You should never ride directly in line with the other rider in front of you, you will have a serious accident in your future. This is a very serious mistake. If the rider in front of you has to brake suddenly you will run in to the rider at high speed. Depending on the direction of the wind from the side. To draft properly you ride slight to the right, or left side of the wheel in front of you. About half a wheel back or closer depending on the skill of the rider in front of you. Never over lapping the wheel in front of you, also. So now if the rider brakes suddenly, or stands up to pedal (bike will come backwards) you will ride up alongside of them, instead of crashing into them. I have raced many races in my time, and my cycling team had a very good coach from Europe training us. Please watch pro racers and you will see this technique. Keep up your excellent videos. 👍🏻👍🏻
