapali Ocean Condos for a week. Have you got a few sight seeing tips for us. Now's your test, you can do this! Mahalo and Aloha..😎🏖️🤙
Esther, there’s tons you guys can do on Maui! The Road to Hana is perfect because so many of the attractions are visible by car or short distance away. Sunshine Helicopters have a lifting device and perfect for a visit to the molokai sea cliffs. It’s summer but for anyone reading this in the future. Many whale watching and boat tours are ADA accessible. Haliakala summit is a must! You can stop by a Luau. Kaanapali Beach, Kamaole I Beach in Kihei and Wailea Beach are all great wheelchair accessible beaches. And you know I love hiking here’s a list of wheelchairs friendly hikes I found www.alltrails.com/hawaii/maui/ada I hope you have a fantastic time. Let me know what his/her favorite thing to do was when you get back 🤙
It is very bad luck to take lava rock away from the islands. My aunt and uncle own the Gazebo restaurant in Napili and people are constantly mailing lava rock to be returned with horror stories of bad luck
Thanks so much for the content, we are heading back to Maui again this year and staying up in Kapalua Bay. Definitely making some notes from your videos. Cheers!
Dude, I’ve been scouring the internet, and I’ve concluded that you are THE resource for Hawaiian travel vlogging. Mahalo bro!
Thanks for the nice words
south maui is a far better destination, much better beaches and better location.
Best guide, i like how you have the maps showing. It helps for our new tourists! I cant believe other TH-camrs forget about this!
We are visiting in August. I'm going to have to take notes of all the hikes and snorkeling spots. Thank you for sharing.
Impressed from your tour ,thank you for your tour !
This is a perfect video, I’m so happy i found it! Great concise tips and I’m so happy you reminded everyone about reef safe sunscreen! Mahalo!
Great resource this is why TH-cam is great. Thanks
That road on the north west side of Maui is scary. I love staying on the west maui area and will be there in May again! Mahalo!

Great video thanks for sharing

Thanks for this - coming again in Dec. All the islands are great, but west Maui is our favorite.
As always great job on the video! Love your food videos too cause I'm a chubby gobbler man

GREAT info/tips! Cannot wait to return…
It's kinda more NW, but Makaluapuna Point "Dragon's Teeth" is definitely worth the time, if you get a chance.
The Waihee Ridge Trail video link is not on the description.

Aloha! Thank you, great content! Mahalo!
In your trip around West Maui I did not see any mention of Hwy 340 which I read is not for the faint of heart

Where is that trail at the end of video, it looked awesome
Right off of Honoapiilani Highway (30). Just look for the windmills (not the ones on the reverse Hana loop).
I feel like this channel could have well over 1 million followers if he kept making videos.

Shaka Guide has a great tour on it's app for the West Maui Loop (Road to Hana and Haleakala too).
Sadly for me, ʻĪAO VALLEY STATE MONUMENT is close probably until February 2023.

Any chance anyone know of any self-guided waterfall tours in west Maui? I’m desperate to not pay $150.
Thanks in advance!
Lahiana just got wiped out by wildfires.
Don't turn your back to the ocean or blow holes when at the edge for selfies or whatnot. Safety first
YOU ALL SHOULD BE HELPING US PROTECT THE WATER AND ISLANDS INSTEAD OF TRAMPLING OVER EVERYTHING BY TRAVELING/MOVING HERE!!!!!!!
Great video but I think you mispronounced every since stop lol
so so wrong. south maui is far superior.
