Think of the sewing machines she bought for school lessons 💀 She said herself that these machines were extremely expensive AND she paid for them with her OWN money!!! And there were at least 10 of them 💀
An sewing machine can cost up to 8000 bucks... 80000 bucks in total then.... That's an average yearly salary for most people... I am talking about the Bernina 790 PRO. Bernina cheapest is 200. There are rarely a Bernina that costs 500 bucks. Most are in fact over the thousands for those claiming Bernina doesn't exist. It does and the most expensive one is over 9000. So I rounded up at 8000. Also some Bernina's costs 16,499 dollars. Others merely 10 k bucks.
@@absolutebeauty7753 And considering how she so graciously donated it, i'm willing to bet this wasn't all her money. At an absolute max maybe 30% of her salary tops. probably less. One gem being particularly valuable doesn’t make them all valuable. Maud said most of those gems were common and worthless. And a sale every ten minutes isn’t even that realistic for a fast food restaurant, let alone a custom dress shop when rarity has confirmed she isn’t into mass production.
Maybe she just doesn’t check her pre-orders till it goes on the market and her website is set up for a new order to only go on the system every 10 minutes, equestria is massive and the shipping costs should be low cause of pegasi, also, I doubt many people in equestria are poor so more people would be willing to splash out for luxury goods. Celestia is a benevolent and responsible ruler, she most definitely has some sway on minimum wage law, and she’s old enough to have an understanding of most everything going on in equestria, people in such a state of stability should be thriving.
3 yards of fabric for a single dress is a vast underestimate. Look at all those ruffles and layers. Expecially if she cuts on the bias it will take at least 10. Also, ponies irl are still bigger than humans. A large pony at 14hh is like 900lbs. A medium pony is still like 500lbs.
@@TheRedStinger82 RainbowDash and Applejack would have that issue there competitive and stubborn. I see Applejack going I can still turn this around after losing everything
I’ll be honest. It’s really genuinely impossible to accurately calculate the monetary system of mlp. Because the cost of something is based off of the rarity of materials, cost of labor, and demand. In a world where crystals are everywhere, the labor of a unicorn compared to an earth pony being so drastically different from each other, and the demand of clothes also being different thanks to nudity being completely socially acceptable, all of this makes it nearly impossible to accurately value individual items we don’t have known values for. Like how much rent is or how much celestia’s crown is worth, things like that.
The most expensive outfit worn by Taylor Swift on tour is a $13K dress, so that's probably a better price to assign to Sapphire Shore's costume. The show made references to Chanel, so I assume Rarity's brand is equivalent to Chanel. Chanel red carpet dresses are $25K-$100K, so Rarity's are probably in that range.
I know but you don't see Taylor Swift sticking the equivalent of hundreds of rare cut diamonds and other gems onto her stuff. I'd say the most that is used is probably swarvoski crystals which isn't too much in comparison to literally diamonds
Twilights a princess though, and if the royal family is equivalent to that in really life then twilight would probably be rich as well, idk about her being richer than rarity but she probably definitely isn’t lacking
@@bri2481 She's a new princess. At the end of the series she inherits the royal family's wealth as the reigning princess, but before then she only has what she herself is worth (and maybe money sent to her by her family who fans seem to agree are at least low nobility).
@@devonm042690new princess or nah, i feel like she’s a nepo baby, her brother is ruling the Crystal Empire along with Cadence and he’s also the captain of the royal guard. Dunno abt her parents, but i feel like they should have some cash if they sent her to one of the greatest schools(?). And twilight is doing research for Celestia(pretty much) she prolly receives a good amount of money. ~buut lets not forget is just a show for kids~
There's no way she makes that much. She would be the richest pony ever. Probably has more money than Celestia at that point. She could literally create the pony version of space x and go to the planet Mares. lol
If Rarity is making that, it’s pretty obvious princesses will have more 💀 especially celestia and luna, twilight is a different case however, we see her take spike bed shopping, that would usually be very expensive, although she likely gets discounts due to her title, Candence however, is likely either just as or richer than Rarity, considering their currency is likely to be much more accessible. Also considering she usually, if not only, sells to wealthy ponies (most wealthy ponies able to attend royal gala’s) they’re likely to pay lots of money, also taking into account how little ponies actually wear clothing outside of the crystal empire and canterlot, twilight never wore clothes while she lived in canterlot, and considering she was attending celestia’s school, her parents must be rather wealthy, it’s likely Rarity is just rich compared to common ponies, celestia is likely to be the richest pony, so it’s not actually that far fetched.
