Actually it’s based off more about the CSX 8888 Incident Only A few parts are based off Unstoppable But like 90% Of the film was based off the Crazy 8s And 5% of the film is based off Unstoppable and The Runaway Train 1985
This being 10x better than unstoppable is quite an overstatement

Just a railfan here to say some of the things are unrealstic
1. BNSF SD70ACEs are not numbered in the 800s the BNSF C40-8W is. And UP 867 is not a C45AH/ES44AC that would be 2667 or 8867.
2. BNSF 4479 isnt a gevo its a dash 9
3. Amtrak is government it was started to help during americas downfall in train travel. As well they wouldn’t shutdown a railroad because they had a runaway train (they had no reason to yet)
4. A single person wouldn’t own major railroads 5. + wouldn’t many people be there to listen?
6. Conrail painted engines havent been in there blue since 2012 on the NS and only on the shortlines they are still blue, as well dash 8s on NS were scrapped about 2018-2019
7. 10:08 *BNSF 653 and also it was repainted into H2 but did have warbonnet scheme at one point
8. When the “ATSF” engine coupled it wouldn’t start sounding like it was just about to rip-off the track (derail)
9. When the 2 UP & BNSF engines get in-front of the runaway it wouldn’t just spam the horn at the crossing
10. 16:20 saying if the train was going faster then 15 mph he would of fell off trying to get on
11 they wouldn’t use the white house to investigate that would be up to the NTSB or FRA unless it was very bad and the president needed to be involved but it still wouldn’t be used for investigation
12. A railroad employee wouldn’t know how to drive a tank + a tank doesn’t go that fast.
(Know that this is just what i found not accurate about the movie but everything is good)
I knew BNSF 4479 Ain’t a Gevo I’ve been knowing that I had to improvise in the Game Since there’s No BNSF C44-9Ws… and This former Railroad employee is a former USSR Officer And Been in the army for 5 years And Maybe The White House investigation Was only there cause that’s the second time The CEO Has a runaway train And Yea it maybe Really Unrealistic But look at unstoppable AWVR 777 Going to stanton It would have derailed right there At the curve And the AWVR Locomotive Would have Looked super damaged when it Crashed into the Boxcar But Yea Unstoppable wasn’t realistic But thank you for liking the movie and the President part was just there to spice up the movie lmao
@@Ruvssians unstoppable was pretty realstic if you think about it, if it wasnt realstic they wouldnt of done the brakes breaking on 1206, and sometimes trains look like there gonna derail but they end up caving into physics and go back on the rail.
