At the Launch of the Bong County Service Center (CSC) in Gbarnga City, Bong- we met these traditional (Kpelle) entertainers and they rendered these selections.
What a unique display of the richness of Liberian culture. Culture is truly gold. Anyone without a culture is like a tree with out roots and a ship without a rudder!
That's was very heart worming, seeing my kpelleh father's, uncles n musical legends showcasing what anyone will call nature music n talent's. Respect to these great legends, also known as my father's n heroes to me n my children. Not forgotten the next kpelleh generation to come. Long live to MOTHER AFRICA, KING'S & QUEENS. my great ANCESTORS all over the KINGDOMS of AFRICA..more especially the KINGDOM of GUINEA & LIBERIA. I highly appreciate n acknowledge the Paths n Fundacion clearly site freely for this generation of life to follow. . Even thoughts the upper hands aka EARTH VISITORS who's choose to beery the truth they dream of. LEGENDS & HEROES never dies, the LIVES throughout FLESH, ARTS and SPIRITS or they can say Through Gwinnett of DNA. Im a Very proud SON n a living EVIDENCE of the Great KPELLEH PEOPLE. Long live my Great ANCIENT AFRICAN HEROES. Knowledge is Power, power is made by man n knowledge is passed on by the most high GOD the Creater of all. U can have the power, without the knowledge. It's powerless. Knowledge is the world most respected, accepted, secrets n priceless gift. Dog teach Dogs, dogs tricks and cat teach cats tricks. Not the other way. I'm a proud Liberian and enjoy any Liberian. But this performance has got to be the most chaotic traditional Liberian folk performance I've seen. There's no harmony, no rhythm. Seems like every member of the band was doing his own thing.
