SO, I was told I can take the song file of whatever song I wanna cover, drop it into logic, and use smart tempo to have Logic create a tempo map that matches the song automatically? How do I do this? Will it mess with my drum tracks that I record into that project afterwards? I really only do 2 things in Logic: 1. Create a tempo map for the song, 2. Use flex time to edit the drum tracks, then send it out to get mixed by someone else.
i recorded all my piano at the wrong metronome setting. How to do I keep the tempo of what I've recorded (midi) the same, but now change the tempo of the project so I can continue to record things at the desired tempo but no affect what I've already recorded?
I’m sorry but you lost me. I have an Apple loop beat that exists at 170 bmp. I want to import it into my project (which is 80 bpm) and keep the Apple loop at 170. But when I import it, it conforms to 80 bpm. I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out and no matter what I do, I can’t make that loop stay at 170. Can you give me the Dummies explanation of how to do this please? Thank you!
Hi. First of all thank you. ! When I 'record'/play using 'adapt' logic hears it as double tempo. Even if I play a chord in 1/4 nodes, say in round 80, logic set the time as 160. ??? Kindly Carsten
Not sure why you would want to turn everything off, but if you set Logic to KEEP mode, disable all Flex & Follow options in Smart Tempo Settings and select "do not show tthis message again" the next time you see the Import tempo information dialog, you should be good.
Thank you for the well done and concise treatment of this topic.
Helpful, thank you!
Thanks! You took something complex and made it very easy to understand
