    The silver 92 V-8 Detroit Diesel holds a special place in my heart because my first job as a mechanic (18 years old) was for a steel cutting company that had a fleet of 8 tractor trailers 5 of them had the 92 V-8's. I learned how to drive a big rig in a truck with the 92 V-8 and I can tell you that these trucks had their oil changed with the correct oil sooner than recommended and every one of them had to be rebuilt/overhauled in less than 60,000 miles.

    Hello Scott, Newbe here........well been watchin the heck out of your videos for about three months. ..love your videos. I might have to buy one of these busses just to be able to come down and meet you when you get the RV pads set up, by the looks of it you are getting famous so you better put in at least 50 campin spots.......This is the first time I watched on the computer because we cant leave comments on my Roku TV so wanted to say love your work ...keep it up.

    Scot, as usual, you finessed another one!! The Wander lodge is an amazing beast.. My son has a much earlier (1980's) one, unfortunately with a CAT v-8..We're in North Carolina, & He wishes he had a DETROIT so he could visit you and at least have you look at his air suspension , Jacobs retarder and HWH units.. I turned him onto you & your brake info has helped him amazingly! He watches you religiously! You are the Bomb!!

    can you split the temp senders to two separate gauges [left bank . right bank] ?? so you keep a better eye on what is going on on each side of the engine !! looking good 👍👍👍👍

    • @larrywalker7759
      @larrywalker7759 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Southern Hellstorm You could have separate sending units/sensors for each head serving a separate display heads in the instrument panel if you really wanted to break the information into zones. The owner would just have to decide if it would be beneficial enough to rework or modify the existing gauge arrangement. It is entirely possible that a single dash gauge with 2 separate displays ("needle pointers") handling input from 2 different sensors is available that could fit into the same space occupied by the existing coolant temperature gauge,

    Scott another great video!! The turbo - charging really does quiet the Detroit's down quite a lot w/ a good power boost Out of all engines powering buses, the old 2 stroke is the only one that has been mounted in so many different ways Inline, transverse,& pancake style ala the old Crown coach.The old Mack transit bus had a transverse mounted thermo- dyne w/ a torque converter. Scott, just kidding around you need an old self loading elevating paddle scraper Wabco 353ft model w/ front and rear 12 V-71T's for a big whopping 1050 h.p. A nice Tonka Toy to tinker with.Say that last line quickly 5 times.Ha Ha!! Best wishes for you and your family.

    You made comments for a good 10 minutes or more of this drive that clearly told this owner that you were uncomfortable with the speed he was driving. You're a better man than I because after the second or third time saying something I'd have been done. Either he'd have let me drive or I'd have called for a ride. Does this guy have Rotoguard or anything like that on those steers in case of flat because if not there's no way in hell he could save this on those roads with no shoulders. Retired OTR Driver with 1mil+ safe miles here, so no I don't play when it comes to safety. I've seen far to many fatal accidents over the years to mess around...

    Good morning. I really appreciate your videos. I have a 1994 Beaver Patriot Stratton 37’ diesel pusher. When I connect the positive cable to the 4d chassis battery the air buzzer goes off even before starting the bus. When the air pressure builds to 60 psi it goes off. When I turn the vehicle off it keeps running and I disconnect the fuel pump which shuts it down. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated . Thank you. David from Maine.
