Hi Simon! What's the reason for "privately publishing" the coupon code?

Hey Clayton! The reason is that the coupon you create is just the template. AutomateWoo generates unique coupon codes each time the workflow runs. For example, if you create a coupon called “save20” and set it to privately published. Then, you use the autogenerate coupon feature in AutomateWoo when creating your workflow. When the workflow runs for John Doe his coupon code is “abcdef” but will have the same parameters as the “save20” coupon to save 20% on his order. When Kevin Does worfklow runs his coupon code is “xyzabc” but has same parameters as the “save20%” coupon. The coupon codes generate will not follow the format like “abcdef” but just an example. You also do not have to necessarily set the coupon as private but doing so does not allow your customers to use the template on your store. If you wanted to just use a coupon called “save20” to be available for all customers you could just add this coupon code in your workflow and not use the autogenerate coupon feature. Does this make sense?

Yes you would be able to do that using the Automate Woo and Birthdays add-on.

can we get this plugin through GPL??

    • @simongondeck

I am not sure. I believe you have to purchase both AutomateWoo (simongondeck.com/awoo) and AutomateWoo birthdays add-on (simongondeck.com/dzy) to use it. If you do not want to do that you could try finding another plugin or using custom code.
