The white. OMG. Every piece you pulled out was successful, I just can’t get over the simple beauty of that clay body with the white. It’s so much fun watching your kiln unloadings!
My (electric) kiln's name is Senior Pantelonas del Fuego. It always fires lower than where I set it. I always thought that if someone was into Pokémon, electric and fire type Pokémon would make good kiln names. Famous dragons would be another good theme. I think what is important is that YOU are amused by their names. Awesome outcomes.
pete strong blue was very running when we tested it on actual pots so be ware of how thick you apply! we also did the yellow salt and it’s so buttery and pretty! love it
You could name your kilns off the coffee theme...Nitro, Bean Roaster, Hot Barista, Beanie, JavatheHut (if you like coffee and star wars), BeanBox, Perky, Pineapple Espresso, Al Cappuccino, Bean Affleck, Brew Berrymore, Bean-yonce... so many good options :)
Our studio uses petes cranberry a lot. It breaks really well over pottery, the thicker you glaze it the redder it becomes. When it is thinner it becomes that grey color. I made a set of plates with it- super cool breaks over the slip marks.
I have a really awesome Titanium Blue glaze I just made today after glaze testing about 50 tiles. It's going to cover most of my lidded pots as well as my mugs. I'll have to do some Marble testing to see how it flows over my high iron/porcelain. It's a cooper red base with 4 percent titanium. It's my favorite glaze I've both seen and made.
Gorgeous examples! I look for, well: Tall Cylindrical Tea Cup/Mug (no handle)… I suppose they could be really big saki if you sip slowly. 😁 I saw one come out of the kiln, I think, will look for it. 🌼

Big fan of Pete’s Cranberry. We had that at the late great Artistry clay program in Bloomington. It does need reduction to get the red.
