Hello, I usually don’t like reaction channels, but still game is special to me it has been near and dear to my heart since I was a toddler. I grew up watching this and I find it really awesome to see someone from outside of Scotland reacting to it, it’s great to watch these episodes along with you man. You have nice energy and vibes! " So he does, but she's no' in, so her MAN takes in the tea set.
WHOSE man took in the tea set? Barbara's man.

I know what you mean, my dad’s sister had a husband but she was extremely close to but he got killed in an accident in 1997😞
She’s never gone out with anybody else or remarried or anything like that because she was that close to him.
Life be hard sometimes. We are close to the people we are close to I can only imagine how hard it can be when there gone. I was very close to my dog and she is no longer around anymore and man I never felt the same man. Piece of me was gone that day. And I know sadly I could get another but atm cant. Srry to hear about your dad sister husband.

When Bobby drops that huge bottle of Whiskey, that reminds me of a scam we used to pull as kids. When there was a house party back in the 90s it was typical you brought stuff to share with everyone. Just bringing 4 cans would get you turned away at the door. lol. My and my cousin came up with an idea. We'd jump over the local pub wall, grab a large empty bottle of scotch, fill it with tea, like they do for TV, and add a small amount of whiskey to it. We'd have drank the rest of the whiskey and turned up to the party with 4 cans of strong lager each and this huge bottle of "whiskey". When the door opened we'd give them some patter how we had just stolen it from a local pub and just before handing it over "accidentally" drop it... Because it looked like whiskey and there was a few mouthfuls in it, it smelled like whiskey . We got in and never had to share a drop of our cans. In fact when the other guests got told what had happened we were getting loads of drinks. hahahahaha

Back in the sixties there was a show called The Likely Lads about two young guys just plying their trade and living. I was too young for that but the same two characters returned in 'Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads' in the 70's, meeting-up after their falling out. Jack and Victor remind me of a geriatric version of their characters.

The double decker buses are everyday buses across Glasgow
they are pretty cool we got them for tourist busses as trip around the city where a guy shows them like landmark places
The joke in the pub is that Springburn is another part of Glasgow not Ireland

The Scots word "Laird" means "lord" but more accurately translates as landlord or land owner or perhaps "squire".
The name of the bar would more likely in Scotland be " The Drouthy Laird " but a lot of this show was done in English with a very few Scots word so non Scots could understand the language.

See that charity shop. My mum n gran used to go in to find antiques etc way back years ago.
The bookies locarion was where I was born so my grandad used to sometimes gamble in there. His name was Tam as well. So who knows, maybe they sent in scouts to these locations to take notes. My granda Tam used to covet his money too and wore a bunnet or flat cap to you Yanks lol. So maybe just maybe Tam is based partly off my grandad.
But when I told him he said "shut up Antny".
P.S the location of the charity shop os in Clydebank shopping mall. It also featured a Chewin' the Fat Jack n Vick sketch.

Also do you watch ActionKid. Does tours of NY. I don't like the layout of the parkway by the Hudson. I hate overlooking bridges that destroy the ambiance with nouse pollution. NY needs weedkiller too. Too many cracks in streets with weeds coming up. Get it together!!

Winston and the kids were drinking alcopops, alcoholic drinks with slightly lower than average alcohol content and mixed with fruit juices to make them more pleasing to the taste buds and easier to drink. They were big in the 90s and there was a lot of public concern that they were being advertised directly to underage drinkers.

@bxkid7 The shop guys name is naveed harrid and the long and short of the convo is tht there was a man wanting to donate a tea set but instead of going to the shop she works in he went to her house and her husband went to the door
She met Elsa Clark in the doctors waiting room. Elsa has been diagnosed with angina and lives alone. Elsa told Isa that her daughter is working in Tesco (a UK supermarket chain) and her manager is Alec Wilson. Alec drinks too much and there was once a rumour that he was gay but this rumour was false. Alec has employed a boy to work on Saturdays. He's a nice boy with a lot of acne and is friendly with Norma Flynn's son Rab. One of Rab's hands is deformed and looks like a claw. As a result of this, other children used to call him Rab the crab. Rab has a girlfriend whose mother was getting rid of an old tea set left to her by her grandmother. The tea set was in good condition but she didn't need it so she decided to donate it to the charity shop. She gave the tea set to Rab to take to the shop where Barbara works. Rab then remembered that he actually knew Barbara's address because he cleans her husbands car. As her house was closer, he decided to just take the tea set there but Barbara wasn't home so he gave it to her husband.
This is one of my favourite episodes 👍

He is def up there as one of the funniest! I think one of the best parts of the show is that on any given episode a different characters shines bright. Mina be cracking me up on episodes lol

Nah scadoober is actually an alchopop called Bacardi breeezer. 2.4% alchohol. Compared to the actual 30 somethin% Rum spirit. The watermelon was my favorite as a kid then I moved onto the blue flavour of mad dog 20/20 when I was around 14-15yo..... I'm from glasgow btw loving your reactions!

I know this comment is late but I've been away on holiday haha and just catching up! "The two patter merchants from Craigbank." This always makes me laugh, these shopping scenes were filmed in Clydebank (a town about 10 miles west of Glasgow). I love how they're pretending to be from Craigbank to be a bit more posh, but Clydebank is a um....as someone from Clydebank I've got no other way of saying this but...a crap hole sometimes.