Probably not needed. Fluttershy seems to be the local equivalent of Animal Control. Anything from escaped Cerberus to a giant fire breathing dragon messing up the air quality is her job busy default. And as a one woman operation it’s safe to say Fluttershy can claim a good chunk of Ponyvilles budget by herself.
2:37 there’s actually a funny geologist joke here. That olive green rock looks just like peridot, a gem who was thought lost in history (probably grouped together with emerald) and the island that house the mines was lost for hundreds of years to then be rediscovered in the 1900. The thing is that the earth mantle is mostly peridotite, that’s like 80% of earth volume is that gem, which is why it’s common in volcanic areas, but we are practically walking on a molten peridot geode
Yeah but remember that equestria probably has like 10% holding 90% of the wealth considering canterlot and nobles are a thing and boy does canterlot like its clothes.
The show makes it clear her dresses are quality over quantity given how disgusted she was at the idea of automating the sowing process, how she tries to brand herself as a fancy fashionista who designs original dresses for the elite, and her perfectionist personality. So it would make sense her niche is selling a few expensive dresses from time to time and taking orders from wealthy clients for custom dresses. When you consider 90% of the population is naked it makes sense. Clothing is a luxury not a necessity. Ponies would rathe be naked than buy bad clothing, and the typical clothed pony has money to spare. So she should lean into that.
Since the show was made in Canada, the total would actually be between $47,557,510,659.60 and $47,557,536,159.60. Canadian teachers are paid more than American teachers, and since Rarity is a specialist (rather than a general subjects teacher like Cheerilee), she would be paid more than the average.
Yup. Specifically it was made by the Vancouver-based DHX Studios. That's why most of the actors in the series (including all of the Mane 6's actors) are Canadian.
Plus when apple cider season comes around they prob earn a ton with that line they have like the line stretches so big its still there when the sun goes down
Every time teacher salaries are brought up, I'm reminded of that one conversation with my highschool math teacher. One of the students told her that he would like to become a teacher. She told him that, in that case, he needs to try to marry rich.
That stereotype of teachers being underpaid wouldn't really apply here. MLP:FiM was produced in Canada, where teachers make up to $120k per year. It would still be a drop in the bucket compared to her dressmaking, though.
I mean what did you expect? Twilight owns whole freaking equestria so shes obviously rich, rarity just got leaked, apple jack owns a whole farm, rainbow dash works for the bestest air fighters in equestria, flutter shy litterly feeds whole forest and pinky pie is royal party planner/ she can afford to give every pony she knows a party whenever they want They all r rich
With all that work, no wonder Rarity started going grey first out of the six. Now here comes the sad part, how much does she pay in taxes? Loved the vid Star Strike, you earned my thumbs up and like. 😃
she doesn't pay taxes. SHE IS TAXES. think about it, she's freinds with every princess, is likely richer than everyone else, and doesn't super look like she's rich unless she is doing stuff with the rich. she AT LEAST paid for the school of freindship. think about it, she would likely take 1 look at the salary of the teachers and then fund them herself beucase, "no pony should live with that few bits"
I'm surprised that for a society that walks around naked, clothing actually makes a profit. Whilst I struggle finding an IT job in a world where everything is run by computers.
Imagine what future Rarity could have with all that! She and Sweetie could use a big mansion for their hard work. But i'm thinking she already loves her boutique a lot. Love your warrior clothing Star!
Wow around 10 billion dollars rarity made and only 40 million she pays for her business!so much for the element of generosity, I hope she use the money for good like for charity or helping ponies
@@AnAuthenticLife She was originally supposed to be the element of inspiration, but the creators thought the target audience wouldn't understand what inspiration was so they changed it.
5:19 I would disagree slightly with the 6K estimate for that, for one reason, they could have double the output, to lower the velocity of the air at the exit, because you don’t want a dry your pet, with a 100 MPH wind. you may want to use maybe like a leaf blower speed about 30-50mph instead, it would be safer for the animal, and more efficient, and economical for the consumer.
Can you figure out how Twilight makes money as a princess? Because I know the other princesses have taxpayer money, but Twilight doesn't have a kingdom
I think I would go with germs mostly not being worth much in Equestria, not with them making up the bulk of the outfit cost. Maybe the CMCs just rented the pet dryer for an hour. 7:20 Ooh, magic dress!
