I’m a relatively new data analyst that was put on a team of healthcare (population health) data scientists. Your channel and videos have helped me immensely. Thank you very much.

Cheer~~~the practice or science of collecting and analyzing numerical data in large quantities, especially for the purpose of inferring proportions in a whole from those in a representative sample.😊

First let me say I would never attempt what you clearly have-and have done beautifully overall-creating instructional video content in other than your first language. All things considered, you’ve done a superb job. That being said, I have a few concerns and one rather tricky suggestion. My concerns have to do with a few especially non-standard pronunciations. Let me focus on “contingency.” Students really must use and understand this word. If they first hear it in your video they will know neither the standard (RP) commonwealth nor the typical American pronunciation. I could give other examples, but I do not want to attack or discourage your work. I want to suggest having courageous native English speakers assist you. I imagine that you live in an English speaking country. Today, most of us exist in a minefield, forcing us to navigate an endless array of sociocultural offenses. Even by posting this comment I take a risk, but as a 4 decade veteran educator, I think it’s better to say something than nothing.
The “tricky suggestion” to which I referred is both in the asking and who to ask. I discovered this living and teaching English for 4 years in Korea and for 4 more in Germany.
First, good friends may be reluctant to tell you when your pronunciation is non-standard simply to avoid offending you and losing your friendship. They may find your accent endearing and your mistakes quite forgivable, totally missing the point. Other colleagues might tend to hesitate to correct you for fear of professional repercussions-and these are real concerns. Active students are always worried about stepping on our toes, so may tend to downplay such issues. On the other hand, recent graduates as well as friendly, conversational acquaintances might be truly helpful if asked sincerely and perhaps repeatedly.
My own tutorial students were among my best allies in improving my German and Korean-but they all wanted to focus on English, so that’s not ideal. Another avenue is actual English teachers and tutors, but I’d avoid them due to cost unless you can find one who will help just to be kind.
Many TH-camrs have second channels. You might post preliminary videos to such a second channel for these people to critique. This carries the added benefit of improving your English in live settings.
I hope you receive this in the friendly and constructive spirit it is intended.

Hi, many thanks for your feedback! Originally we started with a German channel and also posted the videos in English in between, but then we had a lot more views on the English videos, probably because of the greater reach, and we decided to make a new channel for the German videos and only post the English ones here. I don't think a second channel in english is possible, because then two very similar videos with the same language would be posted on two channels and that would be considered duplicated content by TH-cam, which I think is even forbidden. We are constantly striving to improve the videos in all areas, but of course we also have limited time resources, so unfortunately we can't move to an English-speaking country for a few years. So thank you for your feedback but unfortunately it is difficult to implement. Regards Hannah & Mathias
