My best memory as a die hard Benfica fan is when I was at the Benfica 5-1 Fulham pre season game 2 years ago, and after the game I was able to get a Rui Costa and Roger Schmidt autograph, in the exchange of appearing 15 minutes live on TV half naked 😅 / or the time I, because i played in a Benfica football school, got the opportunity of entering the stadium packed with 60k people and shake that big thing in the centre half of the pitch. Both incredible moments for me hahaha
@@TreyDrechsel5 no haha, when the players and coaches were handing out autographes, outside of the stadium, in order to get one I had to take my shirt off to give it to them, and because at the time I wasn't in very good shape appearing live on TV shirtless I feel it was a fair price to pay for the autographes hahahah (writing half naked was a bit of an exaggeration, not gonna lie)
It all began when I attended my first Benfica basketball game back in 2013 (I think). I was a kid then, just discovering my love for the sport. The excitement in the arena, the energy of the fans, and the sheer skill of the players captivated me instantly. From that moment on, I was hooked. My mom noticed my newfound passion and got me a official tshirt of Benfica. It quickly became my favorite piece of clothing, something I wore to every game I attended. At one of the games, I decided to bring the jersey along, hoping to get it signed by one of the players. After the game, I nervously approached the seats close to the court. To my surprise and delight, one of the star players, Betinho Gomes noticed me and came over. He not only signed the jersey but also chatted with me for a few moments, encouraging me to keep coming to the games. That interaction meant the world to me, and it sparked an idea: I would try to get every player who wore the Benfica jersey to sign mine. Over the years, I made it a tradition. Every time I went to a game, I’d stay late or arrive early, waiting for a chance to add another signature. By the time Benfica won the LPB championship in 2014, my jersey was covered with signatures from some of the players of the squad. It wasn’t just the stars who signed it, from the starting five to the bench players, made their mark. Each signature represented a memory, a game, or a moment where I felt connected to the team. The jersey became a symbol of my journey as a Benfica fan. Every time I wore it, I felt like I was part of the team, like I was carrying a piece of Benfica history with me. It saw countless victories, a few heartbreaking losses, and some unforgettable moments, like the time we clinched the title against FC Porto in that electrifying 2014 final. I remember standing in the arena, the jersey proudly on my back, as the team lifted the championship trophy. The roar of the crowd, the confetti falling, and the sight of the players celebrating is something I’ll never forget. That jersey, now a bit faded and worn, still hangs in my room but I still take it to the games. I got also the pleasure to get your signature and I hope it gives you luck and meaning like it gives to me. it’s a collection of memories, a testament to my love for Benfica basketball, and a reminder of the incredible journey we’ve been on together. Whenever I look at it, I’m transported back to those games, to the cheers of the fans, and to the thrill of watching my team play their hearts out. BIG LOVE TO U THAT PLAYS WITH HEART TO MY DEAR BENFICA!!! KEEP HUSTLING FOR US.
Thrilled to have you renew with benfica, we loved you here. When i was a kid i started playing basketball for the benfica minibasket sub10 team and i remember having the tournments in the same pavilhão where the pros played and watching their games after and having my kid teammates and my coach all start chants for the pros was such a great feeling and its something you only see at that level in the pavilhao fidelidade and estadio da luz because of how passionate every fan is out of the womb!
One of the best basketball player profile on TH-cam. Keep grinding and enjoy. Those Benfica jersey looks great. You need to repeat give away. Benfica beat Partizan in 1995/1996 in a win or go home game (euro league qualification) Its was one of the hardest loses for Partizan Belgrade especially because that was their first international basketball game after 3-4 years of war sanctions.
My favorite moment as a Benfica fan was when we were champions in 2017 and during the celebrations, Eliseu rode around the stadium on a motorbike and in the locker room. For me, it was the moment that marked me as a fan, that we return to those times when there was great unity between fans and players and that we are champions again. I'm a big fan of you Trey good luck this season💪🏾 CARREGA BENFICA🦅❤️
best memory with benfica was definitely my first football match at the benfica stadium with my grandfather. seeing him smile and truly happy and proud whenever we had great possessions or goals is something i will treasure and think about all the time I think about my club.
