I remember seeing the Wagah border ceremony on Michael Palin's Himalaya series and I was delighted to see it for real in 2019. I had to remind myself that I'm not Indian as I was totally immersed in the joy and pride shown by the crowds for their amazing country I was cheering and manically flag waving and I didn't want it to end, but it did and I was in a buzz for days afterwards. Did you visit the Partition museum? That was really interesting we spent a good few hours in there. I gave the Jalianwallah Bagh a miss though as we had just been to the Golden Temple where I was so moved by the compassion and equality and serenity of the place that it just felt wrong to go to somewhere were an act of such cruelty and arrogance had happened Anyway thanks for another great vlog and best wishes on your travels.
👏👏👏 I take my hat off to you both for your excellent you tube videos with Pete in your tour of India. I've watched every episode with tears of joy. In my own opinion I don't think any other you tubers can touch your presentation of India as the both of you have presented THOSE HAPPY DAYS 👏👏👏
Yes Liam and Janine are a very hard act to follow. I also vlog about India and I'm pretty good at it even if I do say so myself hahahahahaha 😆 But Liam and Janine are one in a million 👌I'm a top fan of their channel ❤
the parade on the border was amazing. I've never seen anything like it. What an Original and peaceful way for two country's to come together and celebrate their differences. Fantastic viewing. Thank you.
The Jallianwala (also spelled Jallianwalla) Bagh massacre, also known as the Amritsar massacre, took place on 13 April 1919. A large, peaceful crowd had gathered at the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, British India.... The British Gov have some stuff to answer for over the years... Britain has never formally apologised for the massacre but expressed "deep regret" in 2019....
What a marvelous video it shows that all you need to do is to show kindness and you get it back. Amazing places you have shown us. I loved the high kicks of the soldiers! It's not the destination it's the journey and you have proved that. ❤x
Hey Happy Folks !!! Very pleased to watch you gift PETE to a dog sanctuary. Am sure Amritsar visit has left with a very different kind of satisfaction in the way you have ended your India visit. Thank you for taking across the length and breadth of the country showing to us the diversity in Indian custom, food habits etc. It was fun traveling along with you. All the very best.
Wow! My poppa was 🇮🇳 by birth, went to South Africa 🇿🇦 with the British Army, hopped on a boat with some Aussies, because an illegal immigrant married my Aussie granny yr 1917. That began our Aussie/Anglo family. I was born Australian 1947, the yr of the Indian/Pakistan divide! Therefore, from that moment on, my Indian roots became Pakistani! Divided and lost to us until this day, unfortunately. Seeing you guys at the border somehow pulled on my heartstrings! We've been as far as the Rajasthan/Pakistan border during our Indian travel experience. And remember the issues that we faced security wise there. Well done you, getting to see that amazing show! Extraordinary! I loved the tweaking of the moustache 😅 Thanks for this video. Remarkable.
Wow. Such amazing memories for you both. That border ceremony was mind blowing. The Golden Temple looks stunning. The kindness of the Sikh community feeding anyone is beautiful. 🤗 It must be cold if Liam has shoes on 😅 Thanks for sharing your adventures. Stay safe and happy travels. Xx
I loved the border ceremony and the temple looked amazing. With the memorial gardens turning something so sad into something so pieceful. Amazing video thank you.
Wow! What an amazing place. Everything is so colourful in India, it’s a joy to see. Thank you again for letting us share your extraordinary adventures looking forward to next week’s video. 🙏🏻🌞🪷💖
The border guards were very entertaining. You're right, "only in India". I magine there was some special event happening in the Golden Temple because when we went there 40 years ago, we got into the temple and were able to lounge and listen to prayers being song, not that many folk were lined up to see it...interesting. They were feeding lots of folk then too.😍😍

Thank you for showing the world the kindness of mankind. I’m in America and these days it seems like there is no basic kindness to our fellow man. Y’all have absolutely shown that there is. Thanks guys! Can’t wait for next week.🙂

