Sir demand curve upward sloping normal goods se b hota hai na in case of Qno 12 (As in case of shift in demand curve , if income rises in normal goods then there is shift of demand curve upwards)
Law of demand fails in case of (a) Substitute goods (b) Complementary goods (c) Normal goods (d) Inferior goods Sir please tell me the answer as this question has created alot of confusion. Because normal and inferior goods r related to income... Plz explain
Inferior goods is correct answer Law of Demand states that there is inverse relationship between the prices and the quantity demanded provided that if other factors keep in constant. If prices of giffen goods decrease, it will not lead increment in their demand. Why? Actually there is already the poor section of society which already prefer them. High class sections don't prefer them. Decreasing the prices of giffen goods don't compel high class sections to buy them .
Qno9 ....x and y should be complementary... Because when we buy a car (eg. X)the demand of a car increases and also the demand of a petrol(Y).both will increase... If X and Y are substitute goods e.g, Pepsi(x) and Dew(y) how it's possible of increase both the goods at same time because demand of X will remain same and there is no need of demand for Y ... Kindly clear my doubt if IAM wrong
@@asha......5239 Complementary goods bear negative relation between each other...but the question says there is a positive relation between x and y which means if Price of X(tea)increases, demand of Y(coffee) will also increase.