What I'm getting from this is that Equestria has much more _stable_ currencies than we do... currencies that hold their value 😂 Ah, Equestria... A land with no monetary inflation....
Especially when it comes to Gems and crystals because they clearly have a lot more of them than we have our world to the point that they seem almost worthless.
I think it's safe to assume she is among the best Hide & Seek players alongside Trixie and entirety of Griffonstone - they play it with the IRS every day
This video was crazy awesome it was fun seeing the numbers rise to crazy heights with how much Rarity makes. I nearly lost my mind went i saw the final amount. Maybe one day for a part two to this video we add in sales from the books and comics just so we can see Rarity reach the Trillions. Awesome video Star Strike it was a lot of fun to watch!!!!
With Rarity finding gems with ease, the value of those common gems can be as high as gemstones in real life. If we knew what the dresses were made of, we'd know their value. It does seem that Rarity has very expensive taste with possibly silk, satin, pure cotton and other good quality fabrics. She could easy profit from any rough gem if she hires a gem cutter. The problem is that Rarity is not a mineralogist, that's Maud's expertise. Regardless of the true value of Rarity's gems and materials, keep in mind that she represents generosity so she would reduce the cost of dresses so that the average mare can afford them. She might save time and money if she could teleport herself and her belongings if she took extensive lessons from Twilight and Starlight. With the money Rarity has (not including local taxes and bills) she must be richer than the princesses of Equestria. Next up, how many acres of apples does the apple family grow?
Who knows. Maybe Rarity hired Maud off-screen to 1: spend time with Maud. And 2: Mauds good with rocks. (So is Rarity. But let's say Maud is better at appraising gems than Rarity.) And Rarity probably has someone cut the gems into the perfect spheres and such we see. She also probably pays Maud so much that Maud doesn't really need to work besides when Rarity asks her if she'd be able to assist. And she probably is paid enough to pay for her family. Who live on a rock farm... so why haven't they gone under and lost it? Pinkie and most likely Rarity paying Maud.
You're assuming that the price of concrete and machinery are the same in a world of magic unicorns as it is in our world and that the value of gems in Equestria is determined by size alone. I'm also not sure that that those symbols on the cash register represent the numbers you've said when Equestria seems to have its own written language, nor do I think she's making a sale every 10 minutes since I feel like she doesn't do enough work/enough employeets to produce that many dresses to sell. That very episode with the Princesss Dress was all ABOUT how mass production is not Rarity's thing.
Tbh I doubt she makes that much. She's the element of generosity and we see her make dresses for free many times, and she probably doesn't actually charge for how much they're truly worth. So that added with the points you made... yeah, there's a lot of stretching happening here
I think all these numbers are wildly inflated. Take the ponyville boutique operating hours for example. You use a 6 day per week schedule, when it'll probably only be open a few hours every other Tuesday. Rarity spends much of her time socializing, sewing, and jem hunting along with saving equestria in her free time.
Great episode! Love the enthusiasm! ♡ My only real issue with this is the over estimation of the worth of the gems on each piece. Even though they don't give defined names to the gem, the tiny red gem that could buy an industrial pet dryer would be close to that of a red beryl, where as the larger red and blue gems are more common rubies and sapphires. The red beryl, with its cut, color and clarity, since carat can't be determined, but, given its handled by Rarity, we can assume it's close to a full carat, it would be worth close to $9000 alone. While the large rubies and sapphires would be about $4000 each. The smaller rounded gems of rubies, sapphires, and likely yellow jasper with the gold trimming would roughly be $500-800 apiece. So on the 400 gem garment we have 30 large gems (rubies and sapphires), 34 if you count the 4 medium sized ones on the hind legs, and the rest can be averaged out to $650 per gem. So, we take the 34 gems at $4000/gem= 136k Then we take the 366 small gems at $650/gem= 237k So, this gem encrusted elvis inspired piece is roughly worth an astonishingly low $378,000, marked up to $450,000(plus tax) for profit margins. The math isn't wrong, and she is making a TON of money regardless, but using the super rare tiny gem as the basis for all the math does give quite a difference in cost.
