I watched the show for the first time tonight and I really enjoyed it. I'm liked that it's fast pace and covers a lot of ground, instead of including long build-ups and long-exits. In and out without regret. The visuals are outstanding. Remembering a picture can say a thousand words, such a compilation of photos, videos and graphics really filled out the stories and the dialogue. John McGivern does a great job.... take funny to the edge of silly and it works great. Very very entertaining. I'' be back for sure.... time well spent.
I grew up in LS, but there's just 1 problem. He said it was 2 miles EAST of Lake Michigan. Sorry pal, but its WEST. If it was 2 miles east of the lake, it would be in Michigan.
Lol. Dude got the location wrong in first 30 seconds... it's 2 miles WEST of the lake. Js. Makes me not want to watch the rest of it, as a 25 year resident of LS
"iTs VeRy DiVeRsE" it shouldn't be it was founded by Germans. That's the trouble with Chicago, every "ethnic neighborhood" isn't the ethnicity it began as. Swedish, German, Bohemian, Polish, Italian, Greek, you name it, it changed. There's diversity then there's chaos.
Loved this!! We moved to Lincoln Square in 1994, same year that Timeless Toys opened.

I miss Chicago. Alley surfing. The lake. Nancy's Pizza.
I grew up here and still live near! I love this video! Thank you
Thanks. Well Done!
Was just going to say, two miles east of lake michigan? Someone beat me to it 😀
Glad Emily Fink is part of this program too.
McGivern is no beginner on the guitar... I saw those pickin' fingers
Leaving the commercials in, at the start and finish, is annoying.
Now, about 7 minutes in, he talks about Welles Park but then shows an aerial view of RIVER PARK, about a mile away 🙄 🙄
