Hoyo is literally writing history with genshin. That's a game to be remembered for years to come. A piece of art, advertised as a gacha game. Love your reactions, instant like.
And that's probably one of the major reasons as to why genshin is pretty much their magnum opus despite favoring honkai series. Like no hate to honkai games becuz they strive to be an amazing gacha game while genshin tries to go beyond a game and manifest itself as an art in the media history. Just bringing up all the different cultures together is such great way to unify various races and religion together (and yet dumb ppl argue on internet about pathetic things)
Kind of a shame how many people are never even gonna give genshin a try because it is "just a gacha Game that only wants your money". And yes, it is a gacha Game and yes, it wants your money. But it is not just that, there is much more to it, from the music, to the story and scenery.
You ask genshin players what they love about the game and you will probably get a dozen different answers. Genshin is not a perfect game but they've done a lot of things right. They put the world in open world.
It’s so funny to me seeing people hating on Genshin saying that other games give more gambling currency. The best part of Genshin doesn’t even use the characters that you pulled. Just transforming into a dragon, chasing another dragon through the clouds from the sky to the underground, while shooting LASERBEAMS at it with insane music in the background, IN A UNVOICED SIDE QUEST. What more can you ask for?
I feel like most of the battles in Natlan in the wild etc, are more friendly competitions to prove your strength. While a lot of lyrics sound like inspirational folk songs.
As a battle theme, it feels much more low stakes, like friendly competition and rivalry. Rather than the do or die, one step from death kinds of battle themes, a Dance in Fire feels almost like battling for the fun and or thrill of it with no real consequences. I really like it
The upbeat mood of the battle theme fits the nation's culture well. Combat both for survival and for sport is a large part of Natlan's cultural identity in the game. Natlan is called 'The nation of war' and martial prowess is celebrated there.
Another really good track that could be worth giving a listen would be 'Denied the Light' from Fear and Hunger 2 Termina. The games are pretty grim and i think the soundtracks made for it do a LOT to fit with that vibe really well.
natlan ost reminds me of final fantasy crystal chronicles ost just because of the types of instruments used. can't speak for the remastered version since i haven't played it yet, but of the original ffcc i'd recommend taking a look at "sleeping treasure in the sand" (lynari desert theme) and "unite descent" (final boss theme 2) these don't seem to have official uploads and the fan uploads tend to be looped at least twice, which for the purposes of a reaction/analysis might be a bit much. if you ever get to this, i'd look for the ones uploaded by CrystalChroniclesLover
Genshin imo didn't do these cultures any justice. The music was good, but putting that next to the whitewashed characters and cultural appropriation of the story, it looks pretty bad given the context
Remember that this is a fictional world inspired by real life culture, not that they're based on real life culture. These characters don't need to be black or whatever. Skin colour isn't indicative of an ethnicity. Else, you'd be asking why Furina doesn't look Italian despite having a Roman name.

You gotta listen to Venture of tonalamatl. It's the other battle theme for Natlan. As a musician, it is the absolute best one by far, in my opinion.
Absolutely agree! The sheer range in that arrangement is amazing.
That's also my favorite, seems underrated because it doesn't have vocals but it has nothing to envy to the others.
When africa and other southern nations meet jazz
@@genesissupernova2823 that theme have nothing african, but a mix of mexican music, and brazilian samba and bossa nova lol

well the song name is A dance in fire. We dance the heck out with this one
As a battle theme, it feels much more low stakes, like friendly competition and rivalry. Rather than the do or die, one step from death kinds of battle themes, a Dance in Fire feels almost like battling for the fun and or thrill of it with no real consequences. I really like it
In lore, it kinda is. This is a nation of competition and war, so a friendly rivalry feels right.

You deserve a like just because you put Iansan as the cover.
That was a damn good clickbait for me.
If this one makes you think "How can you fight to this?" you've gotta listen to Venture of Tonalamatl
The glory and love for battle.
Legit my thoughts when hearing this in game was “Wtf? What’s with this Zelda/Nier exploration song? Why is this the battle theme for the land of war?”
For some reason vocals in this song are giving me NieR vibe
PGR Crossing Eternities reaction
Please listen to Venture of Tonalamatl, it's so good
I would cast some votes for Limbus Canto VII Bosses 1 and 2.
Burnice trailer from ZZZ have only dancing
And there's the 1 hour long version.
That song its pure brainrot, but love it.
You HAVE to listen to Anthem of the Savannah next, It's honestly my favorite OST in Genshin yet
he has! he watched the live symphony where the anthem of the savannah was included :D
He did, it's one of the first ost he listened to since it was in the live symphony
Here to mention that PGR dropped a new banger called "Crossing Eternities" and that you should totally react to it.

doramu rogo?
so curious to see what you would think of burnice’s song, burning desires (zenless zone zero), its a banger that has NO RIGHT to be such an earworm

Mihoyo should take notes on games like Concord and Assassins creed Shadows on how to represent cultures and ethnicity properly.
@@batperson3532 please dont 😂
I agree with the african characters, but since natlan is also inspired in latin america, and latin america have lot whites so it is what it is
