If us artistic types can't make money, and have to get an office job, the world id doomed. Imagine the chaos we would cause. The only solution is to compensate us for the money we have lost to the nerds, keep us away from the office, that can only end badly.

Start depending on AI for things and then the companies that run the servers eventually cut you off when things get busy and expect you to pay them. Meanwhile, we're left without the option to run the latest AI on our own computers. It's not exactly democratising when you're depending on OpenAI's servers and whatever limits they impose on you, including not being able to access it while they're busy without paying them. There's the matter of processing power and memory required to run all this, and we're going to hit the limits of what silicon based semiconductors can even offer

Please don’t say back in my day. New technology creates new opportunity to be creative as long as we choose to adapt. The jump from analog to digital cameras was also a big one, this time the jump is even more intense but it’s only challenging the creativity state of mind.
