Tired of hearing "unwinnable" matchup In Every comment section. It obviously isn't THAT bad if the best Belmont and the Best Luigi played this close. -1 probably.

@@NVS_Snake But you have to take into account that this isn't as simple as just being "best Belmont vs. best Luigi." Elegant is not only the best Luigi, but a highly ranked PGR player while Dom is only PR. Dom is not on the same level as Elegant in terms of skill or consistency, yet this MU clearly still gave Elegant a hard time. Judging by Luigi and Belmont's tools, and how we see it playing out in tournament, it wouldn't be surprising if this MU really were almost unwinnable for Luigi, or at least a difficult -2.
Richter combos are cool but playing against him makes the game unenjoyable.
Just when you're a scrub who can't fight against zoners. When you learn the bare minimum about fighting games and stop holding forward like an idiot, Richter is a pretty balanced zoning character
@@ericmoreira670 heavily depending on your character.... your air speed matters alot which makes this match up hard regardless if you know zoner match ups
From time to time I can really enjoy the challenge of trying to find my way through projectiles. I don't really find it more annoying than getting combo'd to hell and back by Joker, Sheik or Falco.

It's already really difficult and frustrating to deal with a decent Richter, let alone someone at Dom's level. I can't believe how well Elegant performed. I think Elegant still has a chance; it's not "unwinnable" but it takes so much self control, patience and focus since getting hit multiple times and always feeling like you're trapped from Richter's projectile and range is EXTREMELY difficult to deal with as the match drags on.
you just can’t get put on the ledge as Luigi once you start getting ledge trapped it’s over you need to push advantage state as hard as you can every chance you get and never drop combos cause you never know if you’ll even get another grab or opening the whole game it’s a tough matchup for sure but not impossible just requires you to be patient and precise
Agreed I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to play against a top level Ritcher and your character has no reflector or such way of dealing with projectiles. Regardless both players did great.
This was a really great set!
Dont get me wrong dom is a top player for a reason but like this is just basically training mode with stage hazards

I've been watching Elegant play too for a while and the dude is fantastic for sure.

Elegant sucks
I’m sorry but this projectile nonsense is so corny to watch. This is not even fun. Even if Elegant wins, it’s just not fun. One player takes the risks, while the other runs away and uses ranged attacks the whole time. Just boring.
I don't mind watching zoners. I think it's fun to watch the other player weave through the projectiles to get in. It takes precision.
Also, Dom isn't just throwing projectiles randomly, he's using them for setups. The forethought that Dom has to be ready when his projectiles hit is pretty fun to watch IMO.
These guys aren't very good. I'm not impressed anyway.