BBB Hot Take: G5 would've had a more interesting story if the main antagonist was a changeling (and by proxy Misty would be one as well). I think a plot about him trying to sacrifise pony-kind to bring his long-dead kind back, and to spite Twilight specifically. I mean just thinm about it. There are no changelings in G5, and him being the only surviving member of a forgotten race that starved to death because of a byproduct of something they never had anything to do with is just so grimmdark and tragic, and someone who genuinely believed in love and helping each other, only to be burned, betrayed and abandoned in the worst possible way, even if it wasn't intentional, is one metal sobstory
Great Video. My only potential nitpick is that it doesn't consider how many dresses Rarity could feasibly be making. We have multiple instances suggesting she probably is not able to make all the orders she could receive if she hired additional seemstresses. During season 1 Suited For Success, Hoity Toity requests a dozen of each of the dresses, or sixty dresses in total, made for the fashion show by "next Thursday." Rarity looks nervous/anxious at the request, suggesting it was rather an ask. She could already have been full on requests, but given she was not very well known at the time, it would mean that her max capacity for number of dresses was not very high, and that number would not go up just because her number of stores does. Similarly with the whole group working together in Rarity Takes Manehattan they are able to make 8 dresses in a night. We also know that Rarity must not always be fully booked, either by choice or demand, because she uses some of her time to make outfits as gifts, things like the CMC's outfits for their school play, or last minute spending three days on Cadances wedding dress, suggesting she had no orders for that time period. I would guess that Rarity is usually able to make 5/6 dresses per day up to about 10 when she throws work/life balance out of the window. That would still be a ridiculous amount of money she'd be making, but she simply would not have the time to be making as many dresses as she'd have potential orders later in the series.
in Rarity Takes Manehattan, Rarity's Hotel Chic Fashion Line of four dress is created by the entire main six in one setting afternoon till dawn or at best 18 hours. That's 108 pony hours of labor across 4 dresses or about 27 pony hours per dress. Making her Chic unique and Magnifique dresses take at least 1 per day UNOIQUE outfit. While according to CoutureNotebook. a typical High Courture dress can take up to 700 hours to create and e generally costs between $40,000-80,000 making a pace of 1 per day magical.
Idk, man. I don’t think the scribbles on that cash register were meant to be real numbers. It’s not like the ponies were coming in with giant bags of 200000 bits to pay for those dresses.
True. And who knows. Maybe the gems she doesn't get to sell she gives to spike for free. She knows that he loves it when she gives him gifts and she has him help her sometimes when collecting gems. So she probably gives him the gems she doesn't sell or sew into dresses.
New star strike video after so long.... But I mean, this one was basically a film theory video (not exactly but similar run time and similar kinda of subject) No wonder it took so long, great job.
15:50 however Rarity is the element of generosity - she would pay her people a lot more to work for her - look at what she gives Spike and he doesn't work for her (heck knowing Spike he would work for her for 1 kiss a day )
9:26 I thought those bits were given to Pinkie from Twilight? Which would likely start up a completely different conversation of whether or not Princess Twilight collected taxes at the time.
Very impressive math here! I also think something to consider is that barter is still very common in Equestria. So for the tiny red gem being worth so much; a pony could have had an industrial drier but they needed the red gem. Especially since gems in this world can have magical properties
Well I always figured she was loaded. But it’s nice to know how loaded she is to afford all the finery she likes to show off. Now to solve the greatest mystery of all……what exactly is Fluttershy’s day job?
She's a vet. Quite explicitly shown she helps the vet. Who knows. She probably helps other ponies take care of their pets when they're busy. Now for her income? Rarity. Definitely Rarity. It's in character for Rarity to give flutters money. Flutters is also probably the one Rarity has care for Opalescent. By that I mean Opalescents grooming and such. Rarity probably pays flutters a ton for that. And donates a ton to flutters under an anonymous identity so flutters can't just return the money because she'd definitely give it back with her reasoning being "I can't accept such a large amount"
Maybe everything costs so much in the show because of INFLATION(and I mean the money kind). And I thought Scrooge mcduck was rich, he’s still a pauper compared to rarity
This was a fun one. Who knows, maybe those famous ponies that buy her dresses make billions. Canterlot is also where most of the nobles of Equestria live and nobles might mean even more billion making ponies. We do have Prince Blue blood who is a literal prince so he might as well own a part of Equestria's economy and other ponies like Fancy Pants. Plus she seems to have almost no rival (Maybe Polomare at some point) in this business and the clothing industry makes billions alone so she owns that market.