My best Benfica memory is when I was 15y old and won a football National Championship as an academy player for Benfica. It was trully an amazing moment!! I no longer play football since I tore my ACL and meniscus last year and decided to quit football. Also basketball has always been a sport that I really like and it’s what I’ve been playing nowadays to regain trust in my knee. Hope you bring us another championship, congrats and Viva o Benfica🔴⚪️
I'd say the most special game i've attended was when i got to see benfica winning the 38th title at the stadium because it was my first time that i could really celebrate it in lisbon, it's a moment i can never forget! I'd add the funniest moment was when Big Benfica - Terrell Carter reaceived a tize sized MVP Award at the final game of this year's championship win. PS - Thank u for staying one more year with this club, it's an honour to have such a great and well rounded player in the team and also a huge role model that u are, and the message that u try to pass on your videos. Really want a photo and to trade some words with u! Hope too see u soon ! Btw - U impersonate the motto of benfica - " E pluribus Unum " - Out of many, one - U really stand out from the rest in terms of your positive attitude and willingness to try new things so u can be a better athlete and person !
My favourite memory of benfica is my first ever match i saw at the stadio da luz against AVS for the taça da liga, the game was supposed to be a small one but most of the stadium was full and the atmosphere was intense. I was shocked and in awe that agains a second division club the stadium was bombing after a 4 to 1 win. It was amazing and since im from the north in braga a rarelly get to see benfica games in the home stadium so it is a realy cool memory that I will never forget. Amazing you are also resigning with the club, I was a bit afraid when I learned that you only signed a one year deal and you might leave, so when I got the news that you weren't leaving it was a relief. Well good luck on your next season hope that everything goes well and that you win more trophies with us! CARREGA BENFICA!
My best memory as a true Benfica fan living in Porto, a friend of mine had a birthday party when we were in primary school inside the FC Porto stadium, and as a die hard Benfica fan I wore my Benfica jersey to that party 😂 I remember getting some stanky ass looks from every employee that worked there at the stadium, but it was all worth it 😂 Much love man loving the content and happy you're staying with us ❤
My best moment with Benfica was when i wacthed Benfica, alongside my wife and yet-to-born first son, win 2006 football Champion Legue match against Liverpool, with that iconic Simão Sabrosa goal. At the time we celebrated with a Benfica "Glorioso" scarf above my son, and took a photo to mark that amazing day.
I was in Istanbul an my uncle who is a Huge Galatasaray Fan brought me to your champions league match against Galatasaray and I was like yo the number 9 on benfica is so good and it was one of the coolest experiences of my life even tho you lost the game than when u got back to Germany which is were I live I opened TH-cam and your vlog of that game was recommended on my main page and I was like wait didn’t I attend that game life and I clicked on it and that is when I recognized you again and started following your journey so I subscribe to your channel and followed you on instagram and now you are one of my favorite content creators in the internet because I just love when pro ball players give these insides on the life of a pro to see what it looks like to play and train on that level
Man what a story! It seems like you were meant to subscribe to the channel hahahah It makes me feel good that you are rocking with the Atypical movement! Lets go!!
I'm thrilled that you've renewed your contract with Benfica, you were outstanding during the playoffs. The past 3 years have been a fantastic time for us. I am confident you will aid in maintaining our dominance and securing the fourth consecutive ring. When it comes to treasured memories, nothing beats the 2019 championship. We trailed Porto by approximately 8 points, which in the Portuguese League makes it seem nearly impossible to overcome them. Under the guidance of Bruno Lage, our temporary coach, we manage to completely change the season with the assistance of 18-year-old João Felix. The highlight was the 10-0 win over Nacional. The excitement within the club at that moment was unbelievable. It definitely seemed like we were invincible (and we were, at least in the league). In any case, best wishes during the offseason. Excited for your return for the upcoming season!
