You are the ONLY other person I know of who watches Doc Martin - isn't he a kick!! So glad I discovered your wonderful tutorials. I've always liked to color and now that I'm retired I'm learning there's lots more to discover -- markers, and gels, and glitter, and stained glass coloring books. So much fun! My retirement income makes being frugal a necessity so I only got the small tin of Inktense and wasn't having much success until I found you. Now I have a playlist of you! Thanks for the fun!

You tutorials are sooo informative & very rich & I have no words to say more. What I find in general is they do show us a really good work but some of the most important information/tips are missing which make it very difficult for a person like me (a beginner) to follow.Thank you so much Lindsey for your thoughtfulness & big heart.Great work !!!!

Another great tutorial. Intense water colour pencils are HIGH on my wish list. When we visited Story Book Gardens in London, ON they had peacocks walking around and one of the males opened up his feathers and we have beautiful pictures of us beside him. Gorgeous feather and you captured it perfectly. Love it....and I don't mind the furnace at all - it's just life!

Wow, the effect of the fan brush was incredible. You have inspired me to learn to watercolour with all your tutorials. I would love to see you paint a hummingbird. Thank you for being a great teacher.

I have been addicted to Doc Martin for years now. Don't know if you have Amazon Prime, but they have all the seasons for free there, and the new sets season is on PBS now! If you like Doc Martin, you might also enjoy Call The Midwife, also on PBS. Pretty Peacock feather. When I can get back at my supplies I will give it a go!

I LOVE vivid colors and this is beautiful!!! But I also like the flash of metallic in the first feather. How about showing us the 'whole bird'? I can just imagine what a beautiful piece you would create of that..

Neat idea about using the fan brush. I'm going to get my very first set of watercolor pencils tomorrow, I can't wait. I found some watercolor paper at a rummage sale and I'm so excited to try my first painting. :o)

Did you know that they make fan brushes with soft bristles just like your water color brushes? They do not work the same of course. Great tutorial. I really like the one done with the water color pencils the bet. The colors seem so much more vibrant. Hugs, Della

Hey Lindsay, glad to hear you like Doc Martin...I live in the same county it's filmed in (Cornwall). Port Issac is a lovely fishing village on the west side of the county and I live in the County Town, the city of Truro. Our county towns are like your state capitals :). I've only been here just over 3 years and it's funny because I used to live just outside the county town of Hampshire...guess I like the high-life LOL.
Anyway, enough rambling. I really want to try this as I can't draw! Does that make sense? You always make it look so easy and straightforward, and if I give this a try I'll be able to use my watercolour pencils for the first time :)

I recomend the show Indian doctor it's on PBS it's also a quaint village I think it's a wales(I'm not exactly sure tho) village show, I'm hooked by it....its funny heartwarming and I'm not sure exactly the timeline maybe the 50's or early 60s....loved this drawing going to attempt this I have the smaller inktense pencil set tho but I think I can mix the pencils on my cutting board to get different color combinations....many art blessing to you today

Loved this tutorial! I end up with 25 or so real feathers every summer when my peacock, More or Less, sheds his beautiful tail. I've used his feathers on cards, but having this as an option is wonderful. Want some real feathers?

I DID it. My 1st effort at watercoloring. I fully copied yours to the Nth degree--but, who'll know, besides us? How much will your silence cost me, I wonder?? Also, it was fated that I do this today as I came home to yet another DickBlick order on my doorstep. I got to experiment with my brand spanking new Inktense set of 36 pencils. Yeah!
