    Good video man. These are the big questions ive been asking other van life channels. They will show you waterfalls, camping in paradise easy hassle free living but im like.....you gotta register the damn vehicle every year, you gotta have a physical address for the parasite govt and banks. They dont like accepting p.o. boxes and theses other van life youtubers are like "hmm i dont know what you should do" like wtf you say you've been living this van life...i suspect its alot of fakers out there promoting the "van life" who arent really van lifers. they are just actors. But you are the real deal so appreciate the solid answers. Cuz im thinking long term say you sell your house to live van life full time and you move to the west coast or east coast whereever you are, you may not find someone to use as their home address. I would prefer the hermit way of living so the van would be the home address. All my relatives are dead so cant use their address

They may be able to do a manual override and use p.o. box or post office address. Let me know if this works for you 😊😊

Have you looked onto changing to a credit union for your banking? Mine accepted my using a post office box. Credit unions also charge fewer fees, and offer lower interest rate credit cards and personal loans. I do all of my banking online. Pats to Buddy...he's looking well😸

    You being a TH-cam creator, you have your own business now. You can write off expenses that you make on TH-cam; such as, things you put in to the van camera gear you spent money on and you get the idea. There are also companies that you can have as a domicile address that will work with banking. Certain states like Florida have these companies where it works out that way. I’ve heard people talk on TH-cam about companies that can set you up with it

  • @hldye7442
    @hldye7442 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Tennessee is the Best ! Usually we vote to put in Conservative management for state-local and rep`s and that keeps taxes low and no state employment tax. There is no state inspection or emission test here in the east part of Tn.
    Ive been here for 29 years. I rent part of a building for my business and use it for my address but also do the p.o. box thing for public printing / mag`s / etc.. the longer you keep it the same then the better it is and other businesses or people get use to it. Keep up the good work.

    Been living in my van for a few years now in Virginia. Your UPS mailbox allows you to receive postal mail & deliveries from UPS, FedEx. Your post office box allows only postal mail. I tried using the street address of post office & unit number. But Postmaster sent me a letter. The address must say PO Box xxxx, Zip code.
    Besides you can't garage a vehicle at a UPS or USPS mailbox. So for car insurance, you must use a physical address. If an accident, there's a chance your claim will be denied & the insurance cancelled because your vehicle is not garaged at your physical address.
    Last year I came down with prostate cancer. Now on Disability. I can't use a friend's address because their income adds to mine. You must live in a separate residence or the lease stipulate you don't share expenses. The hospital, social security, SNAP & my bank accept the PO box as a mailing address. All my bills are opted for paperless.
    For a couple years after I started van life, my old apartment was empty. So my neighbor collected my mail & called me. But a law student moved in. I started getting tons of mail from social services. So I forwarded everything to PO Box. Few items still slip through.
    But my driver's license has my old address. Next year is renewal. I need to find a cheap apartment so I can change it to a legitimate address where I actually live. And keep the van for transportation & occasional van life. Escape plan.

    If you make less than $75,000 per year, you can e-file for free. You just have to go to the IRS website and follow the link for "File taxes for free" then you can either answer a questionnaire to get matched with a service or browse the services yourself. I always do the TaxAct because it includes everything and the state is free too.. If you go through the TaxAct website they will trick you into paying for this form or that so you have to go through the IRS link to get the free file.