Straight up as a big Benfica fan ,my favorite memory was in 2018-19 football season when we started the season really horribly ,but we ended up turning the whole thing around and manage to win the League ,where I was present in a big ass victory 4-1 against Porto ,the atmosphere was special ,because it was actually in away game and winning in an away game where you see these faces of the Porto fans crazy, especially with Joa Felix'es masterclasses
Great to hear that you’ll play another year at Benfica ! I discovered the club with your vlogs and videos. I already knew the football club and followed some of their epic CL campaigns. It’s very interesting to be able to see the inside of a season as a pro player. Wishing you all the best for next season!
The best memory I have of Benfica is when we were champions and spent hours on end celebrating with the players at Marques de Pombal. If everything goes well, we will celebrate again Love you vids Love you job Hope someday i can talk to you because you inspire a lot
My special Benfica moment was when I was watching a Benfica-Porto (football) at home, alone. My dad would travel a lot because of his work but we always had the Benfica games in common... On that day his work brought him to Lisbon so he was on the stadium, while I was in Madeira watching the game at home. We scored a last minute goal to win the game and he called me crying and told me he loved me (which was really rare when I grew up). That made me cry and is still to this day one of the best memories I have of life in general
My favourite memory with Benfica was my first Clássico in Estádio da Luz against Porto in 2018. I had been to the stadium several times but had never been to such an important game like this one. I was very excited, but at the same time afraid because we had lost the championship at home last season against them... Well the match started and, as usual, Benfiquistas were putting on a show in the stands (a little biased ik😂). The first half was tense as both teams got very good chances to make 1-0. However, it was only in the second half that the stadium erupted. Seferovic scored! I screamed so much that I lost my voice. At that moment I was so happy that I hugged everyone around me even though I didn't know them (besides my sister). The last minutes of the match we had to play with 10 men because one of our players saw a red card, so you imagine how my adrenaline was 😂. But in the end we won! From that day on, I went to several Benfica games, home or away. And not just football. I've been to futsal, basketball, volleyball, handball, rugby, etc. However there's one thing that never changes. I'm never alone. We follow Benfica everywhere. Like my dad says : "If tomorrow they schedule a Benfica match in Antarctica you can be sure that you will see some crazy dudes there supporting the team". This is a religion and I am one of those crazy dudes. Thank u so much for this season and for renewing with the club. You were my favorite player this season (Btw I'm sorry to mess the comment section with my pfp 😂😂)
My best memory has to be a cold rainy night in May in 1994 at sporting's stadium. Nobody belived we could win that game and the winner pretty much would be crowned champions. The game started under heavy rain. Sporting scored one goal, then another. The rain got heavier and it seemed that all was lost. Until one small genius decided not today and scored an hattrick to turn the game around and we got to half time 3-2 ahead. The game ended 6-3 to Benfica against all odds! It was the first time that any player got a perfect 10 score from a sports newspaper. As a 10 year old, being able to watch that game live at the rival stadium is something that still gives me the chills 30 years later....
Keep working smarter bro, it's gonna pay off this season for sure ! Loved seeing you with another pro/friend going through the journey together too, cool seeing another POV of the off-season work. Can't wait to get the merch hopefully soon !
My favourite moment with Benfica was when i went to see a soccer game with my girlfriend, altought i dont watch soccer a lot, it was a stunnig experience, over 60k people on the stadium and none of them were silent. And o never saw a benfica bball game, only watched the national team, but I look foward to see you gaping Miguel Maria again next year, thank for staying with Benfica and good to luck to your season.
My best memory with benfica is when i went too camp nou to watch barcelona vs benfica (champions league football game) it was just awesome. The atmosphere, the pre-game, the game everything. Sadly seferovic (our striker) missed the winning goal at the 90th minute, but it was still a great memory
My best memory of benfica is when the football team won the champions league some time ago, when the star of the team was a player named Eusebio.A historical team for sure for those who love football I loved basketball too by the way jajajajaj, great content man, I truly think that you are one of the best content creator, and of course I love seeing your videos. Keep going, you give daily motivation to keep working to become profesional football player.
