One thing that I've noticed is that any Japanese brand will have better fuel average than brands from other countries. Japanese cars are THE most fuel efficient.
Honda city gives avg of about 17 to 18 km per litre within city. Please don't compare Honda City and yaris with alsvin because it is C class Sedan category and has a small tyre Rim then both of these. Honda City still has decent look then new Toyota yaris.
you should've measured route distance and average speeds by GPS to calculate average from the fuel burnt according to fillup, and compared it with what the tachometer said.