makes me think how specifically the mane six made money to afford things like food, rent, travelling, etc. Pinkie pie works for the cakes and I think thats her source of income unless they just let her work there so all her paychecks go towards rent. Applejack has the apple farm. Rarity has the boutique. Rainbow dash could get paid to deal with the weather. Celestia probs pay twilights bills but im not sure about fluttershy. (Im referring to their possible jobs in season 1 only)
Love this vid! Though there is one thing that I think you forgot. So you said she only has to play 5 employees in two locations, but she also has to pay for all the rocks for the clothing, the two cash registers, plus taxes on everything, power bills for three places (her home, and the two stores) all the manikins she uses, then she has to pay for the sewing machines she uses, and taxes on that, then at some point she either have to replace some of the stuff she needs, plus travel, and she has to sport herself and Sweetie Belle. Love your vids, Star!
I agree. But Rarity seems like the type of person who would submit most of her profits to charity and overpay her employees to heck and back. A, la tom nook.
First off, I very much enjoyed the video and appreciate the work put into it. I don't watch much MLP stuff anymore, but this was fun I suspect (as I suspect the video creator does too) that the figures are overestimated at several points, most likely the average base value of a dress, possibly the average value of a gem, and almost certainly the number of dresses sold. The figures we end up with don't seem to pass the gut check, which indicates to me that we're likely extrapolating too much from outliers which happened to be more expensive (and, in the case of the store busyness, busier) than the actual average I also suspect that Equestria probably has fairly steep taxes, especially in higher income brackets, so I'd probably take off 50% minimum from the net profit, but likely closer to 90%, though she may get to write off charitable donations, which would obviously affect this. I tend to be negative on taxes irl, but I think the situation is fuzzier in MLP due to differences in Pony psychology and Equestrian culture I also agree with other commenters who pointed out that she would likely be donating a lot of the profits, and paying her employees significantly above the average not just because of her generosity, but also because she's running a very high-end business and would want to attract the best of the best salesponies, even at the lowest level. I'd probably double the estimate of what she's paying them _at a minimum_
Well don’t forget Rarity has travel, food, school (for sweetie bell) and events expense. Also i belive Rarity would pay for her employees a higher salary
Okay first off… YESH I thought the Film Theory on Scrooge surprised me on how rich a cartoon character was but I never expected Rarity of all characters to be THIS set! And second, how about a theory on who might be related by blood from gens 4 to 5? Also glad to see you back.
1:30 if you're not going to try to calculate the gems price based on their real life prices then why calculate the cost of the industrial machine. Wouldnt it also possibly be priced differently in the pony world
She's totally running sweatshops in Indoneighsia to make this much product. Then once the raw dresses make it to Equestria, she bedazzles them and makes any additional tweaks. Why she made the Princess Dress all by herself, I do not know.

Yeah, this seems like a more realistic estimate.
I know but you don't see Taylor Swift sticking the equivalent of hundreds of rare cut diamonds and other gems onto her stuff. I'd say the most that is used is probably swarvoski crystals which isn't too much in comparison to literally diamonds
Your forgetting the gem cost, it'll be 3x it
*lol* Taylor Swift

Course that brings up the question of how much the rent for that location is considering there’s practically a night club above it.
I think that rarity is just secretly rich, I mean how else can twilight afford those playsets?
Twilights a princess though, and if the royal family is equivalent to that in really life then twilight would probably be rich as well, idk about her being richer than rarity but she probably definitely isn’t lacking

There's no way she makes that much. She would be the richest pony ever. Probably has more money than Celestia at that point. She could literally create the pony version of space x and go to the planet Mares. lol
Clever joke
She could send Princess Luna back to the moon!

The thing is that the earth mantle is mostly peridotite, that’s like 80% of earth volume is that gem, which is why it’s common in volcanic areas, but we are practically walking on a molten peridot geode
You figure with %90 of the population being naked all the time she be poor. This is surprising
Yeah but remember that equestria probably has like 10% holding 90% of the wealth considering canterlot and nobles are a thing and boy does canterlot like its clothes.
Rarity herself also wears nothing most of the time. I guess ponies only wear clothes on formal occasion or career related
@@thangfahsavung9120canterlot ponies and manehattan ones wear clothes majority of the time
The show makes it clear her dresses are quality over quantity given how disgusted she was at the idea of automating the sowing process, how she tries to brand herself as a fancy fashionista who designs original dresses for the elite, and her perfectionist personality.
