That's why I am trying to make content for both platforms, but I generally put my focus on short expressive videos (and then I use a little bit of Famester as well to get easier into the loop)

I looked it up and she forgot to mention that in order to be eligible to get paid you must have at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in the past year, or 1,000 subscribers with 10 million valid public Shorts views within the past 90 days. Once you reach either of those, you can apply to TH-cam's Partner Program which gets you paid. I don't know why she didn't mention that but that is a very important detail. So if you don't meet those requirements don't even bother doing this because it will be a waste of time

@@ericacollins5958 in addition to the requirements, there is a risk of not being accepted into the YT partnership program depending on the type of video. there are a series of channels that will not be monetized for not complying with the community rules. so you have to be very strategic and put yourself in the advertiser's shoes, "would I allow advertising for my company to appear in this type of video?"
