@mile_high_topher yeah same actually lol. Just like the oil and chips they do a lot of these back roads with instead of blacktop. It's horror on paint/Clear coat but on fabric it might actually do less damage
This car is mostly only made for design and aerodynamics, it's not a practical daily driver. I love their ingenuity to create such an easy way to look at new body concepts.
Love the Gina...shame they never made some version of it...the changeable organic flowing ines are stunning., the opening lights becoming expressive eyes, give a machine an animalistic believable character. If it were fully electric and range limited for city use only it would still be sensational at any pricepoint.
Thanks for posting this! I watched a video on this car about 10 years ago and it wasn’t the best quality but to see this now in broad daylight just shows how unique this concept is.. now my only question is how do you even wash something like that!?

Why can't BMW keep evolving this style of design? If they made this into a "normal" car with a metal body it could easily be one of the best looking cars of the year

Love BMW. Have owned them for many years because they are sturdy vehicles. Excited to see what ends up in production but I wouldn’t want to be in an accident in one of these. 🤔

I’m a bit disappointed that you haven’t ever heard of or uttered the word Polyurethane (PU). It is a fairly common word. Gaining knowledge is fun, I also keep learning new things everyday which many times are already fairly standard knowledge in some countries.
I'm a BMW fan and I knew bout this car for the past 15yrs, but what you guys don't know that BMW has made 2 mide engine, V12 McLaren F1 BMW powered cars from the 90's and they are called the BMW Nazca M12 and the BMW Nazca C2. I feel most people get the wrong idea with cars like this, and concept cars in general. These are not meant to be functional or practical, theyre merely designed to demonstrate what car manufacturers are capable of and what the future of their brand could look like, no matter how outlandish their concept might be.
Okay this was definitly way too ahead of its time. Wow, this car really has a true lost tech kinda vibe. Amazing that I will ever say this. I think the colour changing feature probally will get adopted around 2030 for the highest class of BMW's obv and probaly with a simpler version like only certain parts can change for example the colour of some lines.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Still the aerodynamics, and the body shape is killer, the split windows give it the appearance of a vintage Chris craft.
This looks amazing but i dont know about wanting it after you showed the exoskeleton because if thats the only thing to protect me from car crashes, nuh uh.

The fact that it changes shape is fascinating. But the shape of that opening reminds me of something else.
