Good morning, Jakob. I was pretty stoked to see another video from you this morning. I hope you and your loved ones are all doing well. You must feel some relief getting your lifeboat in a better/safer deployable location. Here's a tip: Always clean the area you're working in. It's safer, and you can move around easier and find the tools you're looking for. Anyway, cya in the next video.
Thanks! Hopefully never have to actually use the liferaft, but if so, it‘s definitiv way quicker. In terms of looking for tools I can tell a lot of stories 😂 Sometimes you put it somewhere, look away ten seconds and as you want to grab it again, it‘s basicly on the other side of the boat 😅 Keeping it clean would definitely help there
A job well done!! Your boat will be warmer, less condensation etc. Very hard work, but necessary. I like the position of the liferaft, very quick to launch, but God willing, it will not be necessary. Now you can see, I am sure, why boats are expensive!! Alles gut John
Thanks for video. Can you please tell what is your yacht model and size? She looking quite roomy inside with very good roofheight. What year boat is made?
What kind of insulation have you put Jacob? It looks kind of thin. That is, if you are gonna be heading to cooler climates which it looks like your intentions are. Thanks for the cool video. Exciting. All the best.
We used a normal 8 mm foam insulation glued together with these covers www.yachticon.de/de/reinigen-pflegen/instandhaltung/bodenbelaege-und-innenverkleidung/3466/wandverkleidung-acrue-tex

Hi Jakob … nice job ..well done … you should be a lot warmer now ..and less condensation now you’ve installed some thicker insulation to the inside..I’m guessing you’re planing a trip to the northernmost part of the world ..hence the improved insulation … I’m impressed with your knowledge considering your age ..year’s ahead of your time..only one negative thing is try not to swear on your videos ..it’s not a good look and rather unprofessional…that’s the older generation coming out of me I guess.. if you insist in swearing try using more subtle gestures like BUGGER .. or FRIGGING HELL etc 😂.. apart from that your developing a potential excellent channel and look forward to seeing your ocean travels … good luck kidder 👍🫶🏻🫡
Was a pleasure reading your comment, many thanks! :) Yes, the goal indeed is to also head into colder areas such as Scotland, Norway in winter and the dream would be Patagonia one day
@@jakoblangsailingPatagonia …wow now you’re talking …Patagonia is an amazing country … the Andes mountains , the fjords, the glaciers and not forgetting the interesting culture..👍 so many head for the tropics ..don’t get me wrong the tropics are beautiful has they are .. but Patagonia is definitely something … frigging long ocean crossing though, Atlantic Ocean/ southern ocean… and so close to the Artic Circle… your definitely gonna need that insulation ..not to mention your winter woolies and thick socks ..ha ha
Would be a dream at least 😊 But yeah, as Austrian I love ski mountaineering and doing that in Patagonia would be heaven. Tropics are amazing (especially the temperatures, not as in the Netherlands 😂), but I think after a while you've seen enough, as dump as it sounds...
@@jakoblangsailingI totally agree ..once you’ve seen and experienced the tropics you eventually get bored .. I got the impression you’re very much an outdoor type … your Austrian ..every one knows it’s famous for outdoor activities …with the Alps on your doorstep makes total sense

Sailing is, when you basaicly hope, that some things are a waste of money 😂 Thanks mate!
Looks fantastic 👍
Great video Jakob. The time put in will have great benefits later. Hard work but worth it. I look forward to future videos. Keep well and safe. James.
Thanks James 🙌
Well done. Great job!
Thanks!
Thanks for video.

Wolf is a Dehler Optima 92, built in 1972 and has 9.2 meters of length
Love these vids!
Thanks, love to hear that 😊

@Dividendenheros Neue Fenster sind bestellt, haben aber ein halbes Jahr Lieferzeit. Die Borddurchlässe sind auch vom Voreigner erneuert 😃

We used a 8 mm foam insulation together with the AcrüTex covers. A thicker insulation whoul've been really hard to fit in and take up a lot of space
@@jakoblangsailing ok that sounds good though.
hi Jakob, what did you use for the insulation? Regards, Jacob ;-)