My best memorie with Benfica was the revenge year after we lost every final in the last minute. Also, the first time i saw Benfica basket in Vila Real!
i think my favourite memories of benfica are a Benfica vs Estoril in Taca Da Liga in Football and the Championship 15/16 this year are crazy and emotional year in Benfica in Football, and the last memorie and recently is the trichampionship in basketball .
Best memory, would be the first time I took both my kids to the stadium and shout out loud GOLOOO! Best of luck for the new season and teach the communication channels of Benfica how to engage with the community Greeting from Estonia! (I still have a valid address in Portugal though 😅)
Im from Lisbon my guy and my best Benfica memory is when we won at Estadio da Luz in 2014 against Porto, because Eusebio (a portuguese legend) had passed away a few days before. Great moment!! Keep up the good work man!!🫡
Hi trey!! My best Benfica memory was probably when I was at home watching the final game against Porto. I couldn’t go to the arena because when I was going to buy the tickets they were already sold out so I watched at home. Nevertheless I could feel the atmosphere inside the arena from home it was amazing and of course the monstrous game you had Thank you for renewing your contract with the BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD!!! CARREGA BENFICA🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
I have so many great memories, but seeing your video brought out some basketball memories, so I will choose a game against sporting in the 21/22 season, a clutch 2 pointer from Broussard with 1 sec to go to turn the game around and take the w, the arena was on fire 🔥. Keep going with this vlogs we love them ❤
For me it's kinda hard to choose there's my first soccer match with my dad against setubal or the 10-0 game against nacional but my favourite memory it's the time i went to a benfica practice and played with tc it was a shame you weren't there! I'm glad you renewed with benfica i hope you and the team find great sucess in the future🦅🦅🦅
My biggest and best memories of Benfica are: in Football: Victory over Sporting, at home to Sporting, by 6/3 in the 1993/994 season. This victory gave Benfica the title of national champion at that time. in basketball: victory over Partizan Belgrade, in the euroleague, yes in the 90s Benfica played in the euroleague, and in that game Benfica defeated Partizan, in Lisbon, by 112/95.
Yes, with Carlos Lisboa. In that game he score eleven 3 point shots( it was a record until 2012 when a Real Madrid player scorerd 12. Nowadays i think that record is 13.
I don't have a specific fav memory that I want to highlight. Everytime Benfica used to play, my father and I use to sit at the couch and comment on the match. I reminisce about it now because I had to move town and I miss those little moments, I guess that's why I like Benfica so much.
You should've done the partnership with Way of Wade, they've had way better performing models since that pair. I know as hoopers we got our superstitions but I think there's some benefits there. Thanks for the content!
My best memory of Benfica last season was when benfica scored 2 goals against Sporting in the final mniutes of the game and the game finished 2-1 to Benfica
Maybe this is a dumb question but how do you find good runs in the summers? Im a college player and have had a hard time finding quality runs maybe its just not having a ton of connections yet or not looking in the right places but what advice do you have on finding those quality runs?
I am a lock down defender and I play matches because my tough defense but I want to have impact on offense like more points to have what should I do and what to focus on in my workouts
if you are a good defender, than look for easy opportunities to turn your defense to offense. In terms of training, that is too broad of a question to give you an answer that could actually help you. Get good coaches around you and ask lots of questions. Keep grinding!
My best memory is the Benfica 2-0 Porto at Estádio da Luz, only a few days after Eusebio's death. We would go on and win the League, the Portuguese Cup, the League Cup, and reach the UEL final that season.
i’m from russia and our teams like cska or khimki used to play in euro league i always looked for matches against benfica it’s really sad that our teams aren’t allowed to oleg there anymore due to war
Okay i understand you are signing back, but making a statement that its one of the best teams in Europe…seriously? Talking about basketball.. Greetings from a Panathinaikos fan…..
