I do have 2 Maax 900 bats and their balance is extremely good. weighs 2lbs 12oz but feels like 2lbs 9oz. Great for cuts and pulls but not so great on front foot shots. I am surprised GN is selling Maax series in India considering it is 3 years old series (recently updated last year with new stickers) and was designed for Aussie pitches where most players like to play on back foot.

True. Grading depends on wood moisture content, wood density, imperfections, rebound and grains. There are bats with 15+ grains but with 50% or more heart wood but cant be categorized as grade 1 or 2 bats. Every manufacturer has different standards of grading e.g. indian manufacturers such as ss, sg, bas, etc if rate their bat as grade 1, kooka might categorize it as grade 2,3 even 4.
