Hi Steph, thanks for taking us for a walk through your hometown. I liked your story about how exciting it was going into town from the farm. I have similar memories ❤
Thanks for commenting, Christine. Glad you could relate! Yes, the weekly trip to town was definitely the highlight of my week as a kid. The stores seemed so big lol. Wish the buildings were still there so I could put it into better perspective 😊😊
I’m from southern part of India. Have travelled thrice to USA and thrice to Canada. I have passed through some small lovely towns while on road trips in Canada. I have also travelled in a bus and on another occasion in train in USA. Seen quite a few pretty small towns. Intrigued at how people go about their daily lives in such places. Thanks for showing a glimpse of small town and life in such places
Steph here- yes, hometowns are very special and thanks for your kind words. I really wanted to record the town as it is now because it has already changed so much in my lifetime.
Oveh. So funny seeing u in America I’d love to meet you and your incredible friend ( I forgot ur names). Coming to Vietnam beginning December to get plastic surgery in Ho Chi Ming City
I love small towns. Such close knit community. My town in IL was a farming community. I live up in WI now. But stay connected to things going on back home via some groups on Facebook as well as classmates website. Great little tour Steph. So glad you got to come home for a visit. Looking forward to your other videos. God Bless. 🙏🙏🌺🙏🙏
Steph here- I love them too and appreciate them much more now when I did when I was younger. It felt so wholesome being back- making cider, canning berries, baking. Far removed from my life in Vietnam❤
I enjoyed the walk through of your hometown. A lot of great qualities of slow living. I'm thinking about moving after retirement to a small town..... in the countryside of Ninh Binh that is! :) 6 months stateside and 6 months abroad.
I love small, PA towns that’s where I’m from, too. Brockway, PA. It’s so hard to stay there though because of lack of jobs so I had to move to another small town in PA that is similar.
Steph here- ❤❤❤ love to hear from fellow Pennsylvanians! yes, I moved much further afield looking for opportunities, but PA will always feel like home and I’ve come to appreciate how lucky I was to grow up in rural USA.
@stephfromgotl no cơm tấm here. I've been single all my life. But no way I could have anticipated the change. But solitude is a great environment to learn, if one has the heart.

Hey, from Ohio. Currently in WV. Was in Vietnam 2022-2024 and saw many of your video. I'm vnmese.
Awesome! How are you doing? We are still based in Vietnam ❤. Steph here, btw 😊
@stephfromgotl doing well. I'm in coal country, WV, in a small town of 264. Big difference from Saigon, the place of my birth.
@jtknowlton4896 wow, I'd say that's a big difference! How's it been so far? It must be a huge adjustment!

@jtknowlton4896 I wish you all the best for this new experience ❤️

@stephfromgotl Hey Steph , im fine. Hope you both , too 🙂💐
Are there humans leaving here... So quite
The US is very car dependent so it makes small towns very quiet. You rarely see anyone on the street unless they are walking their dog!
need info on vung tau. kindly provide ur email address
