If you actively try to ignore your partner past, you basically deniying possibility to understand them deeply. You obviously should not bring up that stuff by yourself about you previous experience all the time and should never compare your current partner with previous ones outloud.
But it really helps if you know general story of eachothers past live and where you came from. So there is no harm in asking about that. It helps to build strong relationship with deep emotional connection.

isnt there detachable nails for doing nail art? sounds really hard to grow nails long enough just to do art then get cut

There's acrylic nails, basically just nail extensions.
You can either do a full one, where you do the art on the nail extensions and glue it to your nails or a half one just extending the tip
Plus if you do nails very often, nail extensions can help keeping your nails and nail bed healthy