Yet there’s Manehatten where ponies dress up.
It would be around 47,557,416,159.6 - 47,557,438,571.6 dollars if we added the average teachers salary in the us.
I appreciate you doing the math and covering my blind spot 😆
My brain hurts now.
Since the show was made in Canada, the total would actually be between $47,557,510,659.60 and $47,557,536,159.60. Canadian teachers are paid more than American teachers, and since Rarity is a specialist (rather than a general subjects teacher like Cheerilee), she would be paid more than the average.

And also you could say rarity is a billionaire superhero because remember she was radiance in the power ponies episode of mlp
Considering what I've heard about teacher salaries, that's probably just a drop in the bucket for her
Every time teacher salaries are brought up, I'm reminded of that one conversation with my highschool math teacher.
18:06 The fact that this amount would still only make her the 26th richest person in the world is so depressing.

Well, we can assume that that particular red gem was very expensive, and that industrial blower was old and/or on sale.
17:45 ALLLLLL THE MONEY
This impressive. All that calculating and checking over nine seasons. If you are grossly over-estimating, Rarity is still outrageously rich.
This took some time didn’t it and wow that number is just wow
This took sooo long!
I'm not making any more math based theories for a while lol 😄
Keep in mind that Hasbro itself is worth $8.39 billion. Meaning she could buy the entire company, and still have $38 billion left.
Rarity spends much of her time socializing, sewing, and jem hunting along with saving equestria in her free time.
so that's how twilight managed to afford the school of friendship. rarity payed for it with 0.1% of her yearly income.
So, we take the 34 gems at $4000/gem= 136k
Then we take the 366 small gems at $650/gem= 237k
So, this gem encrusted elvis inspired piece is roughly worth an astonishingly low $378,000, marked up to $450,000(plus tax) for profit margins.
While according to CoutureNotebook. a typical High Courture dress can take up to 700 hours to create and e generally costs between $40,000-80,000
making a pace of 1 per day magical.
6:18 bro regretted wanting to count those gems
As a huge fan of Rarity, this is possibly my favourite fan video ever about her. Great job.
Idk, man. I don’t think the scribbles on that cash register were meant to be real numbers. It’s not like the ponies were coming in with giant bags of 200000 bits to pay for those dresses.
She also has a side hustle of selling gems probably, because she goes out and gathers her OWN gems
15:50 however Rarity is the element of generosity - she would pay her people a lot more to work for her - look at what she gives Spike and he doesn't work for her (heck knowing Spike he would work for her for 1 kiss a day )
Rarity and Scrooge are the richest cartoon characters ever made. Change my mind.
Star Strike being our my little pony math teacher😭😭💀💀
You're welcome
If teachers are paid anything close to what they make in real life then I don't think it makes much difference lol.
Perhaps the reason why poneies pay and have so much money is because equestria has high inflation, maybe you should do a vid on that
Maybe everything costs so much in the show because of INFLATION(and I mean the money kind).
6:18 was hilarious because of the reaction to the number of gems on the outfit
makes me think how specifically the mane six made money to afford things like food, rent, travelling, etc.
Rarity always talks about how she'd love a castle like Twilight's castle. GIRL, JUST BUY YOURSELF A CASTLE, YOU'RE SO RICH!
I agree. But Rarity seems like the type of person who would submit most of her profits to charity and overpay her employees to heck and back. A, la tom nook.
First off, I very much enjoyed the video and appreciate the work put into it. I don't watch much MLP stuff anymore, but this was fun
I suspect (as I suspect the video creator does too) that the figures are overestimated at several points, most likely the average base value of a dress, possibly the average value of a gem, and almost certainly the number of dresses sold. The figures we end up with don't seem to pass the gut check, which indicates to me that we're likely extrapolating too much from outliers which happened to be more expensive (and, in the case of the store busyness, busier) than the actual average
I also suspect that Equestria probably has fairly steep taxes, especially in higher income brackets, so I'd probably take off 50% minimum from the net profit, but likely closer to 90%, though she may get to write off charitable donations, which would obviously affect this. I tend to be negative on taxes irl, but I think the situation is fuzzier in MLP due to differences in Pony psychology and Equestrian culture
I also agree with other commenters who pointed out that she would likely be donating a lot of the profits, and paying her employees significantly above the average not just because of her generosity, but also because she's running a very high-end business and would want to attract the best of the best salesponies, even at the lowest level.