When you think you've seen everything India is all about there's high kicking border soldiers in crazy hats twirling moustaches. What a display, loved it. Does it happen every day?
Just when we think we've seen it all in India, another unique event pops up-- and all due to ur great generosity! The border ceremony was almost whimsical while performed so expertly. The hot, spicy food was killing me, and not a potato in the house here! Dang! The Golden Temple is such a cherished favorite in all of India!. Thank you again, dear Day family, for another unexpectedly entertaining journey! ❤
I am so happy to see another fabulous video and education of India. Although it is sad to leave Pete behind, you donated to an animal shelter. The invites you get are because of the caring individuals you are and what you both bring to us in not only the beautiful scenery but, indeed, the people where they are. Oh, that baked sweet potato on an open steamed fire. I would love mine with vegan butter! Jenine looks lovely in her maroon and winter hat. I unfortunately can not tolerate spicy and hot food. What a beautiful room and enjoying some tea. What a journey today. How different is getting a call with a number to enter customs? See. When you least expect and do not expect anything, your generosity in donating to Pete touches hearts. The lady soldiers are gorgeous. Wow their military vehicle is huge. Wow entering the stadium like celebrities. The military teams and show off is a show to see. Thank you for the view. Wow the competition of the India and Pakistan sides. Oh my when the gates open and soldiers faced each other and shook hands. Now that is a Border Security that is amazing. Truly shows the people and the love of their millitary. Fabulous.
Thankyou so much for this video of Amritsar . You have given me am opportunity of seeing the border and the Golden temple, which we havnt seen in our travels to India. You made my day again. Loved it. ❤

The Wagah border show is supposed to be a show of aggression and power, but with cheer, celebration and a handshake. Like some of our food- sour and sweet together . Indo-Pak is supposed to be the most dangerous flashpoint in the world, but considering what's going on in the world today , there's the fact that we haven't thrown missiles at each other for many, many decades if ever. When an Indian visits Pakistan he's received with tremendous love and vice versa. That’s the most horrific thing I have heard. Why did the British assume that it was ok to slaughter innocent men woman and children? I am disgusted. The Indian people didn’t deserve to be treated so cruelly. They are beautiful kind generous loving people. This video is amazing so full of love and positive vibes❤
I went to the Haynes motor museum in Somerset UK the other day and there was a rickshaw exactly the same shape as Pete( though obviously without the colourful Happy days wrap)and it really made me think of you both. Thank you for a lovely video as always xx
Fab video and have loved watching this series. On another note, I was so excited to see Morgan driving through the town the other day, didn’t catch who was driving though. Am hoping this is good news for you guys and you are back on the road. Looking forward to the updates. ❤
Over the Past year, you guys have done more than most could fit into a lifetime, absolutely amazing to watch your video's, and taking us along with you on your adventures, and amazing to you guys make the decision to Donate Pete to the Doggie Sanctuary, a very kind gesture indeed, Pete is a Legend ,Best moment for me was Janine saving Pete up in the Mountains from the Edge...Love you guys
And btw the Indian lad with the flute, now that was proper until our lot turn it into the knight ryder music lol, that lads Indian flute was first class , still loved the handshake between the border gates...that was Epic m8
I always look forward to your vids. Today especially I was feeling low and in need of a pick me up. And you've put such a smile on my face . So enjoyable . Thank you namaste
Visit Varanasi if you guys have time, it's one of the oldest living city in the world and it's Indias spiritual capital ❤ And love you videos and appreciate your hard work for making videos ❤❤
The border ceremony is something you would expect to see on one of Joanne Lumley’s ventures around the world. It was brilliant to watch, it must have felt like one of life’s really special and original experiences…
Another lovely sunday morning catch up ❤ I'd love to know how you both are always so positive and happy. Do you never have wee arguments or niggles??? 🤔
You can trust India with blind eyes, we have been surveying America for the last 50 years, we can also trust others with good, honesty is our identity.
That border event was so bizarre but amusing nonetheless Such a great experience of a different culture! Looking forward to your next video! Hugs from South Africa 😊
Our country has temples, churches, gurdwaras, mosques, where else will you find such a country, these are the ones, you will not bring ego only like this, Indians say.

Things are done to make people submit to fear to prevent uprisings in colonies.
This is just one event. There were countless more. Most infamous mass murderer was Churchill who starved 4 million people in Bengal.