Benfica is a all time great European club in my opinion. Rich history and has representation in almost every sport, men and women. Obviously there are higher level and richer clubs, but Benfica has a beautiful history.
My best memorie as a benfica fam was when i went to a game of football and the atmosphere was just insane i was just amazed as a kid
Made the video!! Lol. Good hoopin with you man! Best of luck this upcoming season
Keep working smarter bro, it's gonna pay off this season for sure ! Loved seeing you with another pro/friend going through the journey together too, cool seeing another POV of the off-season work. Can't wait to get the merch hopefully soon !
Appreciate that my friend.. George has a big year ahead of him, grateful to be able to share his journey a bit!
Awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing!
My best memory of benfica is when the football team won the champions league some time ago, when the star of the team was a player named Eusebio.A historical team for sure for those who love football
I loved basketball too by the way jajajajaj, great content man, I truly think that you are one of the best content creator, and of course I love seeing your videos. Keep going, you give daily motivation to keep working to become profesional football player.
My best memorie with Benfica was the revenge year after we lost every final in the last minute. Also, the first time i saw Benfica basket in Vila Real!
Not a Benfica fan but I love watching this guy
Great video Trey these weekly offseason vids are my favourite of yours
Thanks, I’ve been having so much fun making them!
i think my favourite memories of benfica are a Benfica vs Estoril in Taca Da Liga in Football and the Championship 15/16 this year are crazy and emotional year in Benfica in Football, and the last memorie and recently is the trichampionship in basketball .
tri-champeon is unreal ! Thankful to have been a part of 1!
Nah I can’t let you bypass saying meat missiles. That’s insane 🤣🤣🤣 and then bbc right after. Yall are crazy 🤣🤣
we were wilding hahahah
Best memory, would be the first time I took both my kids to the stadium and shout out loud GOLOOO!
Best of luck for the new season and teach the communication channels of Benfica how to engage with the community
Greeting from Estonia! (I still have a valid address in Portugal though 😅)
I loved the golllloooooo chant too hahah
Im from Lisbon my guy and my best Benfica memory is when we won at Estadio da Luz in 2014 against Porto, because Eusebio (a portuguese legend) had passed away a few days before. Great moment!!
Keep up the good work man!!🫡
Once a Benfica legend, always a Benfica legend. I have seen his portrait around the stadium! Cool stuff.
Hi trey!! My best Benfica memory was probably when I was at home watching the final game against Porto. I couldn’t go to the arena because when I was going to buy the tickets they were already sold out so I watched at home. Nevertheless I could feel the atmosphere inside the arena from home it was amazing and of course the monstrous game you had
Thank you for renewing your contract with the BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD!!!
Keep going with this vlogs we love them ❤
and entering the stadium with the football players at the beggining of a derby against sporting is up there too
AB is the mannnnn
@@TreyDrechsel5 💯
Way of wade series are really best Trey ; You should give them a try especially way of wade 10 are fire

Hahahahha he got boomed on
You can definitely be on an NBA roster bro. Keep working 💪🏾
For me it's kinda hard to choose there's my first soccer match with my dad
against setubal or the 10-0 game against nacional but my favourite memory it's the time i went to a benfica practice and played with tc it was a shame you weren't there!
I'm glad you renewed with benfica i hope you and the team find great sucess in the future🦅🦅🦅
Probably when i fell in love in basket 👀
My biggest and best memories of Benfica are:
in Football:
Victory over Sporting, at home to Sporting, by 6/3 in the 1993/994 season. This victory gave Benfica the title of national champion at that time.
in basketball:
victory over Partizan Belgrade, in the euroleague, yes in the 90s Benfica played in the euroleague, and in that game Benfica defeated Partizan, in Lisbon, by 112/95.
History, I love it! I knew Benfica played in the Euroleague for a bit, that was back with Carlos Lisboa yeah?
Yes, with Carlos Lisboa.
