Thanks for a thorough room tour in detail. I am planning to go in December. Does the room come with those full large bottles of wine as part of their all inclusive stay?
Hello there. Thanks for watching and writing. It's not "loud" all the time. Yes, there is noise because it's close to the airport, but you hear it on big plane landings and takeoffs. I found that the sounds weren't distracting and part of the charm of staying near Maho Beach. Big planes don't start landing until after 9 a.m. and usually stop around 5 p.m., so there are no worries about interrupting nighttime sleep. I was able to take a nap at the adults-only pool without being awakened as well.
Hello and thanks for asking. There was not a hot tub at the Edge Pool and I don't remember one at the Point Pool. I think there may have been a hot tub area at the All Ages area. It stays warm here so I'm not sure if it was an oversight or just a design choice. Thanks for the comment. Sorry it took a while to respond.
Good job! Like the Picture in Picture. My crew and I will be there mid January for my 58th. Got the swim out. Can you give more info on local entertainment and/food at the resort? Any and all information appreciated.
Hey there. Thanks for watching! The resort is all-inclusive, so all food and drink are included except for a supplement or two. We enjoyed all of the selections on the Adults only side. There was Italian, Mediterranean, and more. The buffet was excellent for lunch (that was for both sides of the resort). Azul, on the adult side, has a breakfast buffet, and it is adorable. If you are going in January, most of the places outside of the resort will be open. There are other dining options if you want to pay, but I'd say the food is lovely at the Sonesta. You can save your money unless you are going around the island and would like to try some local fare. We went to the French side for a bit, and there are some great spots there. Check out the bakeries for breakfast and lunch if you are going to rent a car or take a taxi. There's also a casino across the street. We didn't go, but we aren't big gamblers. It's pretty popular. Every night, there is something to do on-site. There's either a band, silent disco, karaoke, or something interactive to do. There are other activities on the strip outside and in Phillipsburg. I hope you have a wonderful trip. Happy early birthday!
The shower wand you have to pull in and out to switch between the two, was just there for my honeymoon.

Is it loud being so close to the airport?

Thank you. Just got back last week from Punta, Cana and already planning next April‘s trip. Your TH-cams were very informative, thank you.
