Fact is, Jimmy Fallon's show has higher ratings because of the show writers and planners not because of the unfunny and fake host.

This segment has completely forgotten its purpose. The whole point was to focus on the games themselves and show how CLUELESS Conan is about them. That dynamic between Aaron being the "nerd" who knows the game inside out and Conan being the "clueless celebrity clown" was what made this sketch so great and appealing. Seeing what conan as a non gamer/outsider had to say about things that go on the screen was always unexpected, fascinating and simply hilarious.
Now with each episode it's just 2/3 celebrity clowns making silly jokes that have nothing to do with the game and the game itself is hardly even shown. This is not much different than a regular interview on the show (and no, I have nothing against the show, I actually love it). Imagine if in Seinfeld all 4 characters were Kramer like, how ridiculous would that be?