In that game he score eleven 3 point shots( it was a record until 2012 when a Real Madrid player scorerd 12. Nowadays i think that record is 13.
I don't have a specific fav memory that I want to highlight. Everytime Benfica used to play, my father and I use to sit at the couch and comment on the match. I reminisce about it now because I had to move town and I miss those little moments, I guess that's why I like Benfica so much.
Some of the simplest moments are the sweetest.. thanks for sharing.
We need more George and as always good video
Watching Benfica come back to win 2-1 against sporting last season in the football was a top tier memory 🤞
Great episode my dude!!!
I haven't seen a fat dachshund in a long time. a great Master!
1s was poppin off 🔥
Without question my favourite moment was 2-4 in Alvalade in the “reconquista” season 2019
Happy with resign!!
I liked when you ate Porto in the finals :)
You should've done the partnership with Way of Wade, they've had way better performing models since that pair. I know as hoopers we got our superstitions but I think there's some benefits there.
Thanks for the content!
Love these videos my guy! The people need these! Maybe stop by CPC runs to dawg everybody sometime
I normally go every summer, but I moved to Tacoma so it’s a drive now
way of wades are acc coated shoes. Try the all city 11 v2 or the all city 12. Wow 10s/Wow11s are also a good option
love your videos man
Thanks my friend!
My best memory of Benfica last season was when benfica scored 2 goals against Sporting in the final mniutes of the game and the game finished 2-1 to Benfica
My best memory as a benficista is when i celebrated one of the many football championships on marquês
Maybe this is a dumb question but how do you find good runs in the summers? Im a college player and have had a hard time finding quality runs maybe its just not having a ton of connections yet or not looking in the right places but what advice do you have on finding those quality runs?
Random question but where do you get those paisley shorts from that you wore around 3:54? Thanks
31:04 noooo why you scraping the fork against the pan😭😭😭
Laziness at its finest… I’ll learn
My dad loves sporting and one day I told him I liked benfica and he seriously took my plate from me while we were having dinner 😂
My best memory was when Benfica scored in the last minute against Sporting in the 23/24 season
Is it was deshaun highler from last chance u that hit the 3s in the corner? All love Trey
I know who that is but he definitely wasn’t at any of the runs I was at
hey trey how do you feel about the move insoles im thinking about buying them
Not sure yet, gotta get used to then
I am a lock down defender and I play matches because my tough defense but I want to have impact on offense like more points to have what should I do and what to focus on in my workouts
if you are a good defender, than look for easy opportunities to turn your defense to offense.
In terms of training, that is too broad of a question to give you an answer that could actually help you. Get good coaches around you and ask lots of questions.
Keep grinding!
W video
My favourite Benfica memory????
Its a daily thing, cant pick one.
Wish you all the best
My best memorie about benfica was at 11 may 2013, when you guys lost vs porto in the last minute givin us the championship
My best memory is the Benfica 2-0 Porto at Estádio da Luz, only a few days after Eusebio's death. We would go on and win the League, the Portuguese Cup, the League Cup, and reach the UEL final that season.
Benfica loves winning haha
Yo Trey will you make a training routine when the szn starts too?
Weightroom training routine???
@@TreyDrechsel5 yeah
@@TreyDrechsel5 weightroom and on court training when there’s no game days
Been wondering hm the salary is in europe lower leagues compared to the big leagues
Honestly it depends on the club more than the league
My MVP
What to do if you overthink about your teammates work ethic that they work more than you how to get focus on my carft

First
Okay i understand you are signing back, but making a statement that its one of the best teams in Europe…seriously?
Talking about basketball..
Greetings from a Panathinaikos fan…..
Benfica is a all time great European club in my opinion. Rich history and has representation in almost every sport, men and women. Obviously there are higher level and richer clubs, but Benfica has a beautiful history.
Congrats on resigning! Lithuania comes next? :)
Di Maria come back
Why are u wearing your socks the other way around?
I usually will flip them to make them not as high on my calf
